1:12 is a ground explosion nobody is going to just run out from cover and get lit up. That's the whole purpose is try to flush them out with fire. Yet it didn't really burn the tree line that well or has a delayed effect. There was something using that tree line as cover due to the explosion on the ground.

It isn't thermite. It is fuel with a thickening agent added to it. Thermite would melt the agro drone in seconds and is a powder that needs an ignition source that is very hot. You couldn't use thermite in drones like that.
