The Series 8 is very comfortable on the wrist. I have the red/blue gmt. Definitely look for a discount. Nobody should pay the inflated retail price! The movement is apparently a Citizen reserved version of the Miyota 9 series with better timekeeping and 8 hours more power reserve. I don’t know about that, but mine keeps great time and is a nice traveling companion.
The link doesnt work, I also tried to search for the 890 steel with blue dial but only versions available are the gold and the limited one. Could you please check?
I really really want to like this, and i almost do, but i do have a couple of issues with it (and it's not the price. i'd sell a watch or two for this if it didn't have the problems. Citizen are great and better than most in this price bracket. if Seiko has relatively basic sports watches in this price range, i don't see why Citizen can't. at least they can align a bezel) 1. no lume on the internal bezel. minor issue, but irritating on something that looks like a dive watch 2. no locking of the bezel crown. just make it push-pull like the 'main' crown. another minor issue 3. and this is a big issue for me: the bezel and bezel/dial proportion. i.e. in their hardest effort to look like a Genta watch without looking to much like a Genta watch, they, imho, made the bezel too thin and boring, which brings down the overall design a bit too much. everything else is so interesting and has stuff going on, that the thin brushed uneventful octagonal bezel looks like an afterthought and like it doesn't belong there i mean, i get it. if they put screws in it, it would look waaay too much like a RO Offshore, but their 'compromise' makes it look off. imo, at least if they ever make a V2 or something with a more interesting bezel, definitely getting one
could y''all help me. I don't anything about watches, is citizen a respectable brand? I know people hate omega, so i'm wondering if maybe citizen is a brand people stay away from.
It's more about the watch itself. Few brands are really that consistent, especially major ones covering multiple markets like Citizen. And to answer you, yes they're pretty much one of the most respected brands in the world. The reason you might hear otherwise is because their american line is entirely different and purposefully meant to be cheap/ugly mall watches because they know americans buy that garbage. in europe and especially Japan they sell some amazing watches. Look up Citizen nb1060-04a, nb1060-12L, nb1062 as well as their "The Citizen" line with washi paper that is grand seiko level. This watch here is absolutely top quality, the issue is that it's not worth $1600 even by Citizen's own admission. It's $900 worldwide MSRP but in america it is purposefully $1600 because they're hoping americans will do what they usually do and just buy based on hype and trying to look like they're rich and have a royal oak. So if you like this watch it is 100% worth $800-900 new. It's technically not even the worst deal at $1600 in comparison to how bad other watches can still be at that price but I wouldn't ever pay more than $1000 for this kind of watch imo...People pay a lot more for royal oak homages though and this is oak, nautilus, offshore, etc...
@@WILMORENO This whole "only watch nerds care about your watch" is getting really annoying. No literally everybody who is socially adept cares about your watch because it is a fashion accessory and apart of your outfit. If it looks bad people will think you look bad and vice versa. It may not be even conscious where some girl is thinking "wow his watch's dial is too busy", she'll just think you look "off". Also women absolutely do try to assess your status and wealth...the same way they barely know anything about cars doesn't mean that a good car won't impress them...and even if it doesn't let's say, it'll impress men and getting men's appreciation (which should be valuable in it of itself but for some reason you redditors like to act like that's not important and seem proud of calling yourselves nerds in some self-deprecating way that's fairly odd) will also increase women's attraction because the respect of other men is status which is by far the most important thing a man can have. And I guarantee you a random orient bambino is going to impress most people more than a rolex because nearly any random japanese dress watch looks better than the hideous divers you guys obsess over and drop 10s of 1000s for. Go watch any video on "my girlfriend reviews my watches" and see how any "grail" outside of grand seiko is considered an abomination.
@user-tx4wj7qk4t he asked a question about the brand. You're entitled to your own dumbass opinion, but it is wrong. Next time learn how to answer someones question instead of ranting like an angry child
Nice looking watch but the price is way too high imo. They aren’t offering anything unique at that price. Standard 8000 series miyota. Good finishing but that’s not worth 1000$
Actually a really good looking watch! Obviously its a nautulius knockoff but i wouldnt mind owning one! The lack of screw in crown and useless inner bezel that doesnt lock and has zero lume means that its just an everyday watch that pretends to be a diver so ill pass😟
I have some Citizen's, and love the brand. While this watch, looks really cool, it seems way overpriced for what it is, and seeing the heavy inspiration, from the Spinnaker Dumas, i would just buy one of those, and save a bucketload of money.

This watch looks really good on your wrist !!!
Fantastic looking piece. Watching like a hawk for a discount 25-30%. Great vid.
Doxa meets Royal Oak meets Formex baby reef with some Seiko dial thrown in for good. Measure. One stop shop for every watch that everyone wants.
i have a few citizen eco drive, proper tool watch. i struggle to see the market for these series from citizen.
Looks really good, too bad the bezel doesn’t have a lock function.
Looks good 👁️👁️
Nice looking watch, however it needs to be 37 or 38mm to fit my wrist size.
Looks good, I like integrated bracelets and Citizen, it's rather expensive though!
The link doesnt work, I also tried to search for the 890 steel with blue dial but only versions available are the gold and the limited one. Could you please check?
No lume on seconds hand. 😮
I don't think its a miyota movement but citizens in house. Thats why its got the extra anti-magnetic properties.

Looks like a nautilus and a royal oak had a baby.
Omg, using that poity hand is so damn cute!
I like it.
very nice looking watch but imo the price is steep for citizn

Omega is one of the most loved brands around the world…

I have tried these on at my local AD. They are very nice and I’m not keen on integrated bracelets. I have 8” wrist fyi.
It is a homage of the alpina extreme. Looks very chunky though.
Alpina is owned by Citizen 😂

9051, not 8000 series
@@lookatwrist you’re right. Another video said it was the 8000 series. Doesn’t change a whole lot for me though.
Luxury G Shock.
In case you are not already familiar with Casio's stylistically similar but cheap offering, check out EFR-S108D-2AVUEF.

Really nice design but at this price point the bracelet should be screwed links with micro adjust.
lmao severely overpriced.
