I hope you did not park at the observatory at 15-20$ and hour, but parked and hiked from the southside of the park, where Greek theatre and Roosevelt golf course are located. It's no fun if you don't do a little hike. I pretty much know almost every trail in that park. Keep on.

I miss when there was free parking or when you could park on the hillside
