Alex North (born Isadore Soifer, December 4, 1910 - September 8, 1991) was an American composer best known for his many film scores, including A Streetcar Named Desire (one of the first jazz-based film scores), Viva Zapata!, Spartacus, Cleopatra, and Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?[1] He received fifteen Academy Award nominations for his work as a composer; while he did not win for any of his nominations, he received an Honorary Academy Award in 1986, the first for a composer.
He wrote the music for Unchained Melody as the theme for the prison film Unchained (1955),[2] It has become a standard and one of the most recorded songs of the 20th century, with over 1,500 recordings made by more than 670 artists, in multiple languages.[3]
First theatrical release was by Todd Duncan (January 19, 1955) and then by Liberace (February 21, 1955)
How she has the skills to sing those high notes at the end, and she has the courage to do it on this kind of television program at an event of great importance. She is awesome.

Angelina inspires me to do what I can to help make the world a better place, so I am asking all angels and others to spread the story of Narges Mohammadi. Angelina paid tribute to Narges, who is currently on a hunger strike while imprisoned in Iran, for being an activist for women's rights. Her two twin children, who are 17, spoke on her behalf at this event. The more people who are aware and call for change, the more likely the leaders of Iran will set her free. Acts of kindness, is what Angelina always reminds us to do. We angels, need to honor Angelina by doing what we can to be kind to others. The smallest acts of kindness can make a difference.
I'm a portrait artist, l say that, to say, l meticulously read faces and expressions without thinking about it. I could see the emotional changes in your face, very heart reflective, beautiful. I noticed the sincere facial changes as Angelina changed tone and intensity. You are such a dear heart, I'm sure you are a much loved Lady. REALLY look forward to your reactions, OMA.
It has a big orchestra, but Lana del Rey's minimalistic cover is much, much more impressive.
First, and foremost, I was a fan of the Righteous Brothers, but the cover that Bobby Hatfield did was not good. Hatfield took one of the most beautiful ballads and jazzed it up without the respect that it deserved. On the other hand, Angelina Jordan slowed the tempo down, and with her ethereal signature storytelling voice she paid honor to this timeless serenade making the finest rendition of Unchained Melody I have ever experienced in all my 76 years.
I think Elvis treated it better. I'll just say, " Lost that Loving Feeling" was great and leave it there.

Angelina is the reason l looked back at Elvis...l am 70, and l grew up on Hendrix, Joplin,Frank Zappa, till l turned 19 and left for NYC, and was introduced to jazz. I love Bop, and Angie hooked me with her Acapella " I'm a Fool to want You". Been memorized by her for 6 years now.
