Dont forget that there is a small pack called the g1 I believe that can be inserted in between those two side compartments. It even has the zippers on each side that work with the inner zippers of the warhammer
Great review. The pack already looked awesome before i knew how versitile it is. Now im def sold and cant wait to pick one up. This will be my 3rd eberlestock and def wont be my last. Thanks for the rundown
I sprayed my terminator bag with water proofer and I run a water proof bag insert anyway. For that pack you would want a waterproof duffle bag or something to slide in between. Great pa k. Great brand. Be careful it is heavy and it can easily be over packed. Cheers
I have this pack....love it!!! so many uses and configs. as a chick veteran I wish we had that when I was in....I used the hell out of my alice set up....flat dark earth is the best color as well. nice video, sweet pea:)
Awesome! Have you used your pack a lot? I've taken mine on quite a few camping trips and it still looks great. No problems, even after all the abuse I've put it through. I'm glad you liked the video. Thanks!
***** yes, I have used my pack especially when I wanted to have a campfire at the end of the day. I can put everything in the side pouches then use my pack to carry loose wood for the fire! I have a huge dry bag I can put the trimmed wood in it (in case of rain later on or I just bring my 6 x 8 tarp...lay it out and put the prepped wood on it...I then wrap the wood with the tarp...place it in the center of the warhammer and batten down the hatches (so to speak.) I really need to show how I do that. also, I have carried medium sized coolers & grills along with chairs during the summer and my snow shoes, snow shovels and small grill during the winter. I live in a small town in north eastern Nebraska. sometimes I have used it to carry my groceries in it when the weather was terrible. I even take it to the outdoor shooting range up here. with the molle on the inside of the main area I can put my ammo, cleaning kit, cold water containers, seat, scopes...you name it! I mean it...this thing is just too damn open for business. sooo many configs for whaterever purpose you need it for. think of it...rifle, skis, snowboard inflatable raft/canoe/kayak, emergency response/rescue, maintenance work out the boonies where you gotta bring your gear and tools.... I was looking at the skycrane (at that time it was post skycrane 1 with sc2 being released.) I figured for what I needed it for and the fact that both me and my much taller brother could rock that ruck to our own tune! plus, the price of the sc1/2 killed me...I am looking at inflatable multi-person canoe/kayaks. guess what i'm gonna use to carry it on fishing treks far away from the pavement? yup! btw...did you see the pic of the 2 soldiers in the desert? one dude was strapped into the warhammer....I MEAN INTO the carry compartment of that bad boy and was being lifted by his buddy who was rocking it normal style. the dude said he didn't really have to work hard to carry the weight. so, if it were ever needed you could use the warhammer to carry a wounded/injured person to medical help...or you can use it as a seat to rescue a stranded climber/hiker on a steep hill/mountain...I wonder if anyone has tried that? boss eberle said he carried a 200 lb rock slab with it.... peace out:)
This pack suffers from the same issues that the USMC ILBE does. All of the added versatility comes at the expense of weight (8.5 lbs). Most of your gear is well thought out. The majority of the weight of an axe is in the head, so why choose such a short handle. While you may gain a degree of control you lose the mechanical advantage afforded by a longer handle. Consider trading the pack cover for a large dry bag like the USMC 65L seal line ILBE liner. Great review...liked and subed.
Great vid! You got me considering this bag now. It would help, in your vids, if you wore the bag to give us viewers an idea of how big it sits when on, and where it rides, etc. Sub'ed.
Great video! Can you please tell me if this is an acceptable size for airline carry on, when it's loaded up similar to how you have it at the start of the video?
I found there website earlier and was comparing a few of their bags. I do like all of them other than the fact that I don't think any are completely waterproof. Only thing I don't really care for is having to cover them with a waterproof bag. I wonder how tough that is and how easily it would snag on sticks, sticker bushes while hiking through the rain? :\
clay walker Personally, I haven't found water to be an issue. I live in Washington State and it rains A LOT, but I also use the reversible rain cover. Additionally, I have anything I don't want to get wet in water proof bags inside the ruck sack.
The ALICE frame appears to be removable by unstrapping it and sliding it out the bottom. I haven't attempted to do this though. If it is important, I can try to remove it for you and let you know if it worked. Just let me know if you'd like me to try. As far as the comfort of this bag, I can't say enough about how much I like it. I have used this bag a lot and I have found it to be the most comfortable bag I've ever bought. The cushions on the Warhammer feel really nice. Other bags have rubbed the skin off my back and actually gave me sores after a long ruck, but I have never even had a warm spot (from friction) while using the Warhammer. When the straps are adjusted the cushions are form fitting and don't move when walking. The cushions are breathable and very padded. As far as the frame, I haven't noticed it getting in the way at all or even making the bag uncomfortable. I hope that helps! Let me know if you have any other questions. I'd be happy to answer anything I can.
i am about your size (194cm) but a tad more belly :P the warhammer is a short pack. that beeing said it will work. you have to fit it from hip belt (wich you want.. on the hips) and take it from there. It means it rides a bit lower then what you might be used to. However it allows you to actually look Lover your shoulder easily. but i clearly DO recommend a replacment belt. the one that Comes with it was too short for my liking.
what i like about this is you can by either the camp duffel or dry bag,put your clothes, sleep and shelter system inside that.when you make camp your more orginized
Great pack and good review…I got bad news though…If you stick a rifle scabbard in the pack, your not gonna fool anybody :) your gonna stick out like a sore thumb. Well I guess some people wouldn't know what it is. It's a toned down TAC pack…but tactical nonetheless. Again, good review.

Yeah I have seen that. It looks pretty cool!
I have mine coming, got it for $150. Very happy about this buy
Nice man. Like your style the demonstration helped alot.
I'm glad you liked it! Thanks for the comment.

InNoViSiOn You're welcome. I am a lifetime Eberlestock fan as well. They make some unbelievable stuff!

It really seems to be the Skycrane without the Little Brother in it.
Will either get the Jackhammer or the Halftrack for myself.
Let me know how that goes!
this is on my wish list !
Good vid and review, well done, thanks for posting

I haven't seen the picture of the guy strapped into the Warhammer, but I can see how that could work. For all the reasons you listed, I love this bag!

Just bought this bag but why is the bottom bar at a weird angle?

Thanks for the advice! I will start doing that in these videos from now on. Also, thanks for subscribing!
Great review
Very informative review. Very nice and thanks.
+Vizzy Viz. I'm glad you liked it. I've got another review on the Gunslinger II over here: th-cam.com/video/Vhf5k41CVQw/w-d-xo.html
Already watched it and think The Gunslinger II is what Im going with. Thanks again for a great review on that as well. Take care
does it come with the frame?
thanks

Robert Mrkusich I would go with the Eberlestock Little Brother pack

any good recipes for spaghetti?
Is the ALICE frame removable? and if not how much does the side parts bother you?

Yes please do try to see if its removable.
Jamil Parra Okay, I will try it this weekend when I get a chance. I'll let you know how it goes.
Thanks!
Jamil Parra I got a little busy this weekend and didn't get a chance to mess with the Warhammer. I will check it out tomorrow after work.
I'm 6'3' and 240 Pounds with a very TALL Torso. Would this pack work for someone built like myself? BTW I'm in the PNW-Astoria

Does the Warhammer have a built in rifle holster ? Plz respond
It doesn't come with the rifle scabbard, but you can purchase one that goes with it.

every kid at school that I see with that bag now I'm going to be friends with so they don't kill me if they have a gun in texas
