Small and rest of the large bowel loops appear to be normally disposed with normal calibre and wall thickness with no evidence of abnormal narrowing or dilatation seen.. Omental and mesenteric shadows reveal no abnormality.

I don't see any point in administering contrast anally. Perhaps only in an emergency, in the case of obstruction or stenosis. Everything can be done much more simply if the patient takes the contrast orally on their own the day before the examination. All the radiologist needs to do in this case is simply scan the patient. P.S. And, judging even by one picture, the patient seems to have a Treitz hernia. If I had this study, I would be able to show this.
Kung normal po ang creatine tapos yung gamot daw po na ituturok sa pasyente kapag nakaramdam sya ng paninikip ng dibdib,hirap sa paghinga o pangangati hindi na daw po itutuloy yung CT SCAN.
Triple contrast kasi ang procedure tol, hindi Dynamic/triphasic. Dynamic/triphasic yun yung iv lang pro syempre will go on 3phase arterial, venous, and delay. Triple contras mean 1. Oral contrast 2. IV contrast 3. Rectal contrast kaya nga sya triple contrast. And regarding to your other question bakit inuuna ang oral contrast for the reason na it takes time for the contrast to cover the small and large intestine for about 30-45mins. Lastly please don’t mind the bladder, it is not important for the bladder to be full, it is a common misconception when it comes to triple contrast study of the abdomen, unless the referring physician requested it for the reason na bka my history si px sa pelvic area nya. This place must not do many cts in a day, to have all this time for one exam. I wish it was more like this in America. In one 12 hour shift, I scan about 24 or more people. Most of them aren't with rectal contrast, but some of them are, and we have to fit them in amongst the rest. So we may have like 20 minutes to prepare, if that. We scan way too much nonsense over here.

@sergeyshchurko9541 so many things wrong with this statement. Rectal contrast and oral contrast do not achieve the same diagnostic results, they don't just give rectal contrast for the hell of it. It's more able to detect a perforated colon, than just oral alone. You think they give rectal contrast when oral contrast would work just fine? That doesn't even make sense. Then to say they would drink the contrast the day before shows you don't know what you are talking about. Depending on the contrast, there are different time frames for when it will reach the desired location, none of those time frames are more than 4 hours. So if someone drank contrast the day before, they would most certainly need to drink again. Also, a radiologist doesn't perform the scan. A Technologist scans the patient and a radiologist is a doctor who reads the study.
@@tlehman0001 For effective contrasting, you need to know how exactly to contrast orally. I used my version and each time, I received excellent data on the transit of contrast and the state of all parts of the gastrointestinal tract. With a reasonable approach to contrasting, you can get complete data on the state of the entire gastrointestinal tract.
@sergeyshchurko9541 there is just no possible way you "recieved excellent data" in the GI if you gave oral contrast 24 hours before the test. There would be absolutely nothing in the small bowel and if the patient had a bowel movement, maybe nothing in the colon. 4 hours is the max delay given with oral contrast. This is according to the ARST and governing body.
@@tlehman0001 The patient takes the contrast the day before the examination, three times - at 9, at 13 and at 19. The next day, preferably in the morning, without eating, the last dose of contrast, two hours before the examination. If the patient has no problems with the gastrointestinal tract, then the daily contrast will leave the body. If there are problems, then the contrast will show them.

Para malaman po na walang kidney failure/damage ang patient pag normal ang crea. Kasi pag hindi po normal, meaning may problema po sa kidney, so bawal mag undergo ng ct scan procedure na with contrast. Kasi yung contrast media na i inject contains Iodine na which is bawal pag may kidney failure dahil mas lalo itong lalala. Unless, may special order from your doctor to still proceed with the procedure kahit hindi normal yung creatinine level kasi kailangan talaga. I hope it answers your question. Thanks, po.

If may slight elevation sa result ni seCr we use LOCM(Low Osmolality Con) to avoid or reduce the acute CIN(contrast media induced nephropathy). Hindi nman kidney damage or failure agad pag nag react sa contrast media, let us not make tension instead let us teach them to be aware what are the pros and cons of the dye and procedure. Plus maski high SeCr is fine din as long as may clearance from the nephrologist, even with DIALYSIS px we perform Contrast procedure it is only a matter of communication with the atteding physician kasi kung may schedule nman ng dialysis sooner yun px it is Ok kasi with the help of dialysis mas mapapa bilis clearance ni Contrast kay dialysis px. Lets make a thorough explanation for them to understand well what’s occurring behind our procedures, we want them informed para they are comfortable if ever they undergo any of our procedure. And to add delay or equilibrium phase should not exceed no more than 7mins why? the focus of delay/equilibrium phase is to check the liver, if the contrast had flush from the liver, if not kasi then for sure we have a problem on the liver. And 4ml flow rate is too much as well we should always be cautious when it comes to cont. extravasation sayang yun gamot and kawawa si px sayang din preparation natin lahat sayang 😅 3ml is perfect we aint doin no angiogram kaya sa standard lang tayo na 3ml-2.5ml para safety ng px at safety natin at prodecure.
