This is the first run I’ve seen of Galaxy, ever. Congrats on the record. Few things. 1. Your surfing gives me anxiety thank you. 2. Why do you shoot star bits before grabbing a star? Is it a time save on the results screen or a “this doesn’t really waste any time so may as well” kind of deal? 3. How much lower do you think the timer could possibly go? With the little mistakes you’ve made it seems it won’t go under 2:11:00 but I’d like some inside thought. Just wanted to get my thoughts out there, always good to see a run make it to the end, record or not.
2: yeah there is a text box at the end of every level that shows coins and star bits so we try to avoid those wherever we can 3: I could probably see like a mid/low 2:12 with current strats but this game is getting pretty ridiculous now lmao

I've recently interested in SMG speedrun community, and watching an incredible speedrun of my favorite game played with my mother-language is beautiful! Huge respect❤

G1 or G2? 2) How heavily competed are these games? 3) How do you learn these massive runs compared to SMO runners who have to memorize a barely hour long run and is there any advice you have for new runners? Specifically for SMG2
1) My favourite is SMG1! 2) Not very much anymore LMAO, it comes in waves tbh 3) Back when I learnt the games I much preferred splitting parts of the run into segments, and learning those individually, but everyone has their own style of practice/learning that works better for them! All I recommend for new runners is to have fun with it, if you enjoy running the games the motivation to improve will come with it!
He's using joycons here (switch) but I know most people will use a mix of velcro and elastics. I do mine quite similar to Jhay where I take both wiimote covers off, and add a strip of velcro down the left side on one c and right side on the other and then an elastic over each at the top and one at the bottom. If you watch his SMG2 gdq he shows it off briefly quite a few times
@@RED-ch4rz You're welcome. I don't know for sure if Korean is the shortest but my very limited knowledge of speedrunning has taught me that high level speedrunners change the language of the games they play just to get through text a few seconds quicker
