    No lift kit. I put the strutmaster coilovers on. So it lifted the car up more than I preferred. So I went with 22's. Prior to the suspension swap, 22's would only rub when the car would lower on the highway on dips. Highest setting it never rubbed. Only rubbed on lowest setting.

    Where did you get the rear diffuser from its tight or did you fabricate it, the black lip in front is that one of those universal ones, looks cool too i want to add more to my v12 cl6

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Andrew Donges Yes, the front lip is universal. Had to be modified to fit properly. The rear diffuser is also universal.

    It takes a lot of work. Impossible to do it without the car being here. There's extensive rewiring involved. Custom install. I'm not offering to do others as of now.

  • @owenchinaloi8588
    @owenchinaloi8588 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What kind of modifications did you have to do to make the civic front lip fit?......I live in Suriname South America so sourcing parts for these cars is almost impossible so any help would be much appreciated 🙏

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Gavin Morris Hey.....how did you identify the original source of that lip? 😂👍🏾 Good job. Actually, I had to create cuts that allowed me to flex it. The curve of the OEM civic lip is not wide enough. Make sure you round out the cuts so that over time they don’t crack. And bolt or screw the lip into the underside as you would any lip. It was all an experiment. If you can source another ‘cheap’ lip that is a bit wider, maybe measure some local cars in comparison to your CL....that can save a bit of work.

    i have an 04 what headlights or bulbs are you using

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      VICKSVLOG V2 Those are modified headlights created from a combination of parts and accessories. Lol. HID 10k kit and LED bulbs. It's quite the deviation from factory. If you have an 04...I'd recommend leaving them OEM. You have the better, more expensive lights. Just run led instead of halogen and you'll be happy.

    Were the struts from strut-masters adjustable in heightening ?

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beast Knotts Nope. They are no adjustable. They worked out though for the 22’s. Not a good idea if you want to lower your car though.

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lol!!! Thank you. It took a bit of engineering and electrical work. The larger light started off a Volkswagon beetle headlight. The inner began as a fog light. Both of course had to be modified and a bezel created.

    • @goldelementautoworks

      pob000 Lol....I understand your perspective. But think about it....This is what car customization is all about. Uniqueness. Thinking outside the box. I love the factory look. I’ve had several of these CLs. Check out my latest greatest Widebody CL55. But regarding this yellow one......If it was factory OEM...would you even have clicked my video????

    `Where did u fin this lips and difussers?

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Birdzhan Rashidow The front lip was designed for the 96-00 Honda Civic. The diffuser came from a Jaguar XF.

    • @birdzho
      @birdzho 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey thank u very much for the fast answer! Can u tell me for which year jaguar is the diffuser and where i can buy, and can u tell me if u re happy with cl500 im thinking of buying one and i want to make it like yours, im inlove with these colors like yellow, orange, electric green? Thank u very much again bro! I will be happy if u tell me the prices of these lips and diffusers. Good day!

    • @goldelementautoworks
      @goldelementautoworks  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Birdzhan Rashidow No problem. Do a search on eBay. The diffuser is for all years of the Jaguar XF. The front lip will require some modification to fit. But for the price, you can't beat it. The cl500 is a very advanced technically designed car. Nothing like the ride and comfort. Lacking on initial speed because of the weight. Plenty of power once up to speed. Heavy 22" wheels will slow it down. Suspension is unreliable due to age. ABC suspension had issues so I swapped it out for strutmaster. I painted the car myself. I stripped the interior and installed an interior from a wrecked Designo edition. I did all the electronic audio and video upgrades. A very unique car that turns heads everywhere it goes. I'm currently working on my new project. A 2003 mercedes cl55 amg. I love the engineering of this car so much that I bought the amg version. I'm doing a widebody kit, adjustable lowered suspension. And much more. So yeah....look into the cl500. If you can....get a 03+. And if you really can.....find an amg. Lol

  • @goldelementautoworks
    @goldelementautoworks  7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Honestly, it didn't. It drives more firm. Of course you feel the ride a little more, but it's not uncomfortable. It's remains a good feel overall. 22's do slow it down a bit on take off.
