Cayla is hands down one of my absolute favorites to wear the maroon and orange! She’s so humble, an amazing leader, top notch student, and seems to take everything in stride. I’ve interacted with her a couple of times and she’s always friendly and willing to share an autograph and selfie. She seems to prefer being out of the spotlight, but is so deserving of all the positive praise that she gets. Cayla is such a great representative of all things Virginia Tech, both on the court and off. I wish her the absolute best on whatever her future holds! I can’t wait to see her back in Cassell for games next season! She’ll make an incredible coach someday and it would be an amazing full circle moment to have her leading Hokies WBB in some capacity in years to come. She will be greatly missed!
