Very smooth for outdoor skating! I just started skating outside since the COVID-19 but it is not as easy as skating on the wood floors inside the rink. I skate at Cascade in Atlanta, GA and during the skate-a-thons the UK represents always!! Keep up the side gig and your skating!
Oh man, I've just bought some of these and am doing my own conversion this wk with Airwaves. Didn't want the pretty girly type of skate - I used to like my chunky blades so this is a compromise. Great to see you still have so much manoeuvrability in them. Can't wait to get out and about. Great video.
you may probably know . i apologise if you have already told many times, we call it one leg spin , it could be done forward or backward. in general in figure skating they are finishing that way but starting with one leg spin to finish by keeping crossing with 2 toes (exactly as you shown on the video) probably easier to do in artistic roller skating or inline figure skating.
When I see cats doing the corkscrew spin/crossed-leg spin, it's typically at the end of a toe-toe spin. Maybe there's no good way to add speed/momentum to the spin itself. Also, I've mostly seen it done indoors. That probably helps keep some momentum.
Hi Nigel, If you're on Instagram check out the following pages: @thesk88lab @chop.and.shuffle @vtskates A lot of the conversions use certain ice boots that are no longer being made so they might need to look around for your size. But if you drop them a message they can advise ✌🏽
Generally converting ice boots gives you a much larger range of skates to choose from. The skates in this video are ice hockey boots. Many skaters like this style of boot and In London especially this hockey style of boot has become quite iconic. Brands like Bauer used to make roller skates in this style but stopped making them a while back. So the only way to get skates like these was to buy ice skates and convert them.
yo comment 27 is me God the son Holy 1 Lord Christ your heavenly brother Charlie, Cross legged spin is called Swivel toes... for now anyway as I have only just heard about it. Cool skill by any name. The skate conversion is great, ideal to be able to form a solid base so as not to get the flex of shoes but still to put wheels on kicks and start doing tricks my suit the sneeker head that can't find Gazelle skates anywhere lol. Good to see all the same so thanks and if you see me skating with a bar and I don't mean singing along to the music then please know with the grace and for the glory of God it is as under control as it's due to Amen. Peace.
Nice side surf
_Corkscrew spin._ I can barely hold the momentum once I enter it. Still working on it.
2:00 Hot damn! Heel-heel spins are hard and she initiated it from next to no momentum. Nice!

What’s the benefit in converting ice skates rather than just buying a pair of roller skates?
