Jarl seems to have so much love and thought put into his design! Even though I know it's not going to happen I keep rooting for the unfeatured hero, maybe one day they'll eak out a win!
XD I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. I wonder if he threw on that jacket to meme because he's fighting Jarl. In reality, some people get cold easily and some get warn easily. Maybe that room has moderate chill and one is too cold in it, while the other is okay
Was very excited to see this video! I have the Dash I/O Armory deck coming in the mail tomorrow. Me and my friends just recently got into FaB. Played some blitz decks and decided to jump into CC! They started buying the others so I bought the one they didn't buy yet. I'm really excited to play this deck because it really seems like a deck I'd love to play! I play a lot of Magic: The Gathering and the Dash I/O deck makes me think of izzet (Blue and red) decks where you take a bunch of actions. Can't wait and I thank you for showing me what this deck can do!
@ I love it! I don’t have a ton of free time to play, but I golfish it a lot and then the other day got a game in with a friend. Game came down to the wire and I barely won, but it was a great game. Forgot his hero, but she does arrows. One turn he attacked for 15, I blocked all of it with cards and equipment. Then I finished him off in the next few turns. Lol
My heart breaks to see what happened to the mechanologist heroes (and sorry for the long one in advance). With the DIO armory deck came Cerebellum Processor, an unbannable card that looks like an obvious replacement for (the now banned) Tome of Fyendal, which works as a pure value card far from the class identity and doesn't need to much imagination to be broken with DIO. Because of this High Octane needed to be gone, and it practically killed Maxx and Dash IE leaving them without a real wincon. CYB kept Teklo afloat for a bit, but it also needed to go because other heroes used it significantly more efficiently (not that it was flavourful in Teklo in any way). As a result new players interested in the class face the option of purchasing the Precon, and play a worse Aurora, or... well this is the only choice. Technically they could try any other hero and keep losing until the new designs maybe trickle in the form of expansion cards after a couple of years, but they will have to face 3-6 sets worth of (probably talented) new heroes with card pools waaay above the power level of Bright Lights. Established Mech players face the choice of... purchasing the DIO armory deck and abandon any other Mech hero or... well, see above. Adding insult to injury, Teklo and Maxx already in an almost unsalvageable state get Jarl as an auto-loose matchup, who will rightfully be the go-to choice of new players, and a significant portion of the established playerbase. After the reception of Bright Lights, I'm not even sure if the class can be salvaged with the notable exception of DIO. Cerebellum Processor was a poisoned apple, and I'm sure if it was designed after the book burning, the class would have received something fun in it's place, but Mechanologist as a class is now equal to the now mandatory armory deck. I'm certain LSS is now cooking something to try to amend this situation, and I trust them that they will try their best.
When did High Octane ever become a wincon for IE tho? There's plenty of ways to build her. Maxx on the other hand is dead rn without HO so I agree with that part
@@MRGilD0 You are completely correct, Dash IE's unmatchable versatility should never be counted out, and she's better off than Maxx or Teklo, that's 100%. The reason I've still put her in the same group is because two of her three main archetypes is not really something that can be looked on as relevant anymore. The hyper aggro plan can be executed, but from what I've seen it's just a vastly inferior version of Dash IO currently. For the hybrid version (the most interesting in my personal opinion) in my experience High Octane was the glue that held the two parts together, and it just kind of fell apart being able to do neither half that well anymore. The fatigue Dash plan is still a 100% valid strategy, but... it feels like a pistol enabler without anything else used from the class, but (again) this is just a personal opinion. If a new player asked if Dash IE would be something that would be worth investing in, I don't think I could say yes with full honesty. If an established player looked at her if she's worth being picked up again, sure. Fatigue/Slab Dash IE is viable, and she might even arrive at the Living Legend status at some point, and along with Teklo the control aspect is surely considered to be part of the class identity. On the other hand if you want to have a fatigue plan is Dash IE your best option? And one final point which is reeeeally just my personal opinion: I think the fatigue plan is not what the general class representation (both flavour and game mechanics) would try to establish as the identity of Dash IE. When I want to play a Mech (both sides of the table), Sink Below - Fate Foreseen -Pistol - Pistol - GO is not really what I'm personally looking for (Gotta Go Fast says the huge text on the official LSS page), but it is totally understandable if someone enjoys it (see the discussion on CYB). This is why Flesh and Blood is such a great game because there's so much room for self expression. It just makes me sad to see quite a bit of that room taken away (indirectly) by Cerebellum Processor.
I think Heavy is a neat keyword but doesn't it conflict a bit with the recent restating of the Design Goals? It seemed like you are supposed to start at peak strength but this seems like an exception when paired with the breakable shield
I think reading the design goal that literally might be overkill. By that logic demiheroes like Levia Redeemed are against their design philosophy, which they definitely aren't.
Using Data IO hero ability you can play an item from top of your deck as an instant (not paying action point) and most items have ability to crank, which gives you action point. That is a mechanic this hero resolves around.
video makes it seem like he played it from the top of his deck but he actually played it from hand, thats why he draws 2 cards after putting one in the arsenal
I wanted to get into this but it’s so competitive even in my poor area that I decided to get out after 3 weeks and $200 spent. Cost of entry is thru the roof for new players. Could be fixed with more reprints.. super disappointed but I guess I’ll just watch it on TH-cam instead.
i thought i had the same issue too when i first started. Playing against people with PSA Graded cold foil legendary equpments and insane cards. But then i just played my Azelea Armory deck and swaped in a few cards that did more damage and i was actually able to kill people with insane decks. It takes time, and a lot of the time you dont need massively expensive cards to be able to beat people, a lot of the time its just how you attack and defend is how you can get ahead. Thats what really caught my attention in this game was the fact that attacking can have advantages and disadvantages along with defending properly and they run out of gas when youre not. If you like the gameplay i would suggest to keep trying more and more games but i had the same thought when i started. I think my FIRST words to the new playgroup was, whelp Runechants are bullshit....
@ I’m 35 I’ve been around the block and have played my fair share of Korean mmo I know min/maxing eventually you will find out that your cards will hold you back. Skill can and will only take you so far. The game is okay to win just like a bad Korean cash grab mmorpg. Also I wouldnt put much stock into a company that tells its customers to buy off the secondary market instead of buying sealed product. I have emails to prove they promote this dumb crap. Meaning they don’t even support local game stores. I can’t even find a local game store that sells or does the games that’s close because they tell me it’s not worth their investment or time to carry or host. It’s a waste of space for them to have an event and charge $5 per person and not have them buy product…. Game is small because of the company’s bad business practice in todays market…
@ another problem with the game is Jarl is the only hero of his type and once he’s gone you have more useless cards like you did with Oldhim gone. This game is very flawed in design. I couldn’t imagine spending money on jarl staples to only play him for a year and then not be able to play a hero like him again for x amount of years. Meanwhile LSS is worried about the secondary card market instead of fixing this flawed balancing system… unfortunately a lot of people don’t think much past banana these days though to see this..meanwhile I preorder $800 of the new set of Pokémon and already doubled my money and it’s not even out until mid January.. but this game wants me to play with $120 cards x 7 and shuffle them around and mess them up… a game like this isn’t suppose to have $120 cards… flawed business practices I can’t get behind and nobody else should either. Why? because you’re gonna lose your investment. I bet you waste $50 a week driving to find a store to play this game… very small toxic, butter player base with wool pulled over their eyes. LSS is such a small company they are one bad year away from bankruptcy…as a business owner, someone who plays with stocks and crypto I can’t get behind this company and their dumb business practices. It’s not about money it’s about the fact it’s not sold anywhere because it’s bad for a store to invest into. This company is gonna disappear as fast as it came on the scene. I have emails from them stating the player base has not grown enough to do more reprints. Meaning game is growing backwards. They literally referred me to the secondary market because they know the same cards are being traded among the same small group of people…I can prove this with emails from LSS marketing. More veteran players quit and sell their cards than new players join and buy new or singles… I’d argue a large chunk of the player base aren’t even players, they are people that buy cards and can’t find a group to play with.
Jarl seems to have so much love and thought put into his design! Even though I know it's not going to happen I keep rooting for the unfeatured hero, maybe one day they'll eak out a win!
Agreed! I wish they did a video series where they had an Armory deck gauntlet where all face all prior
That would be so fun to watch!!
Jarl is my most awaited hero ever in FaB, so excited to be able to play with Ice & Earth for my first time in CC :)
I love that Kevin came prepared wearing that thick jacket of his to prevent Frostbites.
Nice Max V/boom grenade turn!
Great game guys, many thanks!!
Are those two playing from different climate zones?
XD I didn't even notice until you mentioned it. I wonder if he threw on that jacket to meme because he's fighting Jarl.
In reality, some people get cold easily and some get warn easily. Maybe that room has moderate chill and one is too cold in it, while the other is okay
It's mandatory when playing vs Jarl lol
They blasted the ac right at him to simulate the frostbite.
I loved the songs changing according to the events of the games
Fun gameplay as always. Thanks, guys!
Ps. My homies are already on the Jarl Hype Train.

Can't wait for Jarl. Didn't expect it to also be packing Polar Blast, nice imclude.
YES!! Finally we get to see what Jarl can do!!
Top notch production!
Jarl is looking good! Anticipating my getting ahold of that deck.

It's time!
I don’t know whether I should be more scared or excited for Jarl. He’s so cool thematically, but… Oldhim
Kevin played that about as best anyone could have
Hypeee!!
Not even close. Jarl is gonna be a menace, at least in my local armory.
All that extra deck price to power value coming into play

I didn't watch the video yet and I'm guessing dio gets decked. OK let's watch the video now.

@ExCharny Awesome thank you for the clarification. I have this deck and like to learn different ins and outs of it. This helps a lot.
So have we pieced together the armory list yet?

Jarl Vetreideez......
Wooooo
Isn’t Ice Amulet banned in Classic Constructed?
It was when iyslander was legal, no longer is.
Dio - Oh cool a new hero.... wait, why do I hear boss music?
Sure would be nice if the armory decks came with resource dice... just saying...
Doesn’t he need to pay 1 for dios ability on turn 0?
