    Loving this romper suit. Great for learning to walk & crawl without wearing knees out of trousers, doesn't fall down like shorts, perfect, thankyou.

    Thank you for your video tutorial, I spent all day today making this in a light lime green colour for my baby who is due soon.
    Only been crocheting for less than a year and can’t read patterns so videos like this are excellent.

    I cannot get this anywhere near the correct size, my waist is 22 inches, it seems many people are having the same problem, I have been crocheting for over 50 years so I think I might be quite experienced by now 😊 so I need to ask can you please do a tension square with the yarn you used and post the results ?? The info I found says 16-22 sts and 20-30 rows for 10cm, not much help with such a range, knowing what size yours turns out would help us get the size right .... ❤ this pattern and very easy and quick to do

    • @sharongood8133
      @sharongood8133 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      OK, so I did some maths, worked out the tension based on width of waist and length from top of waist to bottom of leg ... tension = 1.85 St's and 1.05 rows = 1cm sq ... I know this is right because I used the same math with the yarn I used and calculated I would be 5 inches larger on the waist which is exactly what I got.... bizarrely the height was out by just 1 row so that's negligible... one yarn I just tested matches almost exactly James C Brett top value DK, my tension, using 3.5mm hook is roughly 1.8 - 1.9 St's per 1cm so I'm now working this project using this yarn .... hope this is of help to someone

    I love your patterns. I wish I could follow them but for some reason I have such a hard time mostly because it comes out too big even though I'm using the right size yarn but I go down on the size of my hook. I don't get it. I follow every other pattern on utube. I think maybe you must be alittle more advanced then most on utube. You are.very talented.

    • @CrochetForBaby
      @CrochetForBaby  3 ปีที่แล้ว

    • @zalunna4232
      @zalunna4232 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mine was turning out large as well. I went down to a 2.75mm hook and found that got me closer to her measurements. I noticed that when she makes her stitches she uses yarn unders on portions which makes for a tighter stitch than you would get if you were to use yarn overs for the whole stitch. So I just kept going down in hook size until I got close to her measurements since I do my stitches differently than she does. Hope that helps everyone! I'm loving the pattern and can't wait to finish mine up!
