I visited the Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok for Leicester City v Tottenham... sort of!
What do Thai football fans think of the English Premier League and why do so many support Leicester and Spurs???

My favourite country! 🇹🇭 Funnily enough I managed to watch a full 90 mins in Chon Buri for much worse rain. I guess the clubs had a big say in cancelling though. Keep it going Sam!
Yeah don’t think Ange wanted Kane and Son slipping around on that surface! Hope I can get out there for a league game this season, loved your vid when it came out 🇹🇭🎥
Smiv when are you gonna upload again???
@@charanb5026 I uploaded yesterday my friend
Would love to see you both do a video together! Maybe at an non league game this coming season?
I meant on the road series mate
As a thai I’m so sorry about this bad experience our stadium is really poor and old and mostly this stadium using for concerts events for past 5 years , Thailand national football team didn’t use this stadium for 5 years , we hope we will get new stadium for football only 😢🙏🏻🇹🇭
£37 for a ticket? bloody hell. When I went to the stadium in 2012 to watch the Thai FA Cup final I think the tickets were around 150 TB
The second big match I went to was Thailand vs Real Madrid in 2003 ar Rajamangala. This was in 2003, and our inexpensive seats were still 1,500 baht (£35). Compare that to Port FC, where a ticket costs just 100 baht (£2.5) to see a Thai League 1 match.
I follow your channel for year. I glad to see you on southeast asia last 2-3 episode , and I guess you surely come to see Leicester vs Tottenham.
And when I heard that football match was cancelled
I waiting to watch this match episode
Great to see you here in Bangkok. I'm a big fan. I am from Dublin but I have been living in Bangkok for over 10 years. They love the Premiership.
Sexpat
Thank you for your visit to Bangkok Thailand and supporting as
Great video as always. Typical Thai rainy season downpour. I was surprised to see any Tottenham fans in Thailand. I've been lucky enough to never met one here. Ayutthaya United are my Thai team. Maybe you'll come and see them one day.
Great series... loved learning about what's going on in football around the world.
My man coming out with the David Ginola love! What a player
Spurs fan from Ramsgate but been living in Thailand for many years. Support my local team here (Chainat Hornbills). Didn't go down to BKK for the game. Put off by the weather and those crazy ticket prices. Nice video. Thanks for sharing..
Of course you're living in Thailand 😂
Another sexpat
YES come back! it would be best if you can catch the Asian Champions League games live and do contact the football teams/stadium managers to get the inside view of the stadiums during off-match days im sure they will be happy to help!
Another country where the PL/Teams are fleecing the fans.
Total PR disaster charging fans for these pre-season EPL tours when Asia is in the midst of Monsoon season in mid-July. Last year they got lucky with the Liverpool vs. Man Utd clash in Bangkok passing without weather issues, this year....not so much.
You should come down here to Colombia!! We do have huge football teams, fans and experiences.
Come watch a game at the Thunder Dome stadium in Muangthong. That’s Muangthong United’s stadium if it wasn’t obvious already 🤪
Greeting from a Thai living in England. Great video, shame the match didn’t go ahead in the end. Traffic to and from Rajamangala must be a nightmare as well 😂
Hey Sam,you should come back to a game at pittodrie ,a berdeen have been playing well lately, you should come to Aberdeen v Celtic on August 13th.
Only if you enjoy your eyes bleeding is that a game to go & watch.
Can you get me a ticket? 😉🤣
@@alanfox691 your defo a rangers fan
@@JoP444 I do have a season ticket🤔
@vblurxyy4114 I actually always have backed Aberdeen to be serious challengers at the top, keeping the huns in their place 👊🤭 I genuinely think Barry Robson will do a great job 👍🏻
Have you visited the famous floating football pitch in Koh Panyee? The story behind it is really beautiful and inspiring!
I saw that in the "Travels With My Father" show on Netflix, quite surreal !!
Rainy season in Asia this time of the year , pot luck if you get wet or not , keep up the good work
Just downloaded fotmob, yes, looks quite good. I live in Spain so it'll help me keep up with what's happening with the Mighty Potters.
Great video sam love the Asia football content 👍
Going to Thailand soon and seeing Buriram play. Great video thanks. ⚽️
Impressive stadium, parking for about 6,500 cars, lots of food and drinks outlets big club superstore. Best tickets cost about ฿150.
Go to South America - I'd love to see your videos about their teams
another banger 🎉🎉
🙌
Like always first like then watching
Cheers mate!
used to be an affordable game for the masses - good luck!
Welcome to Asia, this kind of rain is common. Also the Perm are absolutely ripping off people with the ticket prices. Awful pricing. When Taiwan play their World Cup qualifier soon, come to the match with me, and see the the stadium in Kaohsiung it is mega.
Been to Thailand a few times as I've got an English mate who lives there. I've never seen a game there. Got a couple of Thai shirts. Burinam Utd and Nakhon Patson shirts.
Awesome my brother 💙⚽
Hello mate how are you doing i/m from newcastle and I/ve never been too Thailand before mate
I saw you at Rajamagala stadium and I’m sorry about that’s situation
I'm Thai and I'm a Tottenham fan. I'm sorry for the football field. It was the only opportunity to watch my favorite team.
Man, hope there's refund for the cancellation. Would suck if there isn't.
As a Newcastle fan I'm still not over us selling Ginola and Les Ferdinand to Tottenham. Oh the pain.
Hamburger SV = Home of Son Heung-Min ( so proud )
Thailand, across the border from Vietnam...bound to be hot, humid and wet!
Was Gunna finish my lunch break but now this videos popped up….. 👀
Don't get in trouble! 🤣
Appreciate you risking your job for my content! Cheers!!!
Beautiful country , shame they have such an oppressive government rn
Tbf all governments are oppressive just some more than others.
Sadly most countries do, but yeah utter scum
I got to the ground at 4.15 and had one of the 1500 baht tickets so would’ve been in the same section as you. I knew it was uncovered, the rain was bouncing down. I got out of the taxi, walked 100 yards and crossed the road and got the same taxi back to Sukhumvit hoping I’d get to watch some cricket 🤣🤣🤣
As for the price, at Hua Hin it’s 50 and 100 baht to watch a game
Went to Bangkok in 2016 with my LCFC shirt. So many came up to me to talk LCFC.
Amazing video
Thanks!
It's the tropics I guess,Which despite warm weather, means rain as well.take it easy guys.
0:03 the electric wire though, just beside his head 😅😅😅😅😅😅😅
Hai I am you new fan from Malaysia
Scheduling a game for the height of the monsoon season is not the brightest idea! I knew 4 / 5 days before the game that there was a very, very high risk that the game would be postponed. In addition, having a 5pm KO is another really stupid idea! Anyone who knows anything about BKK in the monsoon season will tell you that late afternoon / early evening is the greatest risk of a torrential downpour - YOU CAN EVEN GOOGLE THIS!!! So whoever the clown was that scheduled a 5pm KO should be SACKED!!!! Fortunately, I only had a couple of hours drive to the match. I feel very sorry for people that had travelled a lot further and the Thai families with their kids who missed a chance to see their heroes. They should have scheduled a 1 pm KO. The heat and humidity would have been pretty much the same as at 5pm. People will say but it might have rained at 1pm and this is true however, the chances are a lot, lot, lot less. Complete shambles by both clubs!!! COYS
Hi Sam , Regarding the rain, as far as I know this is the monsoon season in Asia so the rain shouldn't come as a surprise. I've always enjoyed your postings but I find that I'm not enjoying this session as much. All the fans and everything else seems to be so "westernised". Unless I've missed it you haven't even had a choice of some loocal street food at or near the stadiums. Anyway thanks for posting and I look forward to another entertaining year with your channel
organising a pre season friendly during monsoon season ROFL
I am going to Thailand on holiday in about 2 days, any tips for visiting the country. And does any Thai person or person living in thailand know a place in Bangkok where you can buy a shirt of Mueanta?
ari football concept store in bangkok, Siam Square Soi 6, Pathum Wan, Bangkok 10330, Thailand. get your buriram united shirt and ask staff to print name and number of mueanta!
That burger looked the Beas knees 😋🍔🍺☘️
How come you come to Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩, you can see the incredible match atmosphere, you can watch Persija, Persib, PSS, PSIS and others
Feel sorry for the Thai fans
Do you think the price was expensive for Thailand?
Unbelievable, why why teams need to travel miles of miles around the globe to just play friendlies
footy adventure and short time adventures
About 20years ago, went to see NUFC, same Stadium and it F,In Rained but the game went on Sir Bob was the Manager, getting home was a nightmare, are teams, coaches etc getting to soft now, I'm Black/White
where do you want to go next in southeast asia?
Wow that price is crazy. I imagine that would be the most expensive outlay you had in Bangkok apart from hotel costs. Warm rain is good rain😂
Did the fans get a refund>?
Should go to Montrose vs Arbroath
ตาหน่ายคัก🇹🇭🇹🇭
BuriRam utd Super stadium good atmosphere VIP seats 1200 bath food and drink lncluded Love it !
are you scottish mate i/m just wondering
Let's hope there's a happy ending.
How are you doing mate
Screwing the fans for a friendly, football really is all about greed

Hello you alright mate

Hello, remember me? I said hello to you. I'm wearing a spur shirt
I wonder how many shirts are sold globally because of Son
Wow... I'm in top 500 views.... hahaha must be first time for me
im doing a youtube channel about Bangkok+Thailand. If you free, lets meet up and do vdo together!! WILL BE WORTH IT!!
Hi mate
Leicester aren't premier league anymore :) I love Thailand!!
Come to indonesia bro
Worse stadium in SEA even outside the stadium, the field looks bad.
Don't often feel sorry for someone who has such wonderful "footy adventures" all around the world and can jet off to Thailand to watch a match, but god what awful luck to go all that way, pay so much money for a ticket and have the match called off !! I bloody well hope you got a refund of some sort ....
When it rains it rains in Thailand lol
I would have got the game on , I am the only person to have never had a game called off 😉
Never knew megamind supported sevco 😂😂
And most Celtic fan look like
The Incredible Hulks ilatitent son lol.
Decent mate
Talk so much about South East Asia football culture without visiting Indonesia seem not legit at all 😊
It's sad to see the mental affliction that is being Sp*rs fan has spread to Thailand
You’ve seen a 0-0 and a game cancelled on your travels, hopefully that’s your bad luck gone for the year!
Haha hopefully!
You go Thailand and watch a friendly between two English teams why
poor weather 🤣🤣🤣
You've not seen Thailand
Two Premier League teams? You do know that Leicester are now a Championship team? Maybe not? 🤔
Ha ha hilarious
Cambodia see 🙃
Come to Korea next time and give K-league the try!
Come on Pohang Steelers
Pride of South Korea a proper football club.
Marrying football with Thailand and its a divorce 😊. Jokes apart did everyone get their money back?
tsunami at rajamangala stadium😂😂😂😂
I hope you at least got a refund.
The big 6 😂😂😂😂😂all that is wrong with football
Ticket prices are probably so expensive to cover the travelling costs of the 2 teams
First
THANK YOU!!!
I also recommend to do a tour of psg’s stadium
