Its hard to overestimate just how much of an achievement this is in this particular style of the game. Shaun has definitely cemented his name in the history books with this break.

One of the greatest 147s ever. Basically in control practically all the way, in this format, with all that noise and the shot clock. Just to be able to make a 147 in less than the total frame time in the shoot-out format is incredible, let alone being actually able to handle the unique noisy atmosphere of the event. I see the Ronnie bros are already out in full force trying to spin this achievement as something small. Of course, everybody who knows their snooker know that this is one of the greatest single-frame performances in history. And yes, Ronnie O'Sullivan is still the greatest snooker player of all time. Relax.

Ronnie's was helped by the ref. They move behind the player nowadays, slowing down picking the colours out the pockets. Even Ronnie says the ref helped with that break.

Truly magician stuff! Shaun is class on and off the table. Love hearing him talking in interviews and punditry, the best there is for me. He's had a 147 break , 9 dart finish and a hole in one at golf. Impossible challenge for 99%.

In my view that is the best frame of competitive snooker that we have ever seen. The balls didn't run well, and the balls got more awkward as the 10-second timer kicked in. To make some of those deep screw shots in that contest is quite incredible.
Not only is Shaun a gifted player he’s also a great showman . He is the only player who stays connected with his audience despite huge pressure on him. One of a kind!
Brilliant achievement from a genuinely nice guy. Remember then the UK was played in Telford some years ago & someone was needed for a BBC piece referencing the local Children's Hospice. Shaun represented WST & has since also donated via his winnings Money for the Children's Hospital in Manchester (when he was a resident of Sale, He may still do, Unsure) A Wonderful Human Being, Totally genuine & selfless. So pleased for him. If ROS can't win, Always want to see Shaun do well.

It’s a format that really suits his game. When he’s in the flow he’s as talented as anyone. When he has too much time he can lose concentration and make mistakes. Amazing performance.
