The word “shredder” is so degrading. He’s one of the most talented players and musicians ever. Shredding isn’t music, it’s technique, and it sucks without meaning behind it.
@@Jordanguitar Totally agree with you. Jason could combine his incredible shredding techniques with beautiful ideas and phrasing in many different styles and genres of music He could play slow or shoot hundreds of notes fast and precisely but at the same time make every single one count and sing! I can not recall many that can do that...
Jason's the shit but I would also put Guthrie Govan up there among the supreme top of the tops. Probably Shawn Lane too. Vai, Satriani, Malmsteen etc, sure, they are gods but I'm talking SUPER SAIYAN gods here
This is a shred version.. This is the speed you have to play it at to match Jason. I've never heard a youtuber play it at this speed and without a backing track.
@@tmacinsanity4832 Really?? Why the hell on earth are you buying a struggle to what Leon Versie said about Jason Becker on a very rare sound footage of Jason Becker himself??… I completely agree with what Versie said about Becker, as well as of course we ALL know that music as a foundation is quite established centuries ago. So what?? Have you ever heard of compliments??… Or tributes??… Guess not.
Blatantly obvious that a God like Jason could outplay himself anytime he wants up to like 300%, while us mere mortals try to match the speed from the record and fail miserably...He literally plays safe in the record.
That's absolutely insane! You see guys who have learned and play this at regular here on TH-cam and It's technically just out of this world. Only Jason would be capable of playing a piece like that at that speed. Just imagine witnessing him playing it live right in front of you.....

@@NoName-ql1wk I highly doubt Jason realized this was even being recorded and there are no accompanying drums to keep time so it wasn’t meant to stay “in time” like you’re suggesting. Yes it’s faster than the album version but to say it sounds terrible is a bit harsh don’t you think? Not sure if you are a fan of Jason or just trolling but that guy was a virtuoso while he could play.
@@NoName-ql1wk Shows the intellectual that I am? So you’re assuming I have no knowledge of music…awesome ok. Well for your information I’ve won guitar contests and played in a band for many years as well as recorded and toured so I absolutely understand that you don’t need drums to play along with in order to keep time. I mean this debate is silly and there’s no need to insult one another over this. All I’m saying is Jason’s playing in this clip wasn’t supposed to be keeping with any timing he was just playing a passage from one of his songs. I just don’t think your comment was fair that it sounded terrible. As far as any of his live clips, from what I’ve heard I think they all sound good. Also need to take into consideration the quality of live recording and amps used at that time which would have all been back in the 80’s. A lot of factors going on here.
The most talented shredder ever lived on planet earth period.
Such a talent, god of sweep picking and neoclasical beautiful phrasing.

When your hands can play the licks before your brain can even think of playing the licks.
It's very difficult to play that and it does it faster than on the amazing CD. Amazing
And even harder to play each note so clearly with the amount of distortion he used
I've always loved the part between 0:00 and 1:06.
best part starts at 0:58
What the fuck is it double time???? JASON IS SO CRACKED WTFFF

he is the best of all time 🤘
There's a probability this wasnt even Jason's max speed 💀
Amazing that 30 years after Jason was forced to stop playing, there are STILL unheard clips emerging!
Who else could play this CLEAN with the insane amount of distortion that Jason used?
Allan Holdsworth.
Shawn lane
Jason Richardson
Guthrie Govan
Jeff Loomis
If Jason (the God) Becker was still able to shred like that He would have broken so many foundations that we consider music today
Wrong. No doubt he is a wonderful musician but music as a foundation is way, way back in time. More respect to millions of great musicians, okay?

You can tell it's the pearl purple guitar too. Such a distinctive tone.

How is this humanly possible? Talk about having a freak nervous system. Jason is still the fucking man!
big hands, fast twitch muscle fibers in his forearms, nervous system of a wild predator and i suppose some practice too
@@palbo7871 only a little practice though
Hard to believe he could do these things back then, a once in a lifetime prodigy

I've posted more from him in last days! check out my channel 🤘

completely amazing
I refuse to believe this audio isn't sped up! :O Unbelievable!
My god I thought the studio version was fast, and I hear I am learning it at like half speed and lower
What a fucking animal
I can’t even comprehend how to play the intro lick at album speed, let alone this … I wish I could play 1/10 as good as Jason
its definitely his tone. if its not him, its as close as someone else can come

i really wanna learn the intro to this.
Marty said it best when he referred to Jason as a modern day 'composer'.
He was just getting started 😞
Amazing!
Insane 🔥🔥🔥🥲

master of masters
The only man who can play it Jeff Healey style ;)
This man is a genius, pure and simple. Best guitarist ever to grace this earth.
Y lo está tocando con un tempo más rápido que el original...diablos Jason..ud era diabólico jaja
His little finger is longer than my arm.
He was bored..so he double the normal speed 😂
WOW!
number 1
Why oh why REH or any of the instructional videos companies didn´t aproached Jason to make a guaranted top selling video?
the closest we can get to that is his clinic on Atlanta 89', it's on youtube
That is undeniably Jason
This is insane wtf? He’s playing it faster than album
Holy shit
