Diallos and Alexander both show that true bravery isn't the absence of fear, but not letting it tether them to inaction. Alexander discovering his fear of mortality versus Radahn and overcoming it was inspiring. And Diallos becoming a warrior when he finally had something to protect (instead of avenge) made me shed a tear.
He could not bloody his hands in the name of vengeance. Nor could he spill the blood of others for the sake of his own glory. However, in defense of innocent lives… he fought. He bled. He killed. His tale reached its end, written in the blood of poacher and guardian both. The story of Diallos Hoslow, Hero of Jarburg.
@@chrisschoenthaler5184| What I especially like about this is that Diallos's older brother chose to fight for glory and honour specifically to ensure his little bro would be free from such a burden. He could tell Diallos didn't have the capacity for such things.
Everyone here has already said it, but I just cannot stress enough how GORGEOUS the scenes are, and paired together with your most amazing story telling, VaatiVidya videos are almost illegally free for how much effort is put in it. Claps for you and the team who worked on this!
Man, when I fought Alexander and killed him in two shots before he even got his battlecry out... him saying "As I suspected... Victory was impossible...this vessel was found lacking" actually physically hurt me. I feel I wasn't as big on a lot of Elden Ring characters, but Iron Fist Alexander is right up there with Solaire. Bless his big ol' Jar belly.
Alexander is friend-shaped. As strage as it sounds, I would happily take a version of Elden Ring where he travels with you, just barreling along the landscape on his side. You can level him up by feeding him the corpses you kill, and you take the runes. Then, finally, he asks you fir one last favor at the end of the game: A test of strength. A bout for the ages! Boisterous laughter abound as he takes to the air to body-slam you! If you are defeated, that's an ending-- where he delivers you, alongside Torrent and Melina to a Catacombs dungeon and lays you, and others, in their roots, then settles himself, now empty, at your side, content with having defeated such a mighty Tarnished warrior. If you defeat him, he asks that you take the sharpest shard of him you can find, and one of his arms, and fashion yourself a trophy to take along with you, so he may fight at your side forever. The weapon you receive is the Warrior Jar's Lament, a scythe imbued with a decent bleed spell. EDIT: I kinda wanna expound on the idea of the Alexander Ending, and give him a power all his own: Grace of Kintsugi. In both endings, due to his unwavering loyalty to you, and his deep belief in your strength, he draws from your grace and makes it his own. The power of Gleaming Gold settles into his nicks and cracks, in every chip and scratch and crack, reinforcing it with golden light and making him, truly, an unbreakable jar. In the ending where he defeats you, he spends the rest of his days guarding your body, and himself, from looters and poachers, waiting for the day that your soul returns to the Erdtree. This could even go into NG+ and separate character territory, where he spawns in that specific Catacombs Dungeon to battle whoever wanders in, using the weapons and magic of the Tarnished. In the event that you beat him, and take a shard with you, the scythe could have it's own small, temporary summon attack as a weapon art that sends Alexander barreling forward at a target on his side.
One moment with Jar Bairn that hit me was if you rest at a site of grace after Diallos' death, you can find the little coz collecting Diallos' remains. If you try to talk to him, he simply repeats, "The tale of House Hoslow is told in blood" in a very numb, empty tone. It's pretty haunting and dark.
It was a dark image, but also kinda heartwarming to see Diallos was deemed worthy by the jar to take his insides, which is like the highest honor. He was really looked up to in the end, and something in him was strong enough to be carried on.
Nothing really dark if we don't consider in how we as humans value the bodies of people close to us. If we look at it from outside perspective, it's really heartwarming. Dialllos had a strong heart and that's enough for a jar to see someone as a strong warrior
In the jars culture for the souls universe that the highest honour to ever imagine . It isn’t disrespecting the body, jars attempts to carry on the physical and spiritual legacy of those they admire/respect most. Little jar thought that highly of the standard, that Diabolas example of protecting others being the soft hearted to allies but wrathful to the enemies is the correct pathway .
Sure it's Dark. But it shows how thankful Jar Bairn is. The Perfumers managed to kill almost everyone but Diallos ends up fighting them all to at least save Jar Bairn. Opposed to Alexander who would fight his friends to become champion Jar Bairn takes upon Diallos will to become a warrior who protects as his reason to fight. Both Warriors in their own way.
When Jar Bairn made the statement about needing smooth hands to be Potentate, I definitely had the thought of how it contrasts to the calloused hands of a seasoned warrior, but the main thought I had was of a potter - the artistry that goes into shaping clay into beautiful and strong pottery. Surely a village of jar people would value a skilled artisan with a gentle touch, to help them grow, to repair their cracks.
Really, I got emotional, I thought DS lore was fantastic, but elden ring's...just wow. then as you said, his story telling abilities are superb! Great work
Very creative for sure. So this is why we can't find the Poacher huh? Diallos kicked him off a cliff. Much better as the gruesome detail I imagined, that he just left after killing everybody but the small Jarchild.
@@ftrunks2k it’s funny to say it’s a problem with the Fromsoft games when it’s that exact style of storytelling that has inspired this entire subsection of TH-cam videos
The music helped puts so much emphasis on all that work that voice actor put in that line. Fucking beautiful. The absolute vicious and visceral that came with that delivery...
For a second I thought we were getting a sad backstory to the legend “LetMeSoloHer” However, this was unexpected and super cinematic. Love the story telling as always
The story of Diallos hits me hard as someone who at one point in my life was trying to emulate someone I looked up to, but I am not made to be that person. I am myself and I can be great in my own way, beautiful story
@@Calx9 no it doesn't. I don't know what you're referring to but all it does is paint him in a way that is more real than any of the other characters From Soft have ever made. It shows true character growth and him turning away from a path that everyone else wanted for him but which he knew wasn't right.
@calvingreenway6796 Diallos is convinced by Volcano Manor because he believes emotions will hold him back from becoming a champion. After working as a Recusnat and potentially hearing The Tarnished is tasked with kill his own brother he realises that bloodshed isn't the measure of a champion either. After going to Jarsburg and fighting the poacher off he finally realises fighting for a cause he truly believes in is what makes a real champion. It's not the spilling of others blood that makes a champion, it's willing to risk your own.
@@Calx9 On the surface, sure it paints Diallos in a bad light. But you have to understand his character to know why his dialogue so contradictory. Diallos is a man trying to be someone he is not, and he cannot accept that fact until he dies. He is all bark and no bite, he has a heart that is too soft and kind. His brother sees this, which is why he chooses to be the heir to House Hoslow in order to allow his brother to live free. Diallos, however, continues to wish to live up to his brother and his family name. This is why he is so oathsworn to his family motto, it's to convince himself that he can savage even though he knows that he can't. This is why he is so easily swayed at Volcano Manor. He finds a chance to find his glory, and he is convinced to fight for Tanith so that he can find the savagery he's been so desperately wanting to have. But he realizes that it isn't what he wants either and his heart wavers again. This causes him to leave and he stumbles on Jar Burg. Here is where he finally finds beings who will accept him for who he is, and he begins to accept that he can't be who he wishes to become, a savage champion like his brother Juno. It is through the loss of the jars where he finds the steel will to finally fight. Here, he was finally able to accept his flawed self, at the cost of his life.
Diallos was a fool who brought nothing but death to everyone around him, his companion and friend killed by the people he would later serve, those same people would then kill his older brother, incapable of avenging them he leaves to jar burg where he fails to defend the denizens from the poachers he may have very well lead there. “The tale of house hoslow is told in blood.”
@@thebigenchilada678 perhaps. and thats your interpretation of it, this is mine. These details are left vague on purpose so we come to our own conclusions.
@@thebigenchilada678 nah fam. Just because he wasn't some great, fearless warrior, he was a fool? He tried his best, ain't his fault that life kept throwing him to the rock bottom.
What really matters is that when time came to Diallos actually stood up and faced the challenge, to the end, I couldn't care less if he was a skilled warrior or not, he did put his own life in danger so the people of Jarburg might live, and who is to say that the jars that were broken, weren't broken before the village found out it was under attack?! Plus, I personally abide by the notion that, that just skill isn't what make a warrior danger, arguably, how far the warrior wants to go and how much he's willing to sacrifice is what really make it dangerous
Fun fact : the recusant Henricus seems to be a spy from Gideon that is trying to infiltrate the Volcano Manor. You can see that he wears the symbol of the All-Knowing on his chest and you can loot it in Rykard’s arena.
@@snekinnatenk6956 I don't know if the symbol is widely known. If it is, he might be presenting himself as a deserter from Gideon's retinue. Best way to hide is in plain sight after all.
@screen I may have teared me up a bit. That shyt fkn rekt me. The bravest worrior jar who not only stared down his fate but chased after it across the broken lands to meet his end, the coward who found his courage to do the one and only thing he every wanted in his final moments, and the small, lightly spoken worrior pot who dreamed to become a great and now humble worrior.
Jar Bairn: Do you know what a poacher is, coz? They hunt us, smash us and then take us away. Me: *Flashbacks of all the living jars I killed from Stormveil to Caria Manor* Also me: No.
“‘The tale of House Hoslow is told in blood’, that’s the kind of warrior I want to be one day, coz.” Damn, that’s the line that finally got my eyes to start moistening
The saddest thing about Diallos' questline is that either ending fits him perfectly. If you tell him he failed, he admits just how much of a fool he had been rather than lie and make up an excuse. Though it may be sad, he finally comes to terms with himself. If you tell him he won, he finds peace in himself, unknowingly meeting and surpassing the expectations of those who cared about him. In turn, his will lives on through Jar Bairn. While the second ending is preferable and true, both endings actually fit Diallos' character in a certain aspect.
@@happyman1234 I do as well since it's best, to be honest with him. But it's even sadder because both things you tell him are technically true. He failed to protect the jars as most of them are shattered, but at the same time, he was able to protect Jar Bairn. While he didn't protect everybody, he was able to save one.
@@PassTheButter I was thinking the same thing… literally just stitching scenes together. He barely even talks himself lol, yet everyone praising his story tailing and the visuals, when it’s all in game graphics 😂
The way he screams that seems perfect for this moment in his story, where he's been a coward and a fool his whole life but now he finally has a chance to fight for something worthwhile and he's going to grab for it with both hands.
of all the people i fought in elden ring, beating juno made me feel the worst :( i read the armor descriptions and just felt so sad. diallos' questline definitely hit the hardest

I have never seen such passion and grace manifested for a video game ever before. Please never stop making these videos and storytelling in this way. This is something that should not be lost
I love Alexander as a character so much that I know when I fight him and kill him it's like fighting an old weathered Viking that just wants to be sent to Valhalla. Just wants a warriors death from the strongest warrior around.
@@kiro253 he wants to die fighting. He refuses to die alone, and not doing what he lived for; fighting, at the highest peak, where he could see the Lands Between for one last time.
I cried so hard at the end of his quest. At the end of his dialogue, I was expecting him to (mercifully) disappear in a sparkling cloud of dust like everyone else. When he instead exploded in a shower of gore, it shocked me so hard I had to take a break for a bit.
I didn't even noticed, that first recusent, he is wearing Gideons gowns. He was probably a spy sent by Gideon, both as an eye into the recusents happenings, and possibly an early attempt to remove you as a potential elden lord.
Relatedly inside of Rykards boss room there's an "Eye Surcoat" chest piece which signifies that a lackey of gideon had been in the room and had possibly been eaten
I don't wanna ruin things, but I think Dialos will make Jarbairn weaker ^^" What's fun to think about, though, is that Alexander lives on in Jarbairn, just like how part of us will live on in our offspring, allowing for human flourishing ever more
@@captainzork6109 Dialos found his courage when faced with what was most important to him, and gave his life protecting those he loved. that’s gotta impart something positive, even if his combat abilities were mid. alexander’s warior spirit can balance it out lol
I keep the small piece of Alexander you get from his duel on me at all times. He may have been a mere jar, but he was a true friend, so I uphold a small promise I made to him to take his remains to every battle.
To be clear: living Jars like Alexander and Jar Bairn are NOT the same as the jars used by the Hornsent. Living Jars seem to be modeled after Shaman Jars, but their purpose is to contain deceased bodies, most likely for burial at Minor Erd Trees. I've my own theories about these Golden Order jars versus Shadow Land jars, but the point is that their resemblance is superficial. They are not the same thing. There isn't a shaman inside Alexander.
It's even possible that Marika willingly made the Golden Order's jars the exact opposite of the Hornsent's. Instead of containing live victims, they house corpses. Instead of being held within prisons, they are granted sentience independant of their innards, and with it relative freedom. Instead of their most cruel punishment, inflicted on criminals and those of the Shaman whose only fault was existing, it is an honour, bestowed upon champions in preparation for the holiest funerary rites, feeding the very symbol of their civilisation, and later its children.
Damn you coulda atleast been like Saitama with Boros in One Punch Man, and hold back to let him pretend he's having the battle of his lifetime and it was hard fought one. Atleast jarbro believed it was truly a good battle, where Boros realized right before he died he never stood a chance 😭
I already love just about everything you do, but this video was a HUGE step up in quality in my opinion. And that is a step up from already great videos. The cinematics, the editing, the cuts are phenomenal.
yah this reminded me of when he partnered with TheParryGod for the prepare to cry remastered series the cinematic quality was awesome but I hadn't really seen it on that level until now.
I did some parts of this quest here and there and didn’t understand the story..I didn’t expect this video to almost bring me to tears man. This is why I love from soft games, their story telling is amazing
The main difference is that the warrior-jars amass the remains of dead warriors; Rykard kills people and eats them. Warrior-jars also seek challenges to grow stronger and more skilled. Rykard sits in his lair and eats unsuspecting people for ages until he becomes strong enough to kill everyone else one day.
Do you know what the saddest part about Diallos's story is for me? It's his fault. Vaati painted this narrative as though a poacher followed you, the player to Jarburg. But you can come and go to and from Jarburg with impunity. Jarburg is safe and healthily populated even after you beat the Elden Beast if you just never talk to Diallos. The poacher followed HIM. He died in the defense of innocents whom he himself endangered. And, what's worse, whom he failed to protect. Far more jars are broken by his defense of them than would have been if he had simply never darkened their doorstep. Diallos Hoslow. A younger brother who breaks the older's heart by emulating him. A master who served the House of those who murdered his servant. A defender who brought death onto his charges. His tale is told in blood - just not the blood of his enemies.
Diallos' story is definetly one of my favourites and the one that legitimetly made me cry in my playthrough. When i heard how the little pot had a newfound respect for how Diallos fought even if scared... i just couldn't take it.
The camera angles, the movement, the visuals.... God damn this is above and beyond, hands down your best work yet... Nothing but improvements. Well done Vaati and everyone who helped out. Absolutely stunning work
This isolated story could easily have been made into it's own "Arcane-like" animation and absolutely slap. In my playthrough, I didn't progress Diallos' questline. It's unfortunate that many people will miss this bit of the story, so thanks for making this.
Really? Diallos is like the easiest quest in the entire game IMO, you don't have to do anything really, I suppose most players will find jarburg either really early or way later so I guess if you find it too early than you might not think to come back. But I thought it being the most densely packed area for crafting flowers and a bunch of the games very few cracked pots, I figure pretty much everyone will be coming back here a few times. I think this was the only quest I completed completely naturally as in needed no direction through guides
@@THE_MOONMAN quest line was not even in the game with no patches so if they played on release like me it was easy to miss this because it couldn’t be done
@@THE_MOONMAN Goes to show that everyone's playthrough is different! Events/questlines that seemingly flow naturally in one person's playthrough may be completely missed by others who take a slightly different path than you. During my first playthrough, for whatever reason I mostly breezed over Academy Gate Town and so completely missed him by the corpse of Lanya, so his questline was lost for me since I continued through Liurnia and on to Volcano Manor without ever talking to him post-Roundtable Hold (he disappears from Academy Gate Town after you complete Volcano Manor).
I didn't do a single thing with Diallos, but, somehow, I did do the Jarburg stuff to completion. So, idrk how important it is to even do his questline...
it weirdly makes me want to cry seeing creators who share the same passion and love for something working together to make something as beautiful as this. i love it.

It's interesting how you had to explain much less in this video compared to the Dark Souls ones. The stories in Elden Ring are more complete, and don't require you to add much to them, but this cinematic style really added to the experience.
He definitely made this whole thing into more of a tear-jerker than it already was...of course the fact that there's a "kid jar" just leaves me questioning the logistics of how those jars reproduce. :/
I enjoy the smaller details you include. When my boy Alex was asking for help and your tarnished started clapping I lost it. Keep up the good work, Sir.
Man, Diallos' story is something I legitimately get teary-eyed about every time I hear it or see fanart. I love this video and how absolutely beautiful the accompanying visuals are! Also, Diallos kicking the Perfumer down the cliff really solves the biggest plot hole of a lack of poacher corpses in Jarburg after the attack. That's really smart.

I’ve always felt that Alexander’s want and desire to “consume” you and have you join him as one is due to his “collecting” of bodies at redhan’s battlefield and those bodies being contaminated by scarlet rot, sending him a tad over the edge bit by bit
I don't really agree, to the Jars it seems to be the greatest honor to be filled by the greatest warriors, to me, Alexander telling us he wants our body as his filling is essentially the biggest compliment the Jar can give.
I see Alexander as do I see solaire. There both rather nice and hold the player to a high regard both are after power and strength but both go mad when they cannot accomplish it.

I was really happy when I started my first run, Blaidd and Alexander were like meeting Solaire again, brothers who’d fight with you. After Rannis’ quest I was sad for killing blaidd, but seeing Alexander in the volcano manor area I held hope “the boys were back!”. I navigated castle sol and consecrated fields and there was my boy Alexander to help me slay the fire giant! Transported to farum, getting jumped by dragons and bullshit I found my friend again. I love Alexander, but I'll say I really don't like Solaire at all. I honestly think he's a complete fool blinded by the sun, who has a kind heart. Yes he acts valiant but in the end he was just a warrior craving personal power, he wanted his own sun he wanted to be like Gwyn. Who might I add was the bane of all humanity. The entire concept of the sun covenant just blows my mind that it's become so popular with people. On the surface it seems beneficial and good natured. In reality it is a covenant in service to a god who has and forevermore will be the ruin of humanity, Reject the sun. Embrace the dark for it is what we humans are made of. The dark soul.
Literally. Which is why I loved the hints. Let Me Solo Her story is about struggling against something and then setting it personal to help others. Just like Diallos did
Can you imagine if reaching Jarburg in a pacifist run actually allows you to be Potentate? I know Fromsoft games don't really have in-depth story choices, but imagine being able to fight the Jar Poacher with Diallos because you were Potentate. After slaining your hands with the poacher, you hand over the title to Diallos who will continue to take care of the jars. Wishful thinking, but I just want a happy ending okay?!
Why would you have to a pacifist? I took the whole "smooth hands" thing to mean that Diallos was a noble who hadn't done any real work so he had "smooth hands".
So ummmm are you seriously going to tell me after ALL the hours I have put into Elden Ring, I missed the town of Jars!?!?!? WTFF!!! I have to say though this was absolutely amazing. Creativity in a whole new level. I mean you literally made a short film out of a video game. Fantastic and amazing!

*Pot* belly?
@@barneystinson4289 i find him more of an onion bro
Alexander is in heaven with Solaire and the Onion Friends
Alexander is friend-shaped. As strage as it sounds, I would happily take a version of Elden Ring where he travels with you, just barreling along the landscape on his side. You can level him up by feeding him the corpses you kill, and you take the runes. Then, finally, he asks you fir one last favor at the end of the game:
A test of strength.
“Lend me strength, O warriors within! Let us become one champion together!”
I’m definitely not crying.
Bro I read it as the line was coming up in the video , definitely not crying at all
Me neither, guys! Me neither!!
Join the warrior jar as family, together we will fill up with the very gods!
@@argonianguy6226
Yup. To the little guy Diallos was a hero through and through. Well worth taking in to carry on his legacy.
That's really interesting 🧐
Brilliant comment.
This comment is already underrated. Also never thought someone could be a potter. So many jokes.

The story of Diallos hits me hard as someone who at one point in my life was trying to emulate someone I looked up to, but I am not made to be that person. I am myself and I can be great in my own way, beautiful story
This video actually misses quite a bit of key dialogue with the player while he's still at the mansion. It really paints in him a not so good way...
"He died doing what he wanted, right? I bet he was happy."
Alexander died a warrior's death, and Diallos proves his worth.
Diallos was a fool who brought nothing but death to everyone around him, his companion and friend killed by the people he would later serve, those same people would then kill his older brother, incapable of avenging them he leaves to jar burg where he fails to defend the denizens from the poachers he may have very well lead there.

To be clear: living Jars like Alexander and Jar Bairn are NOT the same as the jars used by the Hornsent.
Living Jars seem to be modeled after Shaman Jars, but their purpose is to contain deceased bodies, most likely for burial at Minor Erd Trees.

Instead of their most cruel punishment, inflicted on criminals and those of the Shaman whose only fault was existing, it is an honour, bestowed upon champions in preparation for the holiest funerary rites, feeding the very symbol of their civilisation, and later its children.

It's interesting how you had to explain much less in this video compared to the Dark Souls ones. The stories in Elden Ring are more complete, and don't require you to add much to them, but this cinematic style really added to the experience.
It is actually really nice, speculations and theories are fun. When you actaully have the feeling you will get a complete story in the end
21:44 chills, great voice actors all of them. The kid jar really hit it emotionally
He definitely made this whole thing into more of a tear-jerker than it already was...of course the fact that there's a "kid jar" just leaves me questioning the logistics of how those jars reproduce. :/
@@cartooncritique6625 Nah it's simple, that jar's simply filled with the remains of dead children primarily so he took on a childlike personality.
@@shanagbaimuru3926 but then why are the kid jars smaller? I think they just start out as kids and grow
@@bobobsen Kids tend to have smaller remains than adults.
@@shanagbaimuru3926 yikes lol
I enjoy the smaller details you include. When my boy Alex was asking for help and your tarnished started clapping I lost it. Keep up the good work, Sir.
19:37 having not finished Diallos' story line this fight had me at the edge of my seat. well done!
He fought to protect in the end, and he did his family proud, to that end.
If you don’t tell Diallos he protected the jars well are you even human?
Me too!! I was fully worried he could have won OR lost that fight
@@yurinoworry sadly it appears that he let several jars dies though.
@@ioncewasmikey that doesnt matter........................standing up to fight does
My favorite moment was 13:46 It was pure art. Please have more of that in the future. Much love
Same!!! That transition was amazing
Loved that one too
So true
I was blown away by this cinematic, that transition was brilliant
beautiful
Man, Diallos' story is something I legitimately get teary-eyed about every time I hear it or see fanart. I love this video and how absolutely beautiful the accompanying visuals are!
Also, Diallos kicking the Perfumer down the cliff really solves the biggest plot hole of a lack of poacher corpses in Jarburg after the attack. That's really smart.
"The tale of House Hoslow is told in blood...IN BLOOD!!!"
I’m madly in love with this new evolution of VaatiVidya storytelling. Usually I come for the exposition lore dump on FromSoft games but I didn’t expect to actually feel emotion and awe for the quality music and storytelling. If you see this message Vaati, take as much time you need, we’re all proud of your team’s efforts
I like how you brought back the "Coward is capable of the Highest Heroism"
5:40 16:23 19:40 21:28 the whole video is a masterpiece but just wanted to highlight that these moments in particular gave me goosebumps. the shots matched with the music/dialogue were brilliantly done
Vaati: Promise you won't cry?
Me: I promise.
Vaati: 25:27
Me, tearing up: "I wont..."
Thank you and your team for putting these narratives together.
This questline was one of the few that made me teary eyed… (The other being Hewg’s story)
I just did Hewg's quest yesterday! my heart is broken 😭
@@ashwinc3789 Quest ?
@@bale9320 It’s more of a novel type of quest where you don’t have to directly do anything with or for him to progress it but simply going through the game grants new progress and dialogue. And wow do things get revealed and irreversible damage take place.
Let's get smithing.

I’ve always felt that Alexander’s want and desire to “consume” you and have you join him as one is due to his “collecting” of bodies at redhan’s battlefield and those bodies being contaminated by scarlet rot, sending him a tad over the edge bit by bit
I like that idea
I don't really agree, to the Jars it seems to be the greatest honor to be filled by the greatest warriors, to me, Alexander telling us he wants our body as his filling is essentially the biggest compliment the Jar can give.
I see Alexander as do I see solaire. There both rather nice and hold the player to a high regard both are after power and strength but both go mad when they cannot accomplish it.
@@mrbob5979 a very good parallel there
@@axllow3914 I can definitely understand where you are coming from, however the only time Alexander actually witnesses our combat prowess is when we fight at the Redhan Festival. So my question to you would be.
what’s to stop him from requesting a duel and wanting to “fill himself” with us at each encounter after? ( btw not just trying to argue the toss I genuinely enjoy theory crafting and debating )
The sadness of Alexander hit me like a train. Also it's funny cause when fighting radahn Alexander is the last summon standing yet he is a pot
This is likely one of your best videos yet tbh, amazing work by both of you. Outstanding storytelling and cinematography!
i was not prepared... this got me several times. Even after playing these quests through countless times, they only really hit home when you lend your voice to them. Thanks Vaati and Mispap
Yet it was a fight to the death. I just wish we’d have a bro who’d find his own sun again.
Every storyline has to be depressing and i will not forgive Fromsoft for killing off out boys again!
Solaire's only ending in the actual game is one of despair and death, too. The Solaire linking the fire thing is an official headcanon.
@@Fronzel41 Not really. At the bare minimum he gets to the kiln due to his summon sign.
Also pretty sure it was Miyazaki who stated that Solaire linking ending in an interview, not the fanbase.
@@theworstcatholic7247 He gets to the kiln if the player does an esoteric series of actions to save him and there's very little reaction to it from the game. The interview is what I meant by "official headcanon" as there's nothing in the games themselves and is just something he said.
13:45 that transition was so smooth and beautiful.. You guys are legit and good story teller/film maker.
Alexander and Diallos live on in Let Me Solo Her XD

I am glad they didn't do that, after all i don't want to steal any character's reason to live like dark souls 1
That's a lovely idea
@@yuse310 I did :(
Why would you have to a pacifist? I took the whole "smooth hands" thing to mean that Diallos was a noble who hadn't done any real work so he had "smooth hands".
@@TheSeeker225 You could look at it that way - but if so it wouldn't be hard to view fighting as real work.
The town of Ja Bairn is hidden for a reason :P
It was added in a patch after launch, so if you played early, it wouldn't have even been there
it's around the converted tower if you wanted to know, there will be the "steps" for your horse to jump on and go down those "steps" and you'll find the town.
are you poacher?
@@PvtSn1pe I thought it was there but empty and Jar Bairn was added later.
13:45 I must appreciate how cinematic these VaatiVidya Lore videos have become. They've grown so much during Elden Ring's time alone. It's not the only part in the video but it really stands out, even better it's all custom and no cutscenes have been used. Hopefully the team behind the videos will work togeter far into the future too!
i never have taken the time or really ever felt the need to leave a comment before but, seeing the creativity, time and heart you and your mate have put into making such a well put together video or one could call it a short film. well i had to stop for a moment and give you my thanks your work actually pulled me out of a depression that i have been stuck in and let my mind focus on something other than all the problems ive been facing even though it was brief it was a welcome feeling that i havent felt in sometime so again thank you and i look forward to seeing your future work if i had the cash to spare id gladly give it in my support but as of now i can only give my gratitude
