Remembering the cockle women

The first of the 10 films, the one that started me off! I filmed the families of the Cockle women of Penclawdd, Crofty and Llanmorlais. These women, the Cockle women, are soo inspiring. They were out there, doing their own thing, at a time when traditionally women didn't earn their own money. Seeing the way these incredible women stood in their own right is so inspiring.
The film, photos and artefacts are currently on exhibition 'Cockle women remembered' in Swansea museum.
