Hi Steve thanks for showing the subject of editing. Just started my You Tube channel as a curiosity. Started my videos from scratch . Using just my iPhone to take videos as well as using iMovie only for editing. Don’t used an editing apps as they are expensive. But seeing this video has given me an idea.
Most times I can't do anything..but am learning...keyframe I like ...I will try that out before I try to do anything else as technical things are very difficult for me... good stuff Steve 😂

Thanks🙏 Shooting in normal speed (4K 60fps) and slowing it down by 50% will yield sharper footage as the resolution is higher than shooting in slow motion (HD 1080p)…at least in this case. Hope this helps 👍

Hi Steve, I always enjoy your videos, always so professional. Its always quality over quantity with your channel. Wish I'd seen your Epidemic Code a couple months ago, I just had to pay over £80 again for another years subscription. Thanks again for another great video. Not sure if you ever done a video on video settings, I always find it confusing what to use and what to export at. For example I film content in 4K 60fps, but my drone records in 4K 30fps. If I'm using both 60 and 30 in the same video, what should I export at 60 or 30?
60fps is good if you think you might want to slow down the footage in post production. 30fps is ok for most footage. FPS stands for frames per second, it realistically depends on what you intend to do with the footage. Cinema is generally shot at 24 frames but if you are panning at 24fps you need to be slow or the footage will appear jerky.

60. FPS is fine, theoretically that is the highest quality of the options mentioned. I upload all my videos in 4K 60 FPS. Some people prefer the look of 30 or 24 FPS as to some people 60 FPS seems overly smooth.
You need to make sure that your TH-cam video upload setting is set to maximum quality, Otherwise it defaults to 1080p not 4K when uploading on TH-cam .
@@Robbo8ball yep I do that amd the file size for a 4K 15 minute video is usually about 12GB and takes a lifetime to upload on my garbage broadband 🤣

Desktop is definitely my preferred method of editing, i’’m quicker, more efficient and enjoy the process more on a desktop 💻👍The mobile app comes in very useful for quick, on the go edits though📱👌

I have an android smartphone. Can I incorporate your smartphone videography lessons as it is with my android smartphone? As far as editing is concerned, I actually use Davinci Resolve 18. Is it ok?

I once threaded a fishing line through an empty pen cartridge once and hot glued a phone holder to it. I then tied one end of the line at he bottom of the hill and the other at the top and slid the phone down the line. It worked 📱👍
