In case you didn't know, the Cybertruck still has a frunk. So it still has a crumple zone, just a tad bit less effective due to the all stainless steel exterior.

Well actually cybertruck should be less safer than other teslas. Crumple zone is what absorbs the impact as the force needs to transfer somewhere. In case of cybertruck the body/exoskeleton is hard and won't crumple as easily.

You want the car to take a lot of damage. It needs to crumple to absorb the energy from the impact. Also of you watched the video, other cars are rated just as high as Tesla in the safety ratings. It's not unique to that. It's unique that it's a new car manufacturer capable of doing it, but others new cars selling for $35k+ starting can or do preform the same.

Tesla received a crash score a little bit higher than my car, because of all the hazard recognition cameras, sensors, radars that take action moments before a crash (which I don't have) - but the next best cars on crash test that are not as technological is Volkswagen Group cars (Audi, VW, Skoda, Seat etc). Volvo was long renowned but no longer drive their cars off the pier to crash test them, they adopted a more "sporty" image and their vehicle rigidity suffered as a result.

I talked to the owner of a BIG car company and he said electrical card have 5x times less parts. He closed many of his buildings-that-builds-cars (forgot the word) to focus on electrical. However, the lower door-hinge pillar moved in 8 inches, and the door sill buckled amounting to a moderate risk of injury to the driver’s lower leg. Other top safety pick cars did better in that test.

On a 2 lane country road north of Tampa, the vehicle suddenly veered to the right away from the double yellow centerline, scaring the bejeesus out of me until I realized what had happened: an oncoming DHL van had crossed the centerline more than a quarter mile ahead, and my Tesla "saw" it before I did and took avoidance action.

You can see quite clearly from the pictures that Tesla moves backwards in a collision and it says that not all collision forces are committed to changing the car's fashion, ie the collision is elastic and this means that the g forces on passengers are much higher than cars without a rigid body.
Tesla can be compared to the oldest cars with a rigid beam frame.

@Sean Salazar the fire rate of a model 3 is much lower then that of gas cars. From what I've seen a battery car cannot really blow up, there is no real pressure storage mechanism like a gas tank, it can pop and look like a fire work show but not as dangerous as liquid burning fuel that gets spilled by a gas tank.

@@drpepper684 there have been several, i cant reacall how many where by accident or other factors, but to my knowledge no model 3 has bursted into flames for fault of the manufacturer.

Where model 3 falls short is the neck whiplash protection. Due to unadjustable headrests one needs to sit askew so that one can keep one's head in a relaxed upright position. That in turn exposes you to a whiplash injury since you head will not be stopped by the headrest in case of a crash. They really should also use taller manikins in these tests (at 01:29 you can see how small they are)!
