Whats up #yoyogang ! In this episode of learn to yoyo, let's go over an introduction to yoyo grinds. The yoyo being used in this video is the Shutter Trainer from my signature line of Gentry Stein Yoyofactory yoyos.

Hey Gentry, just commenting to say that you're the reason that I got into yoyoing. One night, I randomly googled professional yoyoing and your world's contest routine 2015 was the first thing I saw. I found it mesmerizing and now I follow multiple yoyo players and love it. I'm at the point now that I can do kamikaze-one and a half-double or nothing speed combos very cleanly, and I'm learning the cold fusion trick. Thanks for getting me hooked on an awesome hobby. I enjoy playing with the yoyo and dazzling my buddies. You're the man!

I just love grinds! One of my all time favorite grinds is the thumb grind!
Man... I just... you make everything soo smooth... I have a cheaper unresponsive yoyo and it drives me crazy... have a DNA on the way now... going to start the whole series when it gets in.

Shutters are great for Grinds! Got one Wide Angle myself and can grind for quite a long time.

As a beginner i just like doing double or nothing and buddahs revenge i cant do anything else. Today i was just doing trapeze over n over bouncing it up n catching it for practice.

@Gentry Stein Sorry to bother you Gentry, but I just got into yoyoing a few months ago and I really enjoy it. I'm trying out some of the tricks like rock the baby (which I can only do on unresponsive) and split bottom mount. But I'm having difficultly keeping my responsive yoyo spinning for longer and for the split bottom mount, I subscribed and watch your videos but I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Looking forward for your reply 😁😁

For my experience, the easy grind yo-yo are shutter, shutter WA and butter.(sorry replay pro you aren't good for grind)

can i use oil as an replacement for thin lube on my unresponsive yoyo bearing?
In my experience, using any type of oil besides thin lube for your yoyo bearing is not ideal because it can and most likely will break the bearing.

True I guess I cannot do finger grinds on replay pro best to get a yoyo I researched a lot about which yoyo is best it is the Marco yoyo trust me however it is not on gentry Stein try searching a website so yo can gat the Marco yoyo
@@PPslayer429 I disagree. The Marco is not better for grinds than the Shutter options.
Ideally, a metal yoyo works best for grinds. That being said, its still possible on a replay pro. Keep practicing, and if you want do end up wanting to upgrade to a metal yoyo, the Shutter Trainer on my store is a great option. www.gentrystein.com/shop/shutter-trainer
