Abhinav Banerjee Nola 1 is probably my favorite on that album but I really like both of those too. I love how open she is about her sexuality and really helps donate to the lgbt+ community
The irony of her saying that she doesn’t want to “trap” her lover in a song, yet it’s only through a song that she can express this depth of love she has for them... it’s just a brilliant commentary on what it means to be an artist, and the way that certain sacrifices are inevitable for the sake of creating something. She’s also challenging this idea that art always has to memorialize something ugly or negative in order to make us connect with it; she seems to be making an argument here that it’s just as important for art to be a reminder of beautiful feelings and memories, too.

In fact, it's understood at the beginning of the song, it starts sad. It's an emotional song. However, in the following parts, the energy increases and suddenly we get a happy atmosphere. Just like the hand that reaches us when we sink to the bottom, when we lose hope. It pulls us out of the darkness, and we can finally breathe.
I can't help but think of my nephew when I hear this song. He just graduated high-school and he is such a caring innocent soul. I just want to keep him in amber, safe from the outside.

I've only started listening to Pvris recently with this album (I knew a few songs before). Right now I'm trying to get through the first big move of my life, a breakup from over a year ago that has been excruciatingly painful to move on from, and not seeing many of my friends or just people in general due to the lockdowns. It's a strange chapter of life and I'm doing okay but also not okay (Good To Be Alive describes that feeling so well). I love my few closest friends that are still around in my life even if some have moved away. This song makes me think of them and how much I value their friendships, hoping that they'll always be that constant no matter what life has been like lately. Wish we had more songs about friendships, because sometimes that kind of love can be just as emotionally intimate and passionate, at least to me. I love my friends so much. They're a serious part of what is keeping me going right now.
