It is naive to imply that the military was helpless and failed to protect its installations against PTI activists on 9th. May 2023. We need to understand that the former operates under the government's orders and not independently. Riot control is the responsibility of the civil administration. The latter could have called for the military to provide support as ''aid to civil power' which it didn't. In the circumstances, the military had no lawful cause to initiate action. The proper course should have been to impose a curfew and call for assistance from the military. Even in that case, the latter would have acted only under order orders from the local civil administration if the rioters failed to disperse. The situation was professionally handled by the civil administration.
No military let it happen.. becoz otherwise they have come face to face with public that was what pti wanted so they stayed calm and decided to take it on once pti is done.
