Well I purchased a shapermint cami in an XL and it did not smooth me out. I wear a size 16 in jeans/slacks and a L-XL in tops. I don’t like my tops to show back fat nor do I want muffin top. This cami didn’t smooth my back fat out nor did it make my stomach look super flat like some of the women who actually appear larger than me in their videos. I received a free panty which I ordered XL in black yet they sent me beige. You can’t return the panty. I personally was disappointed. I have pictures of me in the cami. There are women who upload video showing how much room they have in their pants. It didn’t smooth me out. I was disappointed. If it works for others then that’s good. I will be returning mine.
I'm 5'6" and 135 lbs and I tried a cami in medium. It was such a struggle to put on that I had to Google instructions! Digs in my underarm so tight that it created another set of boobs! Returning... as soon as I can figure out how to get it off (ب_ب)

That is definitely a personal choice- you can absolutely not wear a bra if you are comfortable because the camis hold it all in 😊!
Yea definitely have to wear a bra this cami is not a conceal type there is no bra type insert. + it really flattened my top not help any
