      I have a new Chrokee and would agree lol. Will say the new Cherokee is way cheaper though : )
      Also have a 78 Chief wide track : )
      Love them both.

    The cylinder head is grounded to the block via the cylinder head BOLTS, not the head gasket. You will NOT have any issues grounding to the head as long as all connections are clean.

      @Bob-Sacamano ปีที่แล้ว

      Yep. That's where the factory ground connections are as well. Front passenger side and rear driver side of the heads.

    Excellent work, I have one like that, too bad I don't have money to even change the rings, much less for an engine and suspension like that, congratulations on your work, greetings from Mexico

    Exactly what I wanted to do with my 77 Cherokee chief unfortunately it was stolen while I was in the middle of restoring it. Great work guys. Still my dream vehicle.

    Wow what an amazing job done and so fast! I'm deciding on whether or not to buy a 1978 chief. It's running, but I get the impression it's gonna require a lot of work. How much would a renovation like this cost?

    The OEM 1 in. Tube on front drive shaft should be increased to modern size (2 or 3 inch dia.) Since you have to make a new one, the stock fsj little tube is prone to twisting.

    It’s so dumb every show has to burn out,that’s not testing that putting tons of wear on new parts

    As soon as I heard “LS”, I immediately became uninterested. Like come one, you can’t tell me a 360 wouldn’t have been just as simple and cheap to build😐

    • @tielemobiel
      @tielemobiel 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 360 ain’t a cheap rebuild. The parts are much more expensive then parts for a chevy 350

    • @cleetismcdougall5425
      @cleetismcdougall5425 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You can find good running LS motors everywhere with EFI…cheap.

    • @ChristianHazel
      @ChristianHazel 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Then add injection, new front accessories that aren't misaligned from the factory, exhaust manifolds that don't crack or headers that don't leak, etc, etc. Or I could just walk over to the corner of my garage that already had an LS engine sitting there waiting for a project that needed it and use that. I just want this particular Jeep to go down the road every time I turn the key. I don't give a darn what's under the hood making it do so. Anyway, I gave the engine and tranny to a guy who is gonna rebuilt them and use them in his FJS pickup, so I didn't junk anything.

    • @UNREAL8745
      @UNREAL8745 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@ChristianHazel What I’m saying, at least for me, is that putting an LS into literally everything ends up lacking soul and integrity when it would be just as simple for these guys to get a drivetrain that’s closer to the brand of the vehicle it’s going in. These guys have the money and know how, yet nearly every time they have a chassis to something regardless of the manufacturer, “LeTs dRoP a TrEe-FiDdY iNniT!” Sorry, but it just lacks class to me🤷🏼‍♂️
