Renegade LS V8 Red 944 back for a visit

- The original video of this car is one of our most popular on our TH-cam Channel! We couldn't help but give everyone another look after 2 years attacking the mountains of Utah, and the legendary Miller Motorsports (now called UMC)! It still looks beautiful...but do not be fooled by the lack of battle scars. The owner has protected the paint with ceramic coating, kept the undercarriage meticulously clean, and maintained a maintenance schedule that would make the guys back at the factory proud!

Scott amazing work with this 944!
Waaay cool,
Thank you.
I've got an 83 and love in England!!! Would love to have this conversation... How possible is this on my side of the Big Pond???
God bless
Jonathan
Wow. Love the red..... can I get a ride in this one before it goes back home❤
Already back in Utah. Sorry...
@@RenegadeHybrids 07k swaps are becoming more popular for Porsche 944 and 928 models. Would this type of engine swap be considered for future services?
Glad to see the Red car is getting used! I've had my Black one finished for 4 years now and it is still AMAZING!

With it being an '83 did you have to do a transaxle swap as well.? I have an '83 with a bad engine block and have considered doing a swap.. Was concerned with suspension and my transaxle handling it..
It's not necessary, but as you can see in the video, a turbo 944 trans is stronger.
Do you have a shop in the east coast or recommended shop? TIA.
Florida, I do!
If someone were to bring you a 944, and a crate engine, how much would it cost for you to do the swap? parts + labor? Super awesome, not sure why im just stumbling upon LS 944s now
Give the boys in the shop a call. They can help you with all your questions. Thanks.
Would you consider doing a hemi swap kit?
No, sorry. There is very little interest in heavy mods to the car to accept the Hemi.
Are you guys open to dropping an LS into a 1979 Rolls Royce Silver Shadow II?
Thanks for asking, but we have nearly a 2 year backlog of Porsche and Lotus conversions to do. We will stick to what we know! Thanks again...
What was the coilovers this 944 is running? Is there a torsion bar delete?
Yes, bars are deleted. Rear coilovers are Tarret Engineering!
th-cam.com/video/ULMHzw771DM/w-d-xo.htmlfeature=shared is the original video.
@@RenegadeHybrids have you guys added any support to the chassis at the mounting points of the rear coilovers? I’m thinking about doing a torsion bar delete, and running rear coilovers, but some people are saying that the the mounting point aren’t meant to support that much load.
@zanesalamah846 That's not true at all. Those points in the car are perfectly fine for street and occasional track use.
@@RenegadeHybrids thank you so much, once my interior and suspension are up to date I’ll contact you to be put on a waiting list for an ls swap!
I’m on the fence here. The swap is super cool, but the 944 is almost perfectly balanced stock.
Balance doesn't change...not at all.
@@RenegadeHybrids oh well…awesome.
The weight of the LS engine is actually 80lbs LESS than the turbo 944 (951) engine!
@@RenegadeHybrids I learned something new today. 👍🏼
These Ls powered Porsches makes me regret not knowing how to drive stick
