    Great video I must say. One of the best I’ve seen from POV perspective.The fact you went in to the pack to split the reds up, resembles the type of shot you would play in a match.

    Firstly, who the hell dislikes this video?????? 24 people should be ashamed of themselves!!! My best break in snooker many years ago was 60 something, 67 i think, cant remember and only a couple of 50 + but I was not bad back in my day. playing a computer game of snooker, I had a 141 but this? ...... I dont know how may takes this took you to do and I dont care if it was a thousand, getting a 147 is perfection in snooker, and to do this on camera like you have and to describe all your shots is better than the 147s I have seen in professional play on TV, thank you for this amazing video, are you a pro? because you really should be, I have watched snooker for years, since early 90,s and played for years in the 90,s 2000,s ... you should be playing as a pro

      @Sasa_snooker  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thank you, Nolonger Matters for your comment!
      It’s interesting that the number of dislikes can be seen. Since I'm a relatively unknown Japanese player, I guess some people assume I edited the video to make it look like I achieved the 147. Also, if you press the like button 2,000 times, you might accidentally hit the dislike button right next to it, so I don't pay too much attention to that.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      And to clarify, I’m not a professional, nor am I at a professional level. I attempted this video countless times to get it right, but if a main tour pro were to try, they could easily achieve this level of play in just a few attempts during practice.
      By the way, from the moment the 15th black went in perfectly, I got really nervous.😓

  • @Geekermo
    @Geekermo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    Your videos are always relaxing to me. Do you always apply some bit of intentional side? With which idea? Positioning , potting, helping with cushion?

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I use side spin for the following purposes:
      1. To alter the angle when the cue ball rebounds from the cushion.
      2. To slightly change the line after the cue ball contacts the object ball.
      3. To stabilize the run of the cue ball and make it easier to pot.
      Among these, I intentionally control side spin for purposes 1 and 2, with 1 being the most crucial. However, for purpose 3, I apply it unconsciously, and as you can see in the video, it's only a small amount within the range that doesn't affect 1 and 2 significantly.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Regarding purpose 3, I believe it's something that varies from person to person, whether they use it or not. For reference on this aspect, please check out the following videos:
      th-cam.com/video/Dfo_2qAXnaw/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=BarryStarkSnookerCoach
      th-cam.com/video/WS7wtFQyf5g/w-d-xo.html&ab_channel=MichaelHoltSnookerCoaching

    • @Geekermo
      @Geekermo 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@Sasa_snooker Thank you for your extensive answer! I still struggle with unintentional side (not seeing correctly the centre ball), so I understand how hard is to put intentional side for the purposes you describe.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      When trying to hit the cue ball at its center, unintended side spin can have a significant impact. However, by initially aiming to apply a slight amount of side spin, even if there's some error in the side spin, the direction of the spin remains consistent. This offers the advantage of minimizing the impact of any errors.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I believe the striking point in this scene wasn't quite at 2 o'clock. I think it was more around 1 o'clock. However, it might be slightly to the right of the indicated striking point. Since the striking point is added in post-production editing, there are occasional mistakes.

      Thank you for your comment!
      Regarding cue action, this is just my personal perspective, but I believe that achieving the desired speed and spin of the cue ball with minimal movement leads to stability.
      By minimal movement, I mean within the range where the cue smoothly accelerates, decelerates, and stops.
      If the movement is too small, it can lead to abrupt acceleration and deceleration, making it unstable as the body cannot support it.
      However, since this sensation may not be understood from the beginning, if teaching from scratch, I would recommend starting with larger movements.

      Many players and coaches have already made a lot of videos on shot techniques, so creating something clearer than theirs would be challenging, and I think it would be more efficient for you to watch their videos.
      As for making videos on break building tailored to the player's level, I have considered it, but I thought that POV videos of open table and lineup would be sufficient. I will think about it if I have the time.

    This is excellent! I have a question: Does not cueing straight result in less backspin? Like the cue ball doesn't screw back as far because I don't cue straight.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you for your comment! Explaining the spin on the cue ball can be a bit complex, but generally, cueing straight tends to generate more spin, and you can also achieve greater shot power. Thinking in terms of the vector of force might make it clearer. When you don't cue straight, the force transmitted from the cue to the ball becomes weaker. Also, it's harder to stabilize the impact point, making it challenging to achieve the desired amount of spin.

    • @bp3387-j5w
      @bp3387-j5w ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sasa_snooker That's an excellent explanation. I have one last question, do you put weight on your left hand (your bridge hand) like do you put weight into the table or you just place it on normally.

    • @Sasa_snooker
      @Sasa_snooker  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The bridge hand is not applying full force, but I do put some pressure onto the table. The force direction is not straight down but more like pushing toward the direction the cue is heading. This helps stabilize the body significantly when taking a shot. Just having a stable body can make it easier to apply backspin. However, some people prefer to keep the bridge hand relaxed, so it's worth trying different approaches to find what suits you best.
