Sadly I never really get to hear the music in the game, as I turn the volume off when I become orrorin tugenensis. You get the ability to control your emotions at that species, and I always use alert to travel at what might be twice the speed. Why does this make me turn the music off? well, it plays combat music when alert, and I don't like listening to it constantly. Fortunatly, I'm still at around the beginning in my 3rd playthrough, but i'm at around 7,300,000 year mark, and am about to become orrorin tugenensis.
man, I have just been replaying the game after a year and a half. the first time I played it without music because of the audio cues and never got to hear this banger and it is just making me so sentimental I hope the next instalment of the series will be as good as the first

This song really makes you feel how much you have accomplished from a Ape not knowing what water is to being bipedal
