My computer sucks and lags in new content. I loved raiding when I played in cata. But I know how wow community is lol I started again at SL launch and haven’t done one single new dungeon or raid because I know I’ll get kicked 🤣🤣
Yup, I mainly experienced it back it Wotlk and cata when I pugged a lot. When I got older I respected them in hindsight. It takes a certain kinda person to step in and lead, even if it's in a video game.
This game would also be endlessly better if people decided to invest a couple of hours per patch to be informed instead of waiting for people like Max to basically hard carry them.

I was trying to get a purple healing parse with the group, which became impossible once the MASSIVE resto Druid (dorbawkgawk) and shaman joined (they 99 parsed!), but I stuck around for the kill because the story arc of the group was just so unique and hilarious in real time. I ended up getting a 99 healing parse for raz later on helping a random guild get their AOTC, completing my personal story arc with H raz. Healing parses are kinda fake but still fun to work for; you kinda have to carry a weaker group to orange/pink parse.

that was legitimately fantastic because it's one of the few times you were actually able to undercover raid lead. it wasn't spoiled by chat, or people in the raid, and you just managed to push them in the right direction and not completely take over.
This is one of those videos that you start watching like "eh I got nothing else to watch" but halfway through you are caught off guard by being absorbed into the saga and you are literally cheering by the end.
Honestly watching this was so much more useful than the typical bite size guides all over TH-cam. Calling out specific positions, defensives and just seeing the fight play out helped me finally raid lead my guild to our first kill last night. As soon as we cleanly made it into phase three, I remembered your calls and lead us to the kill, cheers man
I'm thinking, this video will age to perfection. This'll be one of those golden, wholesome classics that I'll look back on as a highlight of any of the previous expansions. It's own "world first" kill video in some sense. Something to get nostalgic over, many years in the future. You're making history, Max. This is a demonstration of how World of Warcraft brings people together, no matter it's age or the times it exists in. Sensational video, well done.

I was in this raid. I knew we had a couple CE tier raiders in the group just based off parses but I didn’t know it was liquid. Didn’t find out until a guildie sent me this vid in discord.

Same here, and no argument about too much added sugar in US food of course. Though it has me wondering if bread made elsewhere in the world always uses live yeast. If not, the way dried yeast gets activated is warm water & cane sugar to feed it. Industrially-produced bread is the one thing I'd assume has a little sugar in it no matter where it's made, unless it's sourdough.

Max’s ability to play that well and still make all those calls is uncanny. My favorite part of all these under cover raid leading videos is how ecstatic the other players are after getting the kill.
Once you have done a boss enough times, your brain filters out everything unimportant and you can really just focus on pumping. That’s why the first AOTC kill is always so intense and such a thrill, you really have to work for it and it’s hard work to stay focused.

Given what it can be like to game in 2023, with many negitive interactions and toxic gamers it's so easy to forget that happy and positive interactions and experiances like this still happen. It's not JUST knowing the fight perfectly, managing every persons character and spells to the micro if needed, while doing the fight yourself. It's also just keeping the group, calm and focused. Your raid leading is impeccable. Hearing the difference between the first guy and you is like night and day. He is not doing bad, but you just seem to have a lock on everything from raid cooldowns to boss cooldowns to movement of specific people.

13:45 Been where that DH is, except for me it was accidentally clicking my own demonic gateway and annihilating the group at the other end with a bomb on me. The 15 second delay before the DH spoke up is priceless.

Your raid leading is impeccable. Hearing the difference between the first guy and you is like night and day. He is not doing bad, but you just seem to have a lock on everything from raid cooldowns to boss cooldowns to movement of specific people.
