Both, you have more than one.... But first I want to have an in depth longer term test with a followup of your professional opinion on fixable weaknesses. And tell us about maintainability.
You should watch the Vid just out by Letsdig18 where he demonstrates a newer small digger with a 22Hp diesel and rejiggered hydraulic controls that FIXES all the herky jerky controls that the gas models come WITH !
if you have a spark plug that's carboned up or wet with gas, use starting fluid to blow it out. Fastest way to dry out a wet plug and if you scrape a little carbon, hold it electrode side down and ether is the fastest way to flush out the carbon.
It's a single cylinder engine, and on the "R" models, it's a Chinese Rato 420cc engine. Basically just a certified Honda clone of sort, same as a harbor freight engine, really. I bought 2 of the FF15's that have the Briggs, sold one for enough to pay for both the machines. Love the one I kept!! Jerky little thing though, could really benefit from some flow control valves.
(As a high school cheer…hehehe) Robert, Robert he’s our man… if he can’t do it, no one can! Sorry…I just find it refreshing to see his generation actually wanting to do real work. (I will be 65 this coming March) 👍👍❤️
I have one, different maker and design of the cab and controls but pretty much everything else is the same. It beats a shovel and a wheelbarrow hands down. I also have a Chinese gas-powered wheelbarrow that pairs real well with this for around the plantation. Slow and jerky but they will lift over 1K if you do it right. They have a problem with the tracks, the slack adjuster will strip out - it is just a threaded rod through a slab of 3/8ths plate that fits into a pocket in the idler.
Ouch, they go for about 2500- $3000 new in MN on marketplace. With cab for 3k… I bought a Chinese attachment for my skid and it broke first day, I’ll never buy that junk again.
Hey Quinton !!! Did you check to see if there is a warranty on those machines as Clint (C & C EQUIPMENT ) stated that there are NONE on any of those machines at Richie Bros. !!! Hope they work to your advantage for sure !! 👍👍👍👍👍
You gotta swap some hoses around to get controls switched over from Deere\backhoe (SAE) to Cat(ISO). Figure out which hoses are diing what and seich them to the other side. Try to Google it, I'm sure someone has done a video on swapping it over, or a forum post.... these are getting very popular over here so its been done many times. Nice toys to play with, im6sure you can make some money renting them out...and now you got the 'new' Cummins to deliver it to the renters too for a few extra $$ delivery fee!😅
I love the wording and spelling on mine. Use contrels to moving fonward. Don't over pressing walve contrels for damaging. Lol 😆 Yaw have fun Be carefully 😊
I bought a Chinesium Alaska chainsaw mill a few years ago. It had three different pictures on the packaging and the instructions weren't for the one in the box so I'm not judging. Made er chooch. Expecting quality from people who are in literal slavery to bring us cheap product may be a bit much.
I've eyeballed those little buggers a few times. I'm so skeptical of the quality, I have not pulled the trigger! I only have a half acre to play with, and no huge projects, a cheap unit is kinda what I need. Until I pull the trigger, I'll keep borrowing from buddies!
You just fill the oil until it overflows out of the plug. Many small engines are like that. Not unusual at all. That's just a copy of a Honda small engine. If you get an oil plug off of a Honda small engine of the same size it will have a dipstick.
So it's a lawn mower engine, LOL. No sight glass for the oil, just fill it until it starts to run out of the filler hole where you took the orange plug out. Would love to see a durability test on it. LOL
These he bought are trash, better versions of these are Miva or AGT, also, hydraulic pumps this small do not require high horsepower or even diesel power, a small gas motor is all that's needed to power the pump which does all the work, don't even need to throttle up past 1/4 to provide all the power the little machine needs, people knock these but they can be really good units with some small upgrades
I just went to Home Hardware in Canada and bought a shovel has the same amount of grease nipples lol and I can at least get parts I feel so bad for these people 😢
@@lastguy8613 Simple he has a lot of customers that likely ask him about it. Plus his are always at job sites and rarely at home. I know he does work on his property when he has the time which is usually when no machines are available. I looked at the price and they weren't bad. More than what these are but you are getting more plus available parts and service.
2200 on temu, same thing , and its a clone briggs n stratton wait till you search for parts. lol epic clone failure for me. it works lol . just the motor is junk clone fake cc displacement , been fun tinkering and no customer service at all. fake , actually the long dong model motor is better honda clone

You and Casey should have a rockem sockem robot fight with them
You and LaDelle will buy anything!
Obstacle course race. Mud, sand, ice, hill climb, bridge build and cross. Now you need flashing lights on them. Where is the cup holder?
I'd really like to pick one of those up just to use around the house. I honestly don't have any need for it, but it would be fun to play with.
Is it a $4k machine or a $7k machine? Confusing as you stated both prices.
I bought mine for $4k on GovPlanet. With fees, close to $5k
I think 4 is what he paid but 7 is a more normal price.
contact me. $4K is ok.
After growing up around yellow iron it cracks me up seeing the green boys be soo gentle

Welded up in India by those sandal guys 😂 😂
Definitely something like that haha
You have to call Casey over to do a little competition with the two of them. He has been very interested for a while now when he hits up the auction.

Time for Caseay to come and have a whack at these lol For small laand owner these could be a good option.

Lol this was hilarious 😂
We have a little 0.8t yanmar at work, these small machines are stong for there size but a litle wild in the hydraulik , they work great with hammers
they say the diesel machines are less jumpy and contankerous as the gas engines.
The new chinese diesel machines sell for about as much as a used bobcat with 3-5k hours. Id take the bobcat, atleast the gas ones are super cheap

Now I know who’s selling the two parked out on the Madras highway.
You will find an oil dipstick on the other side of the engine.
Absolutely love mine, saves my back! Would love to see what there limits are!!!
I can't wait to see some old iron cold starts and see if these can start better

Definitely NO WARRANTY hahaha
She got a brake light warranty!
I’m surprised that it swivels. Some of these just have a pivoting boom so you can only throw a little off to the side.
Ether..., mechanic in a can.....LOL
Thanks for the video
They work /barely , if you can stay alive/ for now.
Definitely no safety features
They work fine, actually alot stronger than you would think, add a few upgrades and these csn be good for the money
That was what i said on my review on my channel. “It’s better than a shovel”
its gotta be like a lawn mower an gotta sit it in
Use it as a cherry picker to move stuff around and load. Your trucks
holy cow 2k pds a classic car weight more then that, niceee
Sounds like my generator LOL
The choke is never set to close all the way from the factory on these.

Beats a #2 shovel.........Maybe.....LOL......I think I'll just rent something next time I need one.
I mean there cheap but beats a shovel/spade and saves ya back
I think the counterweight on that forklift weighs more than this mini excavators
Yes, better than using a shovel. All day, long, 4000
LETSDIG18 Just put out a video on an american made one which is kind of awesome.

Partially correct, these can be ordered with Parker pump and Eaton motors, straight from China.

Hi, I have a question, can you help me buy this excavator for $2000?
no sight glass. fill till it over flows its full
I wonder if a harbor freight motor will fit on that machine.
I think it would no problem
Yes. Most of these have RATO engines (honda clone), RATO also makes engines for HF, aka Predator.
Don't give trash away put it in the BIN!😅😅-~~Cris

If I had the money I would buy one.
Chinese excavators are cheap, maybe you can buy it.
See what that mini thing will pull .. we know it won't be much ...
Death trap. Will stick to my 30 ton.Almost got dead twice with these small machines.

Put in the bed of the dodge
Good idea
Reminds me of a Casey video😅
I just wonder why these have a Briggs/Scrap-iron instead of a Chinese engine on them. Or is it a fake B&S?
Mine's a fake B&S (a Rato clone)
Letsdig18 got one that was revamp in the US with a diesel engine and it has a hydraulic thumb. I bit nicer but more expensive.
I just think for the cost you pay for a new Chinese diesel you would be better off just getting a used japanese machine. Especially for resale value
Yeah I saw that, wonder how much he was paid to make that vid?
And why he thought it would be a good idea to do so

Not even good enough for my vegi garden. Digging by hand is far quicker and much easier to start.
You didn't say if it would dig a small ditch to be able to bury cable or pipes! I'd think that would be of value to someone 😉
A bump for.the bots.
Y'all two boys have absolutely no clue how to work on small engines. I was screaming at the TV
Surprised that you didn't see a coke or pepsi labels inside those cheesy exterior panels. Proves that you get what you pay for eh?

No scrap it.
There at the dollar store in Canada up north lol god help us
You could take one of your real machines and try how far you can throw them. Or better just go back to the Jeep.
