What I remember about Mormon Liberal Eugene England is that, at one point in his exchange with a called and ordained special witness, Bruce R. McConkie, England promised to stop teaching his pet theory of the eternal progression of God. Then upon Elder McConkie's death, he promptly broke his promise, and resumed teaching his theory. So much for the value of the man's word. It seems "intellectual honesty" trumps any other kind of honesty.
