You, sir, are a freakin' genius. You helped me solve my problem in the most unexpected way and using the most unusual utensils. I have a clx-4195N and it worked like a charm.

Solved my father’s in law printer problem on a Samsung CLX-4195FN. Was easier than I thought after watching the videos. Thanks a lot!

I knew about the top solenoid fix, but hadn't know there was another one on the bottom until I got the "paper jam" error, without any paper being stuck. Showing where to cut out that section on the bottom made all the difference. Thanks!

This fix worked for my printer. I used a Dremel with sawblade to make the hole, which works even quicker and neater.

Hello mate, thanks a lot, I fixed it. I heated up a thin knife and cut the plastic mould with it, needed to warm heat up the knife few time to cut the square bit. but it was pretty easy to do so that way. I also patch up the hole after work with a tape.
    Clapping for you.

Your method actually fixed my CLX-4195FW FALSE paper jam alert! I did it this morning and it took less than an hour. Btw - the foam pieces were far less sticky and tacky than I had expected. Only modification I did was to use a mini side cutter for cutting out the plastic. I am very happy to have a working laser printer again!
There's tons of instructions online how to find the jammed paper. But what if you can't find any jammed paper? You are the only one who adresses the FALSE 'paper jam' message and gives correct advice on how to deal with it.
I tried to visit your gratitude Paypal site - but unhappily Paypal says 'nothing was found at this location'. Maybe you could fix this, too?
    Best wishes from Germany!

Great video, was able to fix my printer. Any idea about where I could download firmware for this model nowadays? I don't expect new firmware, but I think mine has factory-issue, and I could use the AirPrint update from years ago. Thanks again!

A quicker fix without the superglue is to put a piece of scotch tape over the flapper cushion. I put the tape around the entire flapper and it works fine

David, I prefer to come up with repairs that lean towards the permanent side rather than temporary. The original foam (that failed) is put on with double sided scotch tape which leads to this problem. Covering it with the same material means you will just have to revisit and do the repair again after 1 winter/summer period. Flooding the foam with super glue creates structure to the foam and binds it to the metal plate better. During the heat of summer the foam slides around on the metal plate from its original home position as the glue softens and the pressure of the spring creates a pushing action against the foam. All Samsung HP and Canon printers suffer this problem. You will never get a problem of this with a Brother brand printer as their engineers identified this problem 15-20 years ago and stopped producing printers with this paper feeding method. Year after year and even right now I can go to a retail store (someone else's not mine)buy a new hp canon or samsung printer and you will find this method for paper feeding inside. It creates planned obsolescence for the printer and I am showing all it takes is 1 drop of superglue to foil the corporate psychopaths plans for manipulating society by selling printers with problems built in from the factory. (I woke up this morning to find your message with a splitting headache and craving coffee).
