I remember going to RIAT in the early 1990’s with our (then) two year old son - he’s just had his 31st birthday and still loves being around aircraft. Thanks for the amazing insight to this years show; with retirement on my horizon I may have to add a future visit there onto my bucket list. Thanks for sharing.
I one of the people that normally do the parking at the show but this year i had to pull out due to family issues as i am ex R.A.F i used to enjoy the flying when i could and i was there for 5 days covering the arrivals and departure days which was enjoyable, I have been at the shows from the early days as a spectator, first aid with St john ambulance and now traffic parking so i have seen it grow to the show it is today its worth going only if its once just remember to get there very early to avoid long traffic queues because the car parks are big
That massive grey thing was insane (I want to say 'camper van', but it's more like a house on wheels). We were camped right at the back and every time we drove past it we stopped and stared. That's the dream right there!
Pushing Tin already did a great job of portraying the role 😂😂😂But all jokes aside it’s probably very unlikely due to security risks. And it’s not as cool looking as this! 😂
Hi, B&Bers, I've been to four Duxford air shows (war birds, of course) and many airshows in the Antipodes; there is a definite (and same) demographic present in both countries and I wonder if you've noticed that, too. Not yet been to RIAT. The September Duxford show is now so popular entry is by on-line booking only, as I found out last visit (a very kind official made allowance for having been in the air for over 20 hours just prior to arriving and driving up from London).
I stayed at Townsend Farm for a week. It's a great site, and the staff are excellent. I've been staying there since 2015 and do the full week every time.
Hi went to fairford last Sunday really warm great show red arrows were amazing as was the Italians and the black eagles not far to travel we came from Cheltenham 👍
Great video. I thought I saw you walking around. I stayed a Kempsford camping for the full week and yes it was very hot, especially show day Sunday and departure day Monday.
I was at Kempsford camping too in my Knaus motorhome - very comfy and spacious for one (usually I bring my wife with me too). This was also my first time at RIAT
The Eurocopter is a great but if kit, lucky to have a flight in one through work looking for fire spread at a huge industrial fire a few years ago, then had a flight in a RN Merlin at families day 👌🏻great video guys
I done my 1st trip this year on the Saturday a day trip from dublin thought I seen you in static display but wasn't sure I will be going from Thursday to Monday next year 🤞 was it easy to book the campsite ✈🚁
You were pretty much pitched exactly on my spot in 2019! It's great to camp there even though I live just 8 miles away! I have a nice picture of the Lancaster overflying my aviation themed van. 🙂 Missed it this year due to other commitments. 😩
We were at the same campsite ☺️👍in the green field, Wednesday to Sunday but because of the heat left on the Saturday it's our second time and can't fault it. Favourite the Korean display team 😍what a noise and love the Italian display 😍 we'll be there again next year☺️
Only air show we have been to was family and friends at BAe Brough in the 1980s, planes were allowed to be much closer then, especially for a none public event. We particularly remember the stationary Harriers doing a bow at about 50ft away and the low level fly past of the buccaneers, loudest thing I have ever heard finally the lightening flying towards us then doing a full throttle vertical climb, it’s climbing rate has only recently been exceeded. For the millennial you missed out Costa coffee three times each a day at £2.65 a coffee is £5800 a year and is why coffee drinkers can’t buy a home.

Definitely go back! Such a good show! Enjoy retirement!

The black eagles stole the show this year
Great video... we are close to Coningsby where the typhoons are based. Fantastic noise, goosebumps everytime.
That’s very cool! Lots to see going on at Coningsby!

Agree re: Black Eagles too, by far the best display. Red Arrows need to mix it up a bit!
Its for sale too if you can find their facebook page! £400,000 I think they were asking!
Can’t beat a bit of “fast air” on my bucket list !
Loved that thanks; any chance of an episode of work?

That took me back to my childhood visits to (RAF) Finningley air show in the 60’s and 70’s. It’s now Doncaster Robin Hood airport. I loved it.
I bet that was awesome!!!
Oh my God a new video hooray hooray for me
How have I not done this before….! Awesome!!
You HAVE to go!! It’s so good!
Top vlog guys

I camp at Totterdown farm campsite. Unbelievable location with the display happening directly above!
Great video 😍
Absolutely fantastic, thanks for the video guys
You’re very welcome! It was a joy to film and edit!

I think next time I’d like to stay much longer!

That exact Juno helicopter (EC135) is what I fly in on a weekly basis at RAF Shawbury 😁😬 looks ace, wish I could have gone this year!
Fantastic! You’re very lucky 👍
Really enjoyed this one guys!! keep on vlogging 😁

The huge flying whale was cool.
😂 yes it was 🐳
Great video, we are hoping to go next year, I see the red arrow did a display each day. Did you do the Saturday or Sunday not the Friday? Thanks
We arrived at the campsite on Friday and went to the show on Saturday. The Red Arrows were amazing but it was also amazing to see other display teams!
@@ABusAndBeyond many thanks, see you there next year!
Great video, as always. One small thing - the Tempest is a 6th Gen aircraft not a 5th like the F35 and F22. Glad you guys had a good time.
I was just making a Top Gun joke but that’s good to know they’re onto the 6th Gen now! 😂
Cool Channel
Thank you very much
What’s the name of the site? Thanks Tom
Townsend Farm
