Beautiful and profound, the effect this teacher had on Ian's life at a time when Ian desperately must have needed encouragement and validation in his existence, ❤😢
A reason Ian was so emotional was that Mr Pigden saw something in Ian as a child..he also saw him start getting into trouble so got him involved in the school footie team. That's a magnificently beautiful moment captured on film.
It makes me cry. Wonderful.
Turned out he could score goals but couldn't officially play in the team as ge had no boots and no way his simgle mom could afford then. Mr Pigden bought him those boots.
I remember him explaining all this and more on I'm a celebrity..he actually said Mr Pigden saved his life because he'd started getting into crime and said he'd have either got killed or spent his life in prison and that ALL he has achieved in life is because of this wonderful man .. they had kept in touch for yrs but Ian moved and they lost touch..then he heard he had died..hence the shock..he said Mr Pigden always took him to his home after the game where his wife would have a lovely tea set out..cakes too..he said he always went home with lots of cakes that she'd just baked too many of..He saud he'd let them down by not keeping in touch..ge was a pallbearer at his funeral as his wife had died a while ago.
I love the fact that he take off his HAT to greet him and he get to see him before he pass away 💗
The tear that fell from Mr. Pigden's face on Ian's head when they hugged. Love's baptism. ❤
Ian Wright is an absolute legend and a gentleman
God Bless teachers that touch lives as this teacher CLEARLY touched Ian's. This was so beautiful I had to watch it over a few times. 💜
Amen. Thank you.❤
Amen.
You don’t get many but when you do it’s amazing.
@@Montycarlo10 there are many, most.
Woah now... less of the 'touching' stuff yeah?
So beautiful: "hello Ian" with the voice of an old, wise gentle angel ❤️
OMG, the way he took his hat off.😢 So much respect here between them. Had me in tears. Beautiful. ❤🙏😇👍
Wonderful when our childhood heroes stand the test of time. God bless you both. 😊
I love the way he takes off his hat to show respect to his teacher.. 😢
One of the best things on the internet. Authentic. Genuine. Uplifting.
Two gentlemen both served their country well 👏
Breaks my heart knowing he met someone he thought was dead and most of us will never get that chance. Heartbreaking
When I were 15 I once met a guy one day that my mother told me had been stabbed and thrown over board on a finnish cruise ship. This man used to tuck me in when I were 9 years old.
2 weeks later that man cut of my right point finger with a dull bread knife.
@@timjauhonen5624 that shaped your thinking, dont let it shape your existence
@@timjauhonen5624that sounds awful. Guessing your mother was just trying to protect you rather than hurt you.
I love the RESPECT HE GAVE him by taking off his hat.. This really touched me❤
yes it touched me as well ...
Him breaking down, mr. Pigden tearing up...me just balling! I've seen this a couple of times before, but it never gets old.🥰
Rest in peace mr. Pigden.🙏🏽🕯🤍
Beautiful. You see tears fallin from the old man when they hug each other ❤
Seeing the tear fall from his teachers cheek got me. So very beautiful ❤️
I was looking for this comment. That read hits home
Yup
Respect is shown immediately when he took his hat off. You just knew
Hats off Ian! True gentleman and great soccer player 🙏🙏
A true reaction from the heart ! Nothing else make my mail heart warmer !
I love the sign of respect right away. Hat off and right away addressed him as he did back in school days as mr pigden. Gave me chills
Godspeed sir. If Mr. Pigden was able to make such an impact on a lad's life, praise him for him playing for England more than his time as an Ace, shows the humbleness in that man's heart. And I pray as an American I find somebody I can look up to like this. What a gentleman, rest well Sir ❤️
Look close to u, look hard, that person is there mate.
Yes, every one needs a mentor like him who truly cares about their Spirit. Best of luck in your future endeavors
It would be remarkable to have teachers like this today !,[ts a shame what has happened to not only the curriculum is obscene and much sex and gender taking the place of real teaching !
@ritakenny1887 what's a gender? Lol very sad question to ask after 1000's of years.
