    In Michigan we're not allowed to use unions on green airline which is for your primary brake system. We can only use them on black which is for the accessories system.
    Split loom is good where they could rub or just zip tie them tight where the lines touch.

    What is the green line typically used for? 2007 Kenworth t-800 quard dump truck road tractor conversion. I had mine break and mechanic tried to tell me it was the air compressor, I found it was pinched between the front axel and burst. Either way I cut and kinked both ends of the line and the whole truck operates fine.

    Don't like that getting dirty bit 😊 heard those compression fittings will last longer? Those quick connects you can reuse sometimes if the splines inside of them are not broke or deformed. They do get gunked up with dirt, grease & debris. You have to cleaned them out and make sure they work.

    Video is very helpful, i gave it a like.
    1 dumb question tho.. How do i get the hose out to fix the leak.. How do i press the plastic fitting in (the circular type) .. Do i need a special tool or do i kind of use big needle noses as best i cud ?
    I got leaks at those fittings comin off the back of the compressor tank.. got to let to truck run a few minutes to build up secondary air.. pretty annoying.

    Good morning, new Subscriber 👋 , and thank you in advance, a big hello from the sunshine State And I gotta tell you this is baby stuff but very important baby stuff, as for myself I gotta put my superman suit on and do what you did creep up under there and get a little dirty and have a little patience and find the air leaks, this one here loses all the Damn air 10 minutes, I am interested to find out how much you paid for for all the feedings like the previous person stated those are a little pricey, but we do what we gotta do to survive, thank you once again for the educational video this is another one that will be going to my private library for educational purposes, this is Robbie👌👍✌️

    • @Roger_Rabbit_Adventures
      @Roger_Rabbit_Adventures ปีที่แล้ว +1

      use soapy water to find air leaks with the air full (PSI) try to listen of course, then spray with soapy water. Air bubbles tell where the leak is. Check the fittings around your airbags 1st on the rear suspension, they get the most motion from bouncing down the highway.

    Life and Pryce,
    Thanks man. Great video. I will certainly check mine too. I have the same truck as yours- 2000 Freightliner Century Class.
    I have a question.
    This is how I stumbled on your video by the way.
    My issue is this:
    My low air buzzer came on today.............the buzzer and the low air light and it won't go off. My air (PSI) is okay but the thing won't go off.
    This is what I BELIEVE HAPPENED:
    My radio fell through the casing where it is mounted. So, I was trying to pull it back but couldn't because of the tiny space. So, what I did, I put my hand under the radio towards the back (where all the radio wires are) and tried to push the radio to get back to its original position.
    In so doing, my low air buzzer came on but at first , I didn't realise what it I was. I thought it was the radio making the noise. I only realised when I saw the buzzer light when I happened to look at the dashboard.
    I believe that I touched something next to the wires at the back of my radio that triggered the low air buzzer.
    I've tried to meddle with the wires next to my radio but the buzzer won't go off.
    I've tried to restart my truck but nothing is happening.
    I don't know what I touched but whatever it was, it caused all this problem.
    Again, my PSI (for my brakes is over 100). It is just the buzzer that is off.
    Do you (or anyone else reading this) have an idea as to what it could be?
    I apologise that I wrote too much but that is the only way I could explain it.
    Thanks.

    Couldn't you just use the old brass fittings? Is their a tool to remove the air lines from the brass fittings?

    • @lifeandpryce2470
      @lifeandpryce2470  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      it is possible but when i consider the cost of another tool possibly a specialty tool it is just easier and cheaper to buy new fittings. most of the time i have new fittings in my parts box in the truck but not this time. also with those fittings haveing over 2 million miles and wear and tear on them i just opt for new ones. thank you for the veiw and comment good question.

    • @Roger_Rabbit_Adventures
      @Roger_Rabbit_Adventures ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can reuse the fittings if the splines inside of them are not broken or deformed. The quick connect fitting can be disconnected by pushing down on the outer ring, once pushed down, pull the air line out (the opposite of the way he installed them)
