Everything is sad about this video, I hope Jason is doing ok, I never was a fan of either, but respect the virtuosity, I'm just a struggling player that been playing since the early 90s
Brings me an indescribable pain in my heart that Jason didnt get to share more of his gift with the world he really is one of the greatest to ever do it.
Same, such a tragedy. His solo albums are incredible when you consider his only form of communication was his *eyes*. "Beginning of the end" never fails to make me tear up. Jason Becker is a musical giant.
From the interviews and books I've read, he's a great guy with a big heart. Alcohol can take the nicest person on Earth and turn them into a monster. As soon as Eddie went sober, his true good-hearted self came out. We were always seeing him in the news for his charitable contributions and for making up with old friends. That's the Eddie I wish to remember.
I'm a "poor" widowed disabled single dad who's been on dialysis for almost 20 years now. If I had deep enough pockets I'd make sure I won the bid for this epic piece and give it right back to Jason to do with as he wishes. Keep it, auction it again or whatever. I bought and watched Not Dead Yet on Saturday 12/9/21 and the heavy rock music world was robbed when Jason was as well. He was such an amazing musician and what he's done in his life as a composer is nothing short of amazing as well! God bless & Godspeed to Jason Becker! 🤘🏼🎸🤘🏼
I am so sorry to hear about your mom i had a serious situation when my mom came down suddenly with dementia and i moved my mom up to the small mountain town i was living and running my small business in . It was the best 4 and a half years i spent with my mom in many ways until the disease progresses to the point they cant take care of even the basic functions of living and i had to be the parent in several ways . My mom was diabetic and i could see the correlation between blood sugar levels and certain behavior. I know ALS is severe at any stage but stage 6 sounds bad best of luck hope you can be with your mom somehow as much as possible .
Eddie had this charm and the smile and the style that made you want to know as much as you can about him. Even more than his guitar playing but as a person.I remember when all we had was the guitar magazines and mtv videos to see him. I remember when he did that interview and video with Valerie on network tv. I waited all week in anticipation for the show. He's always been my favorite player and hero. Love seeing this. As a player, I love watching Eddie and his mastery of the guitar. The Jason Becker documentary also really impacted me. It’s tragic that someone with such a love for guitar and his mastery to have it taken away. Prayers for Jason.
EVH, was a great man, and a great friend! I remember seeing Jason playing ridiculous things on a guitar, whilst playing with a yoyo! Absolutely outrageous talent! God bless, and keep you safe! 🙏
Wild to see Eddie nervous and not sure what to play. It's an awkward setting though when you're sitting in a room with people watching you as opposed to being on stage. There's no other guitar player that I have looked up to so much as this man. To imagine that Rolling Stone put him at number 8 for it's 100 greatest guitarists of all time.
