Thank you Nora for the tutorial. I had many struggles in doing them in watching other vids but they are not so clear as yours. I had never crochet booties before. A great thank you
Lovely video so easy to follow along, I made a slight adjustment where after 3 rounds of the cuff I flipped the piece inside out then did the final 3 rounds. Then when it’s finished and you flip it back the right way and fold down the cuff you can see the same side of all the stitches 😊
I made two of these and both of them were the same size (I did them one by one) Great pattern, really easy to follow, your instructions were very good and clear. Thank you :) Super easy patter, this would be fantastic for beginners also!

Thank you SO much for this pattern. I’ve started to learn to crochet and been making items for my local hospitals maternity ward. After dropping off my first collection of item they have asked for booties and I stumbled across your video. Can’t wait to give it a go and see how I get on. Thank you once again ❤
I’m testing it out now for a first attempt so will keep you posted. Using a 3mm for newborns so hoping my tension won’t cause this to be too small. Do you know roughly the sole length a newborns should be? X

Hi it’s the same pattern for 3-6 months but use either a 4 or 4.5mm crochet hook or you can use no4 yarn with 4mm . I would try and make the sole in those materials and if the sole is the size you need then. Carry on to make the remaining part of the shoe. Hope that helps ❤
Thank you very much for this video. I just finished a pair and it took me no time at all. Wonderful pattern. BTW, I thought I crocheted quickly but WHOA, you have me beat by 3-4 stitches!
Thank you so much for the tutorial. Love it. Starting to do. Have questions: 1. What if I had an extra stitch or short of a stitch ? 2. If the baby’s feet is much longer ? How do I increase in Stitches ?
Hi there! You can try a bigger hook or yarn no4 for a bigger size. Can not really add stitches as the front part of the shoe which is the flowered disc will be too far away for the ankle. When you say miss a stitch if it’s in a place where it does not visibly warp the shoe then it should be ok 👍
This is my favorite pattern I’ve found so far! Question - when we chain one and are starting a new row, we go in that same existing stitch once more? Is that correct? I feel like I’m adding a stitch doing that so wanted to double check. TIA!
Can you use a 50 % wool, or only acrylic yarn?, I going to try and use some yarn and make booties for the first time, So adorable, thank you for the great video 😊
Hi. This might have already been asked, but I tried to look through all the comments and didn't come up with anything. Do you have a pattern for toddler and child sizes? Or how would I convert this pattern? I'm trying to make for my 3 year old grandson. Thanks so much.
Hi! The biggest I’ve made this bootie is 6-12 months in another tutorial. If you have a look at that one Maybe if you use a thicker yarn and a bigger hook and see what the sole comes up to then continue with the pattern. I would also do extra rows on the cuff fold too. Hope that helps in anyway ❤️
Ugh, I thought I was doing well but the shoe didn't have the right shape when it came to forming the toe. I'm not sure where I'm going wrong but I'm going to try again
The only thing that could possibly be wrong is that you don’t work in to the same stitch for your first half double crochet in the beginning ? ALSO make sure that after you have done first row of working the back loops only after the sole that you slip across before you start the next round and make sure you are absolutely in the centre.
Hi! It’s 34 stitches for last row of the sole. You chain 9, Row 1 - 22 stitches Row2 - 34 stitches. Make sure you put the very first 2DC in the top of the chain 2 that we skipped on the first row. Maybe that is where you are missing the additional 2? Thanks
Gays I need to ask you did it really fit to the new born/ 3 months baby Because it's a gift and the last time I did a tutorial from TH-cam it was a disasters 😢
For me it's the same thing and I used 4mm hook! I followed the pattern and the shape is perfect but the sole is 2.2 inches instead of 3.5! Nothing to do with even a newborns foot! Maybe for a doll?😢
Hi. Sorry about that. Have you tried slowing the tutorial down? I may sound like a robot but you may be able to see better. I will try and do this bootie for absolute beginners. X
This would be much better if you were using a brighter color of yarn some ppl have difficulty seeing stitches on video especially if the yarn is a dark color. I tried yours but had to frog it because it became difficult to see your stitches which made it impossible for me to follow you. Have a good day!
Hi there! The tutorial is In light pink. You can zoom into the picture if there are difficulties to see where I’m placing the stitches and slow the tutorial in playback options. Hope that helps?
Hi the toe part is made up of 2 double crochets together. You start with a double crochet BUT do not complete. Leave 2 loops on your hook before going to the next stitch and doing another double crochet BUT ONLY pull through the first 2 loops . You will remain with 3 loops on your hook and pull through all three. Hope That helps.
