Whats up #yoyogang ! In this episode of learn to yoyo, let's learn how to do the Cold Fusion yoyo trick based off of double or nothing. The yoyo being used in this video is the Shutter Trainer from my signature line of Gentry Stein Yoyofactory yoyos.

Gentry, I really think a lot of people will appreciate how you go through what could go wrong when describing the trick. I think a lot of tutorials don't mention how to get out of trouble when you run into the common issues. So this is really great that you not include how to do the trick, but also how NOT to do the trick. Really happy to see you back and we really enjoyed your bi-metal shutter that was featured on our channel! I can't wait to try the rest of your lineup!

I got this trick down for the first time whilst I was on a cruise ship two weeks ago. I was practicing on my cabin balcony, and the best part is, I got it on camera so I might upload that on TH-cam someday!

Just got this trick learned this week , now just working on speeding it up and making it smooth as possible. I had a bit of trouble with the part where after threading the strings you flip it one way then the other lol was hard to stop my hands turning with it if that makes sense and sometimes it would just completely fall apart😅. Got it going properly now tho.

One of my favs to perform
I was watching this and then realised that I already know this, it did help to try and get some tips to get it more consistent. Even though its known, one is still able to learn and grow from just engaging. Greatest education comes from play.
Learning this trick with my MAGICYOYO Silencer, just about have it by the end of this video!

Eli hops is a really hard trick and after learning it I was not able to preform it for quite some time. However with eli hops you just need to keep practicing and one day you just figure it out

Tož ten Dáves Shutter trainer is made to a lower level of precision. Metal yoyos on amazon from $10-$30 are terrible. Shutter trainer is the best yoyo you can get for $25. If you want the top of the line higher precision Shutter, then it just costs the full price. :) Both are great value, both are great yoyos.

Really good Tutorials !!! much love from Germany !!! Learned this trick pretty fast but i got one Question about the part exactly after the Double or Nothing ... when you put the String under the yoyo the 1st time then push your Pointer Finger (Throwhand) back to the Right side against the two strings . I don’t get the Point of doing it twice cuz i can simply drop one String on my other Hand and im in the Same Position ... its faster and easier to do so ...

Its basically just a filler step. You don't need to do that additional step to get into the proper string setup for the trick, but it is how cold fusion is done. Cold fusion is on the trick ladder list so most people want to learn and do it exactly how its supposed to be done.
I mess this truck up somewhere in between where when I go to finish it I can’t get to the trapeze because of it, I don’t know how to explain it because I swear I’m doing everything right but somewhere between the double or nothing and the step after I’m messing something up i think

Hey Gentry, quick question about shutter wide angle bearing: Is it a good idea to upgrade it from center track to KonKave bearing? I struggle a lot with my yoyo tilting. I do realize that its mostly my fault but still I want to improve it somehow. I just want to know will it change much or is the difference only slight and not worthy of spending money?
That will not help with the yoyo tilting. If your yoyo is tilting, the string is rubbing against the side of your yoyo. Instead, I would spend your money on strings, pads, yoyo accessories, etc. and when you’re ready for another yoyo go eith the bimetal shutter. Gentrystein.com/shop
