Toast went with the numeron deck but probably should have just removed the maxx c's and the other hand traps for more consistency cards or battle hand traps and he would have run everyone over.

Leslie is the perfect example of why you do not put all your monsters in 1 single turn when you play this game lmaooo🤣

Seeing someone using the basic Demise and Ruin deck and winning warms my heart.
What's truly OP is if he gets the 10 Star Versions where Demise doesn't require you to sacrifice LP (if you use ritual monsters as sacrifices) and each destroyed card does 300 Damage to the owner, while Ruin not only does 2 attacks if you use ritual monsters as sacrifices but does piercing damage and the defeated monster's ATK as damage.
i literally use this deck in dm.. so good but can brick a lot lol

Seeing as she writes notes on her cards, and then looks at her notes to "figure out what cards do" instead of just reading the card directly..... She is almost intentionally handicapping herself with making a point to not actually learn the game.
i wondered if brodin had impcantation engine, cuz they worked so well for all ritual decks as they bring out ritual monster to the field faster and they are so cheap to craft. Also ruin and demise have their upgrade form which are lv 10 ritual monster
he was using the "ruin" starter deck from the game.
He's literally using a non-competitive starter deck from the beginning of the game. If she knew what she was doing, she would have smashed his face in.

This was a very entertaining duel I was cheering for brodin as he was the underdog, heck everytime Leslie ask to spare her I was just saying "send her and her blue eyes back to shadow realm
XD Brodin can really make his deck kill otv decks just by going through the two secret ritual packs there are. His only problem is Toast numerons. He did not even have the stronger demise and queen.

What a lot of people who complain about modern yugioh don't understand is that so long as you have a decent deck, just by reading the effects it'll pilot itself. So yeah, someone who starts 2 days prior can absolutely do fine with basic explainations.

@@chiefkeith5641 extremely fun, most OP cards have downsides like being difficult to get out, so when you can get it out it’s very satisfying. Plus actual yugioh nowadays are played with all OP cards. The duels that OTV plays are played like og yugioh and would be considered way too slow for todays meta. Yugioh now, has people summoning at least 2-4 OP card in their first turn and lots of chains
@@bunj272 its not even like og yugioh as their decks are lacking powerful one ofs. Do not forget while dm era was slower it had really powerful spell and trap cards.
Even OG Chaos dragon would be pretty cool. She could run ARA, wring some extra value out of the luster dragons

this is the best deck you can get for free within a short time to go against crazy stuff. its good that its like the first deck you can play after finishing the duel strategies in solo mode.

An old meta was demise otk, where you summon demise with advanced ritual art and destroy the field, then summon doom dozer with the insects in the grave. Those 2 cards + any ns would be over 8k damage.
Brodin could play that since it's not good in modern standards and helps with the problem of demise of not have monster presence due to destroying your own monsters.

edit: That was a stupid question of course you can lol. It's gonna get quite vulnerable though. It's all for nothing I guess. Bagooska my boi could also negate it (and prevent the opponent from attacking) easily.

Leslie could have used Sage with Eyes of Blue to special summon a Blue Eyes from her deck. And she could have used Jet Dragon to not only destroy the opponents monster but return one of his set spell/trap cards which would have made it harder for him to activate it.
They were underestimating brodin too much the whole game which made him a chance to win

To explain why Demise managed to clear the board, The dragons survived Demises nuke, but didn't survive the downside of having True Light get destroyed. When it is, it destroys all the monsters its controller has since the dragons only had protection from one destruction a turn.
It's not that actually. While the dragon cannot survive due to true light effect is true, the explanation is since true light is a continuous trap, its effect only applies when it's still on the field. Only when the card specifically states "even when this card leaves the field", the continuous effect will still be in effect until end of turn or the phase/step that it specifically mentions.
@@holyhexacross True light would be blown up at the same time as the monsters. Thus, true light would "see" the monsters get blown up and protect them, only for its own destruction effect to wipe the board.
This is why you show NO MERCY

@@chiiiiie5608 I would not call jet dragon playground yugioh. It's basically weaker dpe in a bricky deck. The fact that it has a relevant effect and comes back after any card is destroyed is strong. And I wouldn't call it playground when toast plays full powered numeron.
Brodin admitted defeat before Leslie first spared him. That could be why he didn't finish her of multiple times.

Tbh she could have won earlier if she didn't spare him early on she could use Blue Eyes Alternative Dragon's ability to remove the monster then attack dealing 3000 ATK then after summoning all the Blue Eyes cards and Man Eater Bug she could use Asure Eyes and Man Eater Bug to attack for any trap cards then attack with the 2 Blue Eyes Dragons left and ending the Duel
fuslie really need to buff her deck, her current deck won't stand a chance for syk deck or/and level, and brodin deck seems op but in real meta there is a lot of way to claps that deck. brodin may want to learn drytron deck instead. it can be adjusted to match their deck power.

@@michaeldavid1566 blue eyes is just a brick fest. Demise otk is based and will be good enough against any otv deck except for toast, since his deck is just a modern deck that blind 2nd and otks t2. Adding drytron helps with consistency but demise is still a deck that focuses on otk as well but in a more based way.
They are just playing for fun. It's more fun to watch that they don't have prefect decks and messing up

His Ascending Soul 25:59 didn't do anything, because he chained Renewal of the World to it. Continuous Cards need to resolve, before they become active.
Using Ascending Soul there, was also unnecessary, he could have just shuffled the Ruin, Angel of Oblivion in his Graveyard 11:48 back instead of sacrificing the Demise, Agent of Armageddon in his hand 26:42, because Renewal of the World let's you shuffle Ritual Monsters in your GY to Ritual summon what it banished.
Also instead of drawing a card when he summoned Demise 12:08, he could have used the Field Spell Breaking of the World,
to destroy Leslies Trap True Light, so it destroys her own monsters. So he wouldn't have to use his Life Points to activate Demise.
