Something to keep in mind for newer players is the value associated with armor blocks. If I’m blocking with armor I try to make sure it’s blocking “above rate” by preventing an on hit trigger or allowing me to swing tempo.

    Nice explanation.
Would love to see you talking about this during a game. Where you calculate numbers. Tell why you use a card to block instead of keep it to attack and so on.

I gotta say, as a Benji and Arakni main, the value calculations get funky

I've been thinking about this for a while but a bit differently. Mostly about cards that follow the mold of 0 for 4 at red etc. It started when I was looking at sink below and noticed that "shouldn't a 2 cost d react block for 6?".
Just more reasons to enjoy this game.

Could you make a video about how to construct a deck with the pitch value etc.
Do you usually count how much a good turn would cost and then reverse engineer the count of blue/ yellow cards?

deckbuilding pitch values is probably my weakest skill as a player. i often netdeck an existing list then work backwards to keep a good ratio. its very deck dependent of course. fai for instance wants early game hands that are above rate with the knowledge that 2nd cycle will be much lower (with the game plan to either win or lose by then). likewise guardian wants to go to 2nd cycle because they often have above rate turns compared to their opponent at that stage in the game

I don’t know why everyone makes this so confusing, just add the numbers on the card when evaluating different scenarios.
Then you pick the options that give you the highest sum. That is the optimal play.
