The 4D chess in Death Note is insane. I only watched the series a few months ago but it has quickly become one of my favorite series of all time. It was the first time in a mystery series where the characters were actually smarter than the audience. It was so cool.
You just KNOW that if the animé had done something similar to this, that's exactly what they'd pull to not have the animé end right then and there lmao. Internally he'd probably say that and then just laughs it off out loud playfully
I mean if kira is seeking attention it’s kind a a trait I would imagine a gay man would desire… a “sigma” would be trying to either gain self approval or maybe use the DN in such a way to gain female attention but light doesn’t use it in such a way. Overall the psychological profile of Kira can’t be used to determine the sexual nature of Kira but lights actions could be inferred in such a way which might make Kira seem gay
Kira has no problem killing people they think deserve it, so the type of person to be Kira would likely have felt alienated from society or been bullied since those situations often lead to feelings of hatred and revenge for bad people. Being gay could easily lead to either of those things, especially in a place like Japan and in a position like Light’s (very successful in school, son of a respected detective), so Kira might not be gay, but if Light did admit to L that he was gay, it definitely wouldn’t help his case.

I love the inclusion of the common salesman tactic where they get you to say "yes" to something multiple times then ask the question they really want you to say yes to. Because of how someone have already said yes a bunch they would just feel more comfortable saying yes to the big question at the end. Do you like X? Yes Do you like Y? Yes Do you like Z? Yes Would you like to buy this car? Yes.
I could actually write a small thesis on this one interaction. It works both in the joke of the whole video, but it also works as a logical direction for the conversation, while ALSO keeping the characters rooted in their personalities, even working as an example of L outsmarting Light. Really good stuff.
Honestly it’s actually a really clever question on L’s part. He knows Misa is the second Kira because she is absolutely dreadful at being stealthy about it. The only justification that Light has for being constantly with someone so insufferable would be that he was attracted to her (she really doesn’t have any redeeming qualities). But if you are able to remove that variable then he would have no justification, other than him working with her as Kira or someone working as an accomplice.
1:04 and 1:43 are the two moments that broke me and made me laugh. The first exchange got me with how suddenly L asks "You sure?" Combined with the image of him used. The second got me because the whole exchange was just complete perfection. Dialogue, voice acting, and pictures used, everything was perfect.
