12:28 I can explain this cutscene's rewrites in particular: 1) Flynn seems to be on the side of the fandom that HATES when Sonic treats his adventures like a mundane "office job" (see also: Sonic Boom,) so it's probable that he changed "It's like it's our job or something" to remove any implication of that attitude. Same reason he changed "I must've missed that memo" to "Keep dreaming, Egghead!" 2) Since Classic Eggman is no longer a plot twist, the characters have no reason to be confused about why Modern Eggman isn't kidnapped yet. The reason they consider a truce is because they still think Eggman's a victim of the Time Eater. "Why don't we work together to fight this bigger foe, just like when we stopped the ARK* and overcame Neo Metal**?" Because they don't realize that Eggman is the mastermind this time.
When it comes to Eggman saying the rather on the nose "After Sonic destroyed my interstellar amusement park," I'd argue it was done because the original line was "After *my most recent* setback."
ok that's fair enough... granted, the most recent setback happens to also be Sonic Colors HD but yeah i feel most people would act like Generations now takes place after Frontiers
Re the cutscene differences and changing the story, Ian Flynn supposedly wanted to do more to flesh the story out, but Sega were insistent on no big changes to the existing story - the dialogue rewrites were a compromise. As for the new actors since Gen OG: Tails - Colleen O’Shaughnessy replaces Kate Higgins Knuckles - Dave B Mitchell replaces Travis Willingham Blaze - Erica Lindbeck replaces Laura Bailey Silver - Bryce Papenbrook replaces Quinton Flynn Espio - Matthew Mercer replaces Troy Baker
It's always interesting how Colleen was the only VA from the games to appear in the films. It's not like she's high profile. People only know her as Tails, Wasp from EMH, Danny Phantom's sister, and a bunch of anime characters.
Yeah, I was gonna say I think at least Colleen replaced Kate voicing Tails to be more consistent with recent Sonic media I guess. I think that coincidence is funny when you think about it in a Naruto sense where Ino replaced Sakura for a voiceover job. XD
Well this is a case where both John and Ted are right but about different things. Ted's right in the sense that Wind Waker is not exclusive to the Wii U because Wind Waker is on the Gamecube but John is right in the sense that there is exclusive content that makes it a whole separate release. Honestly if Ted just said "People think Wind Waker is a Wii U exclusive" and not "People think the remaster of Wind Waker is an exclusive" then there wouldn't even be an argument.
@DaisyPhoxtrot I think the issue is that Ted isn't really articulating the differences inherent in each game. Like yeah at surface level, they're the same story, same characters, same levels, same gameplay. Its not like the Silent Hill 2 Remake that just came out that follows the plot, but it is literally a new game. The thing is, though, Wind Waker on GameCube is not Wind Waker HD. It's literally in the title Ted c'mon
Comments bitching about Ted, some things never change. Seriously that entire argument was stupid and everyone was being obtuse for no reason, idk how that's only Ted's fault.
HARD disagree with Ted's stance on remakes. If its a 1 to 1 port its the same game, but once there are differences its a different game. Even if 80% is the same, you play the remake FOR that 20%. Also his point ultimately doesnt work cause the main issue people have is they want to play it on MODERN hardware with the QoL updates. Not the Gamecube.
Exactly and that's what makes rereleases so lucrative to companies is that it lets people buy the game again on stuff they're more likely to have nowadays
"Twilight Princess" is not exclusive to the Wii U. "The Twilight Princess Wii U Remaster" is exclusive to the Wii U, by its very definition. This is an "all squares are rectangles, but not all rectangles are squares" situation.
17:07 Gareth's justified complaints about the cutscenes/dialogue & him acknowledging that in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter but at the same time it DOES matter is one of the most relatable things & I've heard in a while lol.
@@Mario9919DX You can like the general concept of things changing and still not like how the changes are done. I'm a fan of Ian Flynn's writing and agree that this is some of his weakest work. Whether it's due to SEGA's bumbling or not there are also decisions Ian made that clearly just don't work (i.e. the changes in dialogue not being a proper response to other lines, the animations not matching what Ian wrote, some dialogue just being stilted, etc.)
@@DaisyPhoxtrot I think the comment above and they said the other days that they change was a lot more substantial but the budget and Sega insisted to not change anything in the game itself compromise that and if you see Shadow Gen portion you can see the stark contrast of what Ian capable of
@@jlev1028 When Classic and Modern are about to turn super, that droning first note from "Live and Learn" plays, but it's immediately followed by Sonic 4's Super Sonic theme.
@@ZakJordan98That's more of Modern Tails' new line not working with Classic Eggman's reveal. In the original he said "Eggman? But how?" and Classic Eggman responded with "He had a little help.", but in the remaster, he says "Eggman? No wonder!" with Classic Eggman still responding the same.
Just to clarify though cause I've seen a number of misinformation about it, Yuji Naka hasn't actually gone to jail. He's currently on a suspended sentence i.e he's free as long as he doesn't screw up again.
I’m sad they got rid of the “wow did i really get that crazy?” line. There’s a lot of weird changes in the new script i’m not fond of even if the story of Generations isn’t anything to write home about
I feel like the "and they call me eccentric" line is also just kind of lame and mildly dumb because that's still him. The original joke fit with the "past-future" team up because they're the same individual, and I think it's coincidentally funny with the dislike in the post-credits (trying to forget the plan and all).
Yo. That whole discussion about Twilight Princess and Wind Waker Remastered. I got flashbacks to when Ted was So adamant on saying that Sonic 3 and Knuckles are both seperate games in the Resident Evil 2 Remake Playthrough. I'm just glad that Johnny is right about it 🤣
seriously like, yes if the question was "I want to play TP/WW" you could say it's on both but when someone is saying "I want to play TP/WW HD" then you can't say 'but it's on the gamecube'
@justingonzalez8741 I said this elsewhere but I think its really funny he's making this argument here...during this game...with all the dialogue changes, hidden chao and cutscene tweaks. Seriously Ted.
@justingonzalez8741 I mean it is a bit confusing when you think about it. Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are 2 games...but you can combine them into 1 game...but that doesn't mean the separation doesn't exist...god this is hurting my head Edit: I guess...I think when you see movies that are PART 1 and Part 2 nowadays they don't really fit neatly into one really long movie. Lord of the Rings is one story made up in 3 parts but that doesn't mean Fellowship is Return of the King...I hope this makes some sort of sense
One thing I just discovered about the Time Eater fight is that by holding and pressing the jump button you can send classic Sonic out like a projectile. I think that's why the homing attack cursor appears when you're near Time Eater. Unfortunately, he only goes in a straight line so you have to be very precise.
Sonic is more patient than we all give him credit for. Cause if it was me, I would've activated the emeralds the minute I saw the Time Eater in that cutscene. This is war.
11:54 the wrench that gets thrown in lewis' defense is outside of the geneis games, All sega CD,32X, Saturn, and Dreamcast game disc source disc we all destroyed by sega themselves when they exited the console market in fear of other developers "stealing their secrets" Which is why you see the same genisis collections re-released and as for the dreamcast games re-releases those were PC versions saves on Sega USA computers which were not destroyed. Panzer dragon remake happened because they do not have the original source code of panzer dragoon they intentionally destroyed.
Come on Ted, you've been gaming for long enough, you seriously cannot tell the difference between ports, remasters and remakes? There's no excuse for that.
In the Shadow the Hedgehog commentary, Gareth was chill whereas Johnny loses his mind. In the Sonic Generations remaster commentary, Johnny is chill while Gareth's just losing it.
It should also be noted that the PC version of Sonic Generations has a physical release, so even if it were delisted entirely, it's not "gone" Also, in the remaster, I encountered a glitch when putting the emeralds in the gears where the gears wouldn't turn, and I had to reboot the game
I agree with Gareth on the dialogue changes (No, Ian Flynn is not the New Harbinger of Sonic Stories, Gareth is just playing it up as usual, Take a Chill Pill Everyone). The dialogue rewrites and rerecordings don't matter matter in the Grand Scheme of things because Sonic Generation's Story is still just as much of a Nothing Burger as it was back in 2011, and the new dialogue and animation changes, while interesting in some cases, doesn't really mean anything. Like Gareth said, if they were gonna go out of their way to change most of the dialogue, they should've remade all of the cutscenes and added new ones to go with it, Otherwise they should've made Zero changes to the cutscenes. In fact, I heard Ian Flynn wanted to add more cutscenes to try and flesh out the plot more, but Sega really wanted to keep the remaster as faithful to the original as it could while also matching the writing and characterization everyone has in Frontiers and the IDW comics, so instead we ended up in a weird spot in the middle. Also, Ted....I really don't want to sound like an Asshole, but What the Hell was that Argument? Remasters are different versions of a game! Of course everyone can just hunt down the old versions of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess and play them on GameCube and/or Wii, but the Wii U Remasters made a lot of QoL changes that don't exist in the Original GameCube or Wii Releases of those games, and the only way to play Wind Waker and Twilight Princess with the QoL changes is to buy DIFFERENT VERSIONS of the Game that as the writing of this comment, are EXCLUSIVE to the Wii U. Same can be said with the Will Version of Resident Evil 4, Sure every other port of the game before the Remake are fundamentally the same game but The Motion Controls change up the Gameplay Flow enough to make it it's own version instead of just a simple port. I think you just made a take that's worse than saying Sonic 3 & Knuckles are two separate games.
Sonic sounded different. Back then. So when he said, "I beat you every time!" It sounded like a pre-boom version, and the follow-up was more hilarious, too. "No, seriously, it's like it's our job or something."
23:30 After losing my mind trying to get the Untouchable achievement on Time Eater, I realized that when you get close to him and the reticle pops up, Time Eater is programmed to do his clap attack first, making him impossible to hit until the attack is finished. But I swear that even after finding that out, it still doesn’t always register me trying to hit him. Man I hate Time Eater
I actually didn't have that much of a problem with Untouchable LOL. If you know the debris doesn't count it's just a matter of getting out of the way of the attacks. The clap can be hard to move away from sometimes but I still did it in less than 10 tries.
Yup this is peak brainscratch 😂 never change guys never change now onward to shadow gens Also I'm glad shadow now says "on your feet" considering what choice he has to make earlier

Actually, to defend Fi on the Wii version. The reason why she would remind you about the batteries running out because Wii Motion Plus would drain batteries like a MF while the Joy cons and Pro controllers on Switch don't have that issue.
@@diegomedina9637 Hmm, I always found that games that required the Nunchuk drained the batteries faster than those that only used the Wii Remote, but I dunno for sure. Would not surprise me if SS was particularly battery-hungry, although I don't remember the same being the case for Wii Sports Resort.
Gareth i know "you get it" but remember after the Original release Eggman had like 7 "most recent setbacks" so yeah, i think he should be more specific this time
And the Time Eater still sucks, finally onto Shadow. In my playthrough I beat the Time Eater in 02:01:01: That's if you know how to beat him quickly. I even damaged him when he was doing the jojo attack breaking that attack again in the Hard Mode version. You can get two hits into the Egg Dragoon if you hit him in the 2D section immediately after the first hit.
14:03 This section only opens after beating Egg Dragoon; you do NOT have to beat the rival battles to unlock it. So yes, you can miss the emeralds from those fights and have to go back.
I’m still bummed that Super Sonic wasn’t fixed to be good in this version. No extra jump height, no extra speed, just invincibility at 2 rings lost per second.
It's especially glaring because there was a perfect version of the Time Eater they could have gone with...3DS Time Eater. Not only is Classic Sonic actually useful in that version, but Modern Sonic still plays in 3D. They could have replaced the console fight with that one and nobody would complain about it because the fight would be better.
@@nicktoons125 It's nothing revolutionary, but 3DS Time Eater's a fun way to end that version of Generations, and it certainly looks like a masterpiece next to the console version.
@@nicktoons125 It's better as an overall battle with clear instructions but I wouldn't say it's good. There are too many moments where if you miss a QTE or aren't careful or you can't trust your depth perception that the fight stretches out past its welcome.

As much as i would want to understand Gareth on the cutscene changes, it all just sounds like rambling for the sake of complaining. Its the most nothing criticism that this game can have, and i believe that some of the changes needed some improvements to better fit the new dialogue, but its the fact that smooth-brain twitter users would use these criticisms but not have the self awareness of how stupid they sound, which at least Gareth knows he sounds crazy when saying it. I think that more than anything is what annoys me about this "discorse"
13 years later, and Sonic Generations is still my favourite Boost era 3D Sonic game. I did personally want new cutscenes reflecting on the included main levels (and a replacement for the ending scene), new unlockable music tracks, a reworked final boss, and maaaybe a better Planet Wisp remix for modern Sonic’s stage before this remaster dropped, but I am still happy that this amazing game got the remaster treatment at all, and there’s a just as good if not even better Shadow game in there too. I loved SxSG so damn much.
I love these Sonic playthroughs you guys do. I'm still happy Gareth came back for them; ya'll are hilarious. I'm looking forward to the Shadow portion of this.
I agreed with Johnny for the first part of the argument, remasters and remakes are technically different games. But the second part, games on different consoles are different games, I dont agree with. Example: SA2 battle on the GC is the same game as the SA2 battle on PS3/Xbox, because it is a port. Sure, there are more glitches in the newer version, but the game is the same. Sonic Colors and Sonic Colors Ultimate are not the same game. Sonic colors ultimate has new lighting, extra missions, a new wisp, unlockabke customizations for sonic, etc.
In the Sonic 06 portion of the credits, the person who had to get footage has clearly died like 4 times in the level when you look at the time and lives and stuff.
Ted's the biggest mark in the world for Hyrule Warriors and he can't wrap his head around different versions of the game being... different. Good rage bait though. The engagements going crazy.
Sonic _does_ beat Eggman in Riders, he and Jet just give Eggman the carpet because they've realised it's useless to him. If the Babylon treasure _had_ been something he could use to take over the world, they could've beaten him easily, he didn't even have a boss mech on hand. Also IIRC he can't even use it, since Riders Eggman can only use the Scooty Puff Jr.
Ohhhh ted I will hard argue wind waker hd is a complete change from GameCube, do NOT try to argue that point Also was replaying this the other day and the time eater boss fight is so tedious and just wonky, I also don’t get what spin dashing classic sonic actually does for that fight as it never hit anything. And egg dragoon has great music and visuals but is tedious and also a long fight. I WANT MY EGG EMPEROR FROM THE 3DS VERSION BACK! That boss was dope
To be fair, that carpet doesn't really count since he was expecting a superlaser or some shit but nope. It's just one of the king's many bath towels. DuckTales Remastered made a similar joke with a cepter being one of the ruler's many, MANY disposable backscratchers.
20:55 You forgot about Sonic Free Riders, where most of the current cast debuted (alongside both Wii & DS Colors), and Cindy Robinson's Amy Rose was the MOST Minnie Mouse-coded.
If you all want to feel really old, when Sonic Generations first came out and you guys did a commentary on it I was roughly 13 years old. I’m 25 going on 26 in a few days now and watching this playthrough realizing time is a flat circle.
Not to be THAT guy but incorrect on the new voices: Blaze and Weirdly by extension omochao has a new VA from team sonic racing (Erica Lindbeck) which is really funny if your a persona fan because this means those two characters have been both Rise Kujikawa and Futaba Sakura who are both navigators Although it’s also funny episo went from Troy Baker to Matt Mercer like Kanji Tatsumi did
Considering that Sonic Rivals 2 had Silver reference needing Rings to use his powers because he was tired, Sega has no reason to claim Rings aren't canon. They are.
This sounds so silly. I know sega is the oooh woooh boogeyman, but Ian is only human. It's not hard to believe if a few changed lines didn't hit the same.
@@nman551 Maybe they felt like the entire game didn't need a rewrite? They're an annoying company, we know that. But sincerely think about it for a second. It's an anniversary game that was already light on story to begin with, with a new mode that actually tells more story. Considering this entire package was a quick marketing tactic to cash in on the hype for movie 3, can we really be surprised that they were strict about the budget?
@@Kingdom850 An actual good faith critique would absolutely acknowledge that the bulk of the issues of the rewrite is Sega not allowing the writer to actually rewrite the story and also not having the animators change the animations to fit the new dialogue even though they allowed this. If they "didn't felt like the game needed a rewrite", there wouldn't be one. And ironically, the only significant changes to the story (i.e. actual animation changes) DO NOT have rewritten dialogue, that's entirely on Sega. They allowed a rewrite, and then crippled it, and you want to blame Ian Flynn because it's a name you recognize. What makes even less sense is that there is literally an entirely different game packaged with Generations that show you what a game built around a script is like, and there's no problem there.
@@Sneeakie Wow y'all are unhinged. I NEVER said Ian Flynn was the sole blame for anything. What the actual hell are you doing twisting my words like that? I said it's completely reasonable to think that maybe not all of his rewrites hit the same as the original. Is that really such a heretical take? Good lord. I'm sorry, I guess? The more likely scenario is they hired him to write Shadow Gens, he did, then he suggested a rewrite of Sonic Gens and had to really argue for it and they let him off with a few script changes and no animation editing because they don't see this as some massive release, and at the end of the day, it's not. Iizuka verbatim said this project exists because of Sonic movie 3. I'm not excusing of them of their lame greed, I'm recognizing that it is there and I KNOW it's the reason why the changes felt so half assed. But even in their "half assed-ness", they're not above SOME criticism. SOME. It's fine to critique what's there even AFTER recognizing the corporate intervention. Like Gareth said in the vid, is it not weird that some new lines don't correlate smoothly with the line that follows it? I'm not saying Flynn needs to be crucified for this, but it's a clear flaw and that's okay to admit. He's literally one guy!
_Okay,_ I was wondering about Gareth and the post-Egg Dragoon moment. And alright, I'll bite one just more time: Before the remaster, I've seen people specifically call out that exact line, "it's like it's our job or something," as an example of the _bad_ writing from the 2010s era. And while I personally don't view it as such, I can absolutely see how people could have interpreted it as a cheap meta joke, a jab at the franchise's repetitiveness, or just needlessly irreverent. Continuity shout outs are one matter of debate, but _that_ change, I think is one that solely falls to personal opinion, rather than being objectively better or worse. Leave it be or change it, _somebody_ was going to be unhappy, so I can't really hold that particular line to the level of egregiousness it was played up as here, hyperbole or not. And ultimately, _both_ versions of the line are wrong, because the lead-in itself is wrong, so... speaking for myself, I'll live :P
14:08 Actually, you can approach the area while short at least the yellow Emerald. I went and did that and saved the rival battle with Shadow for the last thing I did before beating the Time Eater, and could get all the way to the final gear only missing the yellow Emerald.
Removing the line about the rings was the one dialogue changed I like. They ARE just gameplay items, not things that are "actually" there - you don't see rings lying around in the background of cutscenes, for example.
Ahh you see clearly they included the emerald gear things 13 years ago so that Rouge would be able to swap the emeralds then and there in the remaster they were planning to release 13 years later
I played in JP and the script for the original JP script is pretty much identical. Only two major changes occurred: Modern Sonic having lines after rescuing a friend, and the late Chikao Otsuka, who voiced Eggman in Adventure until his final role as Eggman in Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric in 2014 as he ended up dying in the beginning of 2015, is replaced by Kotaro Nakamura. Personally on the latter it doesn't really hit the same. Plus I personally don't wanna hear Mike Pollock in anything ever again considering his little stint on Twitter that occurred this year. 14:06 technically you can skip Metal, Shadow and Silver, none of them are required to open their boss gates and the area unlocks after beating Egg Dragoon. So yeah you can miss some of the emeralds. Not like it matters since everyone just fights them when they're available, but you can do it so I'm bringing it up. also the rewrites really do not matter, the plot of Sonic Generations is so nothing that they could've bleeped out every word of dialogue, cut the subtitles and nothing would be missing.
I do get where Ted's coming from on a superficial level, but the thing he was refusing to digest from Johnny's argument is that some remasters like Wind Waker's and Twilight Princess's make changes so beneficial to your experience, even if they're SMALL changes, that they become the definitive editions of the game and once you've played it you can't just go back to the original again. To use one of his own favorite games as an example, it'd be the exact same thing as saying Pokémon HeartGold isn't exclusive to the DS... because you can also play it on Game Boy and 3DS Virtual Console! It's the same game, isn't it!
As I had stated in Johnny's video, I woke up one day, feeling really mad at the world, and then I was like, "I'm gonna go finish this game." and when I got to Time Eater, it only took me three tries, but I managed to take my anger out on Eggman completely. And that made me feel better after I kicked his butt. I could've done that with Dark Gaia, but no.. the freaking first phase sucks!
I think its really funny he's making this argument here...during this game...with all the dialogue changes, hidden chao and cutscene tweaks. Seriously Ted.
man, the Time Eater leaves so much to be desired i hate that Sega didn't expanded it since the Emerald Gears are kinda optional it would have been a neat if they added a phase before Super Sonic but it gives you a "Bad End" cutscene if you don't have all the Emeralds
The thing that annoys me most about Time eater is that there's no origin to it. Eggman just found it like someone would find a broken TV behind an alleyway. I appreciate them wanting to have eggman in the main antagonist role again but the time eater is just lazy.
11:53 honestly I think what they should have done instead of essentially trying to do a dodgey method to get more money is instead, warned like owners of generations through an email notification, tell them they plan to delist it, get the buzz around so the modders could have figured out how to transfer over pretty much every mod and tool they could. It wouldn't be able to save them all, but most is better than none right? Especially as of late there has been this unspoken rule between sega of America and the fans if they release the game on steam they release the source code, out of the box, no strings attached because they actually PLAY these mods too
I think the better RE4 example would be RE4 VR for the quest, which is a quest exclusive. Because it's a port of the original game, into UE4, with substantial changes made to the game to make it play better in VR. And the experience is fundamentally different than playing the original.

Gareth's justified complaints about the cutscenes/dialogue & him acknowledging that in the grand scheme of things this doesn't matter but at the same time it DOES matter is one of the most relatable things & I've heard in a while lol.
He's just bitching. He doesn't like change.

How would be separate games if Knuckles immediately starts with Sonic still on the Island!?
Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are different games though, they were sold as separate...
Yk what nevermind. I don't care.
@justingonzalez8741 I mean it is a bit confusing when you think about it. Sonic 3 and Sonic and Knuckles are 2 games...but you can combine them into 1 game...but that doesn't mean the separation doesn't exist...god this is hurting my head
Edit: I guess...I think when you see movies that are PART 1 and Part 2 nowadays they don't really fit neatly into one really long movie.
BSC should do their own rewrite: Overly Verbose Sonic Generations
There goes Ted, once again being one of the all-time grand champions of Crazy Talk. XD
Sonic is more patient than we all give him credit for. Cause if it was me, I would've activated the emeralds the minute I saw the Time Eater in that cutscene. This is war.
Knuckles? Is that you?
This is the guy who is salty about fanbases being fanbases.
In the Shadow the Hedgehog commentary, Gareth was chill whereas Johnny loses his mind.
In the Sonic Generations remaster commentary, Johnny is chill while Gareth's just losing it.
It should also be noted that the PC version of Sonic Generations has a physical release, so even if it were delisted entirely, it's not "gone"
Also, in the remaster, I encountered a glitch when putting the emeralds in the gears where the gears wouldn't turn, and I had to reboot the game
Guys cmon, clearly Ted's insane take on the Zelda remasters is just a Pikmin 2 reference. Settle down
I agree with Gareth on the dialogue changes (No, Ian Flynn is not the New Harbinger of Sonic Stories, Gareth is just playing it up as usual, Take a Chill Pill Everyone).
Funny how this game now has probably the worst final boss in a Sonic game & the best final boss in a Sonic game.

I’m still bummed that Super Sonic wasn’t fixed to be good in this version. No extra jump height, no extra speed, just invincibility at 2 rings lost per second.
It’s so disappointing that they didn’t fix anything in the Time Eater fight, didn’t even reduce the ‘homing shot’ chatter
It's especially glaring because there was a perfect version of the Time Eater they could have gone with...3DS Time Eater. Not only is Classic Sonic actually useful in that version, but Modern Sonic still plays in 3D.

I did personally want new cutscenes reflecting on the included main levels (and a replacement for the ending scene), new unlockable music tracks, a reworked final boss, and maaaybe a better Planet Wisp remix for modern Sonic’s stage before this remaster dropped, but I am still happy that this amazing game got the remaster treatment at all, and there’s a just as good if not even better Shadow game in there too. Shadow is still voice by Kirk Thornton Ted.
His name is just Kirk Thornton, not "Kirk Thornton Ted".
Truly, this is a commentary that scratches the brain.
Ted's whole argument about Zelda I think is the first time, in 12 years of listening to these guys, that I've been driven fucking insane.
4:20 Ted deserves an award for gaslight of the year with the hectic argument that came afterwards (also 4:20 lol).
Ohhhh ted I will hard argue wind waker hd is a complete change from GameCube, do NOT try to argue that point
Also was replaying this the other day and the time eater boss fight is so tedious and just wonky, I also don’t get what spin dashing classic sonic actually does for that fight as it never hit anything.
Sonic ate that chili dog like a minecraft character. It just evaporates.

@@Kingdom850 he clearly wanted to write something else but SEGA was being SEGA as usual
This playthrough so far has been like a warm cup of hot chocolate on a cold day.

What is Ted going on about Remasters???????
Igniting a powder keg...SO HAVE AT HIM, BOYS! XD
The Lord has blessed us with two BrainScratch videos a day! May the gaming Gods be praised!
So by Ted's logic, is the Silent Hill 2 Remake not an exclusive to modern hardware despite the game playing completely different from the original?
Clement Timing was perfect 👌 19:43 😂😂😂 "That looks like a homing shot!"
Wow, Ted is really fighting a losing battle here.
What else is new

man, the Time Eater leaves so much to be desired i hate that Sega didn't expanded it
since the Emerald Gears are kinda optional it would have been a neat if they added a phase before Super Sonic but it gives you a "Bad End" cutscene if you don't have all the Emeralds
The thing that annoys me most about Time eater is that there's no origin to it. Eggman just found it like someone would find a broken TV behind an alleyway.
I appreciate them wanting to have eggman in the main antagonist role again but the time eater is just lazy.
I'm assuming it's an evolved Void Wisp but that's reaching.
I always assumed that it was a Revenant of what was left of Solaris, but Shadow Gen shoots down that theory.
17:10
Insane redditor is an oxymoron
Damn, this part should’ve been named “Ted repeatedly shoots himself in the foot” lol
Especially as of late there has been this unspoken rule between sega of America and the fans if they release the game on steam they release the source code, out of the box, no strings attached because they actually PLAY these mods too
14:32 So what is this thing in the context of the story?
I think the better RE4 example would be RE4 VR for the quest, which is a quest exclusive. Because it's a port of the original game, into UE4, with substantial changes made to the game to make it play better in VR. And the experience is fundamentally different than playing the original.
We've missed you Gareth
