    After a few more days of use, I wanted to add in: This machine is still great and I am very happy with it. The truth is, this is NOT a machine for someone who loves the art of espresso or is a coffee connoisseur. This machine is meant for your average coffee drinker who wants to be able to make cafe style drinks at home without the mess, learning curve, and time/money commitments of a fully manual set up.

      I had a breville barista express, sold it because I hated the frother (took way too long) and hated the mess. Got a jura 4 years ago and although it’s great, the milk doesn’t get hot enough for my liking. Was thinking about downgrading to this machine. Still feeling good about it?

      @daveX81 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      @@kailathatsmeI have the Jura Z10 and I think for Espresso it’s really bad. Problem with all full automatic machines is that they are using plastic brew groups with a brew pressure of 3 bar instead of 9 (don’t get tricked by pump pressure).
      So every portal filter machine is a huge upgrade regarding any espresso drink).
      Will downgrade as well to this machine.

      I would argue that all the reasons that you mentioned that make it beginner friendly are perfectly great. The drip coffee, however, is ass. I just kept my normal drip coffee maker because the Ninja makes horrible drip coffee. Otherwise, I think it does a great job.

    Great video man. I’m coming from a Breville Bambino that I’ve had for several years and it’s done me well. I only drink milk based espressos so am far from an espresso snob. Like you, I love the versatility with this with the cold brew and drip option. I’m becoming more sold on it as reviews slowly keep churning out!

      Bambino owner here as well. I also do not profess to be a barista. But the luxe has a lot of features I would take advantage of. Being able to pour a regular cup of coffee is a plus. i am not very proficient at making lattes, so this machine is perfect for me.

What is the difference between this coffee machine and Philipps Latte-Go and De-Lonchi coffee machines ? Can you write the price of one ? Thanks.

    Mine is coming tomorrow. I love americano's , flat whites and drip coffee. I do wish there was a hot water spout for americanos (weird that they did not incorporate a way for hot water). I have tried, a few times, with the expensive machines, tons of accessories to be "that guy" with espresso. After about a month that wears off and I just want a cup of coffee or a flat white in the morning. Hopefully this does it for me.

    • @jacobarmbrester
      @jacobarmbrester  หลายเดือนก่อน

      Curious how you are enjoying yours? I'd say I'm falling into the category of just wanting a cup of coffee now. While this one technically brews a cup, its a mighty process of set up and clean up for a single cup.

      @@jacobarmbrester Honestly, I had it for a few days and saw the new Breville Oracle Jet with the auto tamping, more drink options, auto dial in, etc and returned the ninja for the oracle jet. Can make a fresh ground cup of americano in about 1 minutes now.

    One thing i always wonder is if u like drip coffee a lot like me and also tend to drink an espresso now and then, do you buy espresso beans or just "normal" ones like crema or something. This machine looks very promising to me :)

  • @NickWebster

    Nice video! Although just a note that you made a cappuccino at the end of your video, a flat white has much thinner (less aerated) foam. It should appear silky like wet paint with no visible bubbles.
    Cappuccinos are still delicious though, I'm glad you're enjoying your new machine :)

    Great review & demonstration. Would you get rid of your pod machine & only use this one? I don't have one of these yet, but considering (but not sure) getting rid of my 2 Nespresso (Original & Vertuo), and a Lavazza. Well maybe I will keep my Nespresso Orginal, but I am trying to declutter plus I am in a small space. I like to change my beans every 3-4 drinks. Can the beans be changed out?

      @@jacobarmbrester Well I finally decided to give a try & did receive it last week. I must say I am really enjoying this. Although I have 3 machines as I stated I am a person that is hard to get rid of certain things all because I work too hard to obtain it. Many of my things are kitchen gadgets & just have a hard time parting ways with any of it. I know it's necessary because of lack of space. I feel that this is a beautiful looking coffee / espresso machine. I do drink coffee but not everyday. Since I have had this I have had an iced cold pressed everyday this long weekend we have had (Labor Day). Instead on Monday I tried a Cold Brew this was strong, but the Cold Press was stronger. It knocked my socks off. I ended up putting a lot of my homemade Oat & Cashew milk in it. I topped every drink with a cold foam. Every drink I attempted to prepare was delicious, but gave me the jitters. I still loved it. I must say that all of the milk frothers I have in my possession this one by far make the best cold foam. There are two things that is a disappointment to me. One is that every time I get something (It doesn't matter what it may be) there is a better model always seems to come on the market with more features. The second one is that this machine has a lot of parts to wash. I am not someone who just rinses and goes. I may rinse just for the moment. Later in the day these things needs to see some soap & water at some point. That is my dislikable moments about this. I always wanted an espresso maker but seemed to be intimidated by it & just could not justify the cost of any of them. I find this to be expensive for my budget. In all it was worth it. I just know that Ninja is going to come out with an upgrade, they always do. I just hope I did not jump on the band wagon too soon.

    Great review! Forgive my ignorance but aside from how it is brewed what is the difference between americano and drip coffee; of course I have tried both, but are they not essentially the same - particularly when using the same beans, machine etc - does the grind make that much of a difference?

      Hey there former barista! Espresso is actually not a type of bean. Any whole bean coffee can be used to make espresso! Espresso is the way the beans are a concentrated shot of the coffee. Espresso takes a particular kind of grind to pull a shot so you want to use whole beans. This machine has a grinder built in! So easy to use
