I think it's because Tove Lo sound like Selena or Selena sounds like Tove Lo. I love Tove Lo, but yes, she sounds like Selena in one song. Tove Lo really reminds me of Johanna Mason from the Hunger Games - I don't know if anyone else has ever thought the same! She's fierce and powerful but also clearly vulnerable and damaged. This song sounds more like Johanna than Katniss because it has a lot of anger and hatred, also Johanna is so witty and brave but scared as well. They also look alike (Jena Malone)! What do you think? "My necklace is of rope, I tie it and untie", "I've got my fingers laced together and I made a little prison and I'm locking up everyone who ever laid a finger on me", "I dream all year, but they're not the sweet kinds, and the shivers move down my shoulder blades in double time", are all sufficiently dark lines, in my opinion. It just matters what you consider to be dark. Lorde is pretty good at dark lyrics.

And guess what a month ago my nephew was reading the first book so I got my mother to read the first few pages because I thought bits of it she would actually like...... Although i am not to fond of this singers actual personality, she has an absolutely beautiful voice, and to tie in with the inhuman vocal talent she can write. Her lyrics are literally perfect on every song. Ebba's voice should be a inspiration to most if not all singers that are starting.

Although i am not to fond of this singers actual personality, she has an absolutely beautiful voice, and to tie in with the inhuman vocal talent she can write. Her lyrics are literally perfect on every song. Ebba's voice should be a inspiration to most if not all singers that are starting.
