Lowkey I hate how skate parks popped up everywhere, and how some places are just perfectly fine with skaters being there. They don’t know the struggle and stress 😂😂
Ellis did a demo at my local and was heaps cool, chatting to him, he was trying an evil knevil gap, 1/4 to 1/4 . I was pretty stoked, Cab and Vallely were there, I think Kenny Hughes. Jasons a legend 🇦🇺💪
Jason and Mike V are 2 of the coolest guys in skating. Mike v was winning competitions weekly and was still down to chill and talk with the kids who were around. Jason is goofy and chill.
I remember Jason Ellis coming to bumper shoot in Seattle in like 96 or 97. He was skating a very ramp that was there. I remember he was getting a photo of him do kickflip Indy on the very ramp.
He isn't a good fighter the four punks he fought were drunk kids he was off balance didn't land a good punch on anyone and all the footage of him him hitting security is sucker punches
@@jackdaniel3345 doubt it lol he couldn't even drop those drunk kids he usually sucker punches people he really isn't that scary plus im a six foot two 100 kilo construction worker from Australia and deal with cock head idiots at the pubs here on a regular basis
Love listening to Jason Ellis's stories one of my favorite Athletes, Podcasters, Comedian, and skateboarder overall an amazing person whose career is just taking back off I'm glad to see you in 2022 just destroying the comedy circuit.
Some people are just born different, man. My old man was like that. Just a rolling tank of fury when you got him pissed he’d take out a whole group of guys. I did not get that characteristic from him lol I ended up taking boxing and BJJ to balance out the fact that I didn’t have that inner rage to lean on in an event like that. Even then I still don’t think I could take more than 2 guys (very situationally). Just something you’re born with, that rage. Him and Mike V lol
Someone should have told him that you can just walk across the Canadian border like nothing 👀🤷....fuck the border crossing stations 💯......just walk through the woods, it's NOTHING like the Mexican border 🤦🤦🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Property owners hire security to protect their real estate. I have always been of the belief that if you are asked to leave somewhere you respect that. I can't stand people that are dicks to security. It's hard enough for them.
Respect is earned not given no matter who you are. They new he was a pro athlete, it’s not like he was sneaking in a bunch of buds it was his wife and kid. Instead they wanted to act like dickheads. Sorry about your luck.
Security is there to spot people doing things they aren't supposed to. It's PD's job to actually enforce the laws and put a stop to it. At no point should security be the ones to escalate things and go hands-on with someone, since they (depending on state) don't really have the authority to lawfully restrain someone, and certainly don't have the authority to gain compliance through force to effect lawful arrest.
These stories are priceless…especially if you grew up in skating in the 90s/2000s
Yeah I wasnt very good but I was enamored in the culture of it all.

I love how humble Jason is , dude fucking RIPPED and he never talks himself up or is cocky, always a very humble guy
All he does on his podcast is talks about himself.

Host should ask interesting questions
If they said “ hey Mike V is in trouble..” i would have said “ no whoever Mike is brawling with is in trouble” 😆
Agree. Jason saved that from getting way worse probably, "accidentally."
Why? He can't fight and he just ran from that security lol.
Been a fan since the faction days. Would listen to this dude for hours (surreptitiously, at work). Fucking badass.

As a Hughes I can say this, V has always been the man.
Valley has that aura about him. Scrap magnet
*BINK.!* 🤣💀
i cant imagine being a security guard having to deal with the two scariest skaters coming at me at once
Kelly and Rodger could easily run skateboard history 101
