My open plea to the respective Head of Comedy for BBC/itv/Channel 4/ erm, LWT, er, Anglia TV... Please, please give messrs Popper & Seraphinowicz lots of money and airtime for a third series!
I remember discovering Look Around You late one night on BBC Two or whatever channel it aired on and having that weird initial confusion over whether it was legit or not because they managed to recreate those old 'Television For Schools' programmes down to the finest details.
There is a great piece of footage I recall where hands were placing cables, connecting with clips to something. I think it was the pyramid? And just the fact that the hands were struggling to do this simple task... where you would expect 100% they would do a Take Two if it had been a serious educational show. I don't know why really but it got me and I was ROTFL!
@@mikebailey783 also Markets of Britain! One of the best short films of all time. The problem is that people need to start and continue watching it to realize that it's not some dull old garbage.
@@neithere You're totally right; I love Markets of Britain so much, and, like so much of Popper & Serafinowicz's work, it does need to be watched all the way through to pick up on all of the little nuances, and lose oneself in the world they've built.
I don't think it was completely awful. I think there were probably 10 mins of good stuff in each episode, the rest just didn't work. I just wish we had another couple of series of the science ones. Pure genius
@@prappsy There’s good stuff in it but what each episode needed to do was build to a point of chaos where the craziness from all the different segments converge at the end. The “live” episode does it quite well but overall it needed things to be more extreme. “Thanks, Hanks. Thanks.”

If these boys have taught me anything, it's 'Never give a gypsy calcium'. These words will be etched on my tombstone.
Someone asked for a third series of Look Around You. But I'd prefer a first series of Tarvuism or a TV version of Radio Spiritworld.
Look Around You, really was fab
Yes, and its mini sister-documentary 'Birds of Britain', was where I learned that baby birds, are called... 'bees'.

What *are* birds?
We just don't know.
Intermission... Oh-veer.

That Time Line won’t manage itself.
His Royal Highness Sir Prince Charles. Now, of course, His Majesty Sir King Charles.
Jonathan Ross 😩
Series 2 was awful, Series 1 was genius.
