I grew up learning how to harvest up to how to stitch nipa. And I also know how to do it til finish up to the roof 😅😅😅 and nipa fruit jelly is one of my favorite... our place n Antique is surrounded by Nipa and Coconuts.
Good morning, I watched 2days ago but now I 've written my comments. YES, for your plantd, Don't ever ever water the plants during day time, it will die, it's good to water after 6pm, may be ask gor help from ur neighbir to do it for you, kase po Ms. Sherlyn mag ba blanched yon mga leaves until mamatay na..kase para pinakulo mo yon tubig kase mainit ang lupa. Or early in the dawn at 4am it best to water also...ganon ang gawa ko sa mga halaman ko sa backyard namin, kata very healthy nila kahit summer time. Thanks po f u read these. God bless you Finn & Sherlyn. Hello Jake u like watermelon.🙏✌❤😘🐕🐕
Thanks a lot again, Finn, for sharing your vlogs about the Marine life Biodiversity. It's so fascinating watching those underwater creatures. I hope you can share your home building vlogs more often. Lovely vlogs as usual. Good luck and take care of you and Sherlyn.❤❤❤
Thanks for always showing us the progress regarding your construction Finn at the sam time with your diving. It's always feels good to watch the very healthy coral reefs as well as those fishes and turtles
Wow! When your house is done it will be amazing, you'll be living in the best of both worlds.. where the sea meets the sky! You are so blessed..🙏🙏🙏🌹🐣🐣🐣
Good Morning. Finn and Sherlyn. Feel for you both having the brownouts. Happy you could save some of your plants. Jake is a good boy around the plants. The pork belly looked so good. Amazing underwater footage. Wow. Insane. So beautiful. Gives me goosebumps. Your footage is insane. The corals. Fish, and the beautiful turtle. Truly spectacular. Thank you for sharing. So excited for you both. Thank you again for sharing your building journey. The nipa hut is a great size. Great chillout zone. Love how you are both forward-thinking in planting. Homegrown is the best. You both seem to have natural green fingers. Life is good. Thank you for sharing. Happy Sunday. Big cuddles for Jake.
Finn, people who live in the Philippines installed Solar Power. The electrical supplies are not dependable. They always have brown outs. Hope you build one on your new home. Good luck.
Dhay Sherlyn tanom mo ug Coconut tree anha ibutang sa inyong boundary land coconut tree is good for us plant like 50 pieces you got a big land so im just advise only we can make money someday if they are bearing the coconut 🥥 okay good luck guys and god more blessings both of 👍👍👍🌾🌾🌾🍀🍀🍀
Happy Sunday, Finn and Sherlyn! Couldn't help but agree with Sherlyn imagining cooking/washing dishes looking out at Apo island. What a sight to behold! Btw, loved the background music of the underwater footage, 1st time hearing it if I'm not mistaken and amazingly beautiful ocean species. Just so you know I ordered these green shades/net also fr Shopee to protect my plants fr the hot sun. Yes, the leaves were getting burned! Cute nipa hut you got there! So hot and humid in our place this dry season. Nice of you guys to have a place up in the hills where it's more windy. True, we only got one life to live so we enjoy it while we still can and be thankful of our blessings. Thank you for the wise words at the end, Finn, and for being an inspiration. God continue to bless and protect you guys.
I like that nipa hut…good to take a nap in the afternoon during summer breeze and a place to watch birds. Enjoy the underwater vlog of Apo diving..thanks Finn and Sherlyn! Excited to see your house get done. ☮️
Finn, that is a baby praying Mantis! And your tire inflator/pump is essential in your car alongside with a god battery charger. Maybe an power inverter too.
Hey! Finn I can see the excitement on your face, preparing for the building of your house. You are like a kid in the candy store. It's classic & pure happiness in your heart. I love the way how you treat Sherilyn. You are so loving with her. So as Sherilyn with you. You're really good for each other, it's a match made in heaven! Oh! by the way, do you know if there's a live nest on your property, is a sign of GOOD LUCK! It's not a supertitious belief, but a proven truth, told to me by my elders. Take care guys, & I will continue to watch the fruition of your project. Watching from B C., Canada.
Some of the best diving footage man. I can't wait til you get settled in the new crib so you can focus on capturing more of these beautiful sites than no one knows about.
WOW!! WOW!! I am absolutely blown away by the unbelievably diverse sea life in this video - just totally blown away and so relieved knowing there are places like this that still exist in our ever polluting world. Hopefully, we knucklehead humans can get our act together to ensure the continuity of these magnificent reefs and restore the conditions necessary to rejuvenate the areas we damaged already. I did a bunch of diving when I lived in Guam and that place doesn't even come close to comparing to what you showed us on this vid Finn. Hope you and Sherlyn can keep providing these incredible images for us. Big congrats on the new home construction - very exciting to watch your home being built, isn't it? All our best from Tennessee.
In Filipino traditional building construction we build the Kubó first for shade/shelter from rain, to protect materials and a place to rest. Then we start construction😊
Nice video but didn't see much Nipa Hut building! Thanks for sharing your house is going to be beautiful in that location. Bet you wish you had the pool right now with all the heat! Take care and God bless you all! David
Good luck with the heat, guys....new came in yesterday that it will be much, much hotter in May and it may come up to 55 degree celsius! Be sure to establish your water system before that coz it would be a pity for the plants if you run out of water for them - daily. Godbless, take care and cheers from Cebu!
If you use hollow blocks filled with concrete and later on sealed properly with a cement sand mixture it will be very strong and long lasting. We built our first house in 1999 in the Philippines and it has no cracks until today. In 2017 we built our retirement house in the same way. We used black river sand with cement as finishing layers. It's very hard and sustainable....
Thank you for commenting. Could you please tell us the projected dollar amount for the construction of your home compared to the actual cost? Time it took to build from start to finish. Thanks!!
Be careful when watering your plants when the sun is still beating down. The water droplets acts as a magnifying glass and can burn your leaves. It's best if you do it really early in the morning or evening when the sun goes down.
Wow so beautiful creatures under the sea thank you FinnSnow and Sherlyn to discover lots of creatures in the Philippines you guys are awesome god always bless you and keep you safe take care and good luck everything especially your beautiful house 👍👍👍👏👏💖🌾🍀🌾
Lovin' that little Bahay Kubo. Love modern stuff but there's just something about a humble little Bahay Kubo. Having your fruits and veggies are goin to be so cool. You have such a variety too and all organic!
My dad bought me a fantastic tyre inflator which is also a boost jump start device for cars, called a Halo Bolt. Charge it at home and keep it in your car without need to plug ig into your car for any power.
I followed every vlog you posted ! You and Sherlyn are good matches, now building up your future home , so lovely to see from your plan to construction begins ,you're sharing it to your audience ! Good job Finn and Sherlyn ! I like how you prepare your garden , plants and trees too ! Way to go ! For more vlogs 🤗
Finn, don't water the plant when it's still very hot, maybe start watering around 4pm. When the sun is very hot and you water the plant, the water feels really hot for the plant and it's not gonna help it. Later in the afternoon is better, cooler and help the roots recover overnight.
WOW!! Nice to watch your underwater water Clips as well as your house development. Shi suggest you also plant Tabon-tabon tree & Lemón for your kinilaw. CDO has seedlings for that....& Batwan tree for sinigang (Negross Occ. has seedlings for that).
Yes! In provinces it's allowed to steal fruits hanging in trees on the roads!😂 Yes Nipa hot is cooler especiallyduringsummer!👍🇵🇭🇧🇭! As always., your diving is great!👍👍
Tips when you grow vegetables ..cut all the flowers ..and let the plant grow/mature first reason..it will stop the process meaning you will receive only 2 or 3 harvest..if you let it grow /mature the plant ..he will give you more flowers later and receive more harvest.
hi guys.. that bird moved in your area same time as you did… your first true neighbor and that sounds like a very good luck and is telling you.. its a safe and family nurturing area… pls do something that the high wind etc will not throw the baby birds in that nest…
Looking good guys. Have you thought about having an accordion style door/window to maybe open towards your pool. That way you could open your wall. Just a thought. 👍👍👍
Thank you for the wonderful video showing your new house progress (on building it) and the underwater scene is awesome. You have always great video 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌟
Its real exciting to begin the construction on a home for your life. We started ours a few years ago and theres a few years to go. Its difficult on relationships, so it's good to know that and remember where the sink goes and what color something is just doesn't matter enough. We do not have a contractor hired to handle all the larger problems like out of stock problems and where to source things, so the heaviest load on ur build gets absorbed by that guy. Nice when you get your deep well done and solar fixed on the roof. Great years ahead
Finn/Sherlyn, please also use a watering pot instead of a garden hose in your present house to minimize water wastage. And i am just as excited to see your finished boat!
I love that Finn is always uploading a video of the progress of the construction of their house. Congratulations Finn & Sherlyn.

Hi Finn & Sherlyn. Just a thought, as you're on top of a hill, make sure your house is landslide proof.

That and the sleeping shak for the on-site werkers. In USA they have the power and water and Septic in place but no one ever lives on site.
The foundation of your house is very strong, the ground soil is compact that's why it's already strong
Nice video but didn't see much Nipa Hut building! Thanks for sharing your house is going to be beautiful in that location. Bet you wish you had the pool right now with all the heat! Take care and God bless you all! David

Thank you for the wonderful video showing your new house progress (on building it) and the underwater scene is awesome. You have always great video 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻🌟

The insect on the bush was a pray mantis. It does not feed on the plant but feeds on other harmful insects.

Have you treated the Bamboo? I hear Termites will get it pretty fast if you don’t at least soak it in salt brine.
