My god the way he INSTANTLY switches back and forth between that smooth, radio-friendly, wonderful baritone to that iconically hoarse squealy nightmare voice is just absolutely baffling to me how does he DO that. And also he manages to sound quite a lot like Martin Freeman while reading Bilbo's lines! In awe of his talent creativity and mastery

I absolutely love the fact that he's doing The Voice in the audiobook. It's like Gollum is always alive inside him, just waiting to come out.
I absolutely love that he used his Gollum voice from Peter Jackson's movies! Yes!!!!!!
And he imitates Martin Freeman as Bilbo very well.
The Gollum voice hasn't faltered at all in 20 years!

I just finished his audiobook; his portrayal of each character was PHENOMENAL, particularly that of Thorin, Gandalf, and Beorn (aside of the obvious, Smeagol/Gollum duo).
Does he sing Far Over The Misty Mountains to the the same tune as the movie?

I caught a bit of it, and not bad. Serkis sounded a touch menacing in some bits of chapter one. Next time I think a full cast version would suit.

Okay . . . I'm not much into audio books, but I have GOT to have a copy of this! Mr. Serkis does a wonderful job here.
He has made an official audio book on Audible that you can purchase. Its amazing! He needs to do the LOTR series next! I will buy it (not sure about everyone else)

Elijah Wood is pretty good. His work on Huckleberry Finn is amazing.
It's amazing that he can switch so quickly and effortlessly between Gollum, Bilbo and "the narrator". For sure Andy is one of the most superior voice actors out there.
I've always found it interesting how gollums voice has a lower sound and a higher sound simultaneously

I've just finished listening to The Hobbit audiobook on Audible. I reeeeeeeeally hope Andy narrates more. Was honestly so much fun to listen and imagine along to.

I read the hobbit yesterday while I was at work and i got to read riddles in the dark and i did my impressions of Gollum that hast to be my favorite chapter
His Bilbo dialogue is just as good!

He did a phenomenal job bringing the characters to life, brought back my imagination from when i was a kid reading the books.

Hearing him go be between characters is fucking insane
when I was reading the chapter, I would read Gollum’s lines in the way Andy Serkis does it.
The funniest part is how well and distinct the different voices are and if you close your eyes you can tell the characters apart.
His Gollum voice is also now the definitive version of it, he really made it come to life.
