Several of Mylene's costumes and the stage design for this tour were inspired by the Byzantine Empire's art and culture (the Empire's capital was Constantinople, which nowadays is called Istanbul) 😊 The gates opening the entrance to the stage were extremely heavy, and could not be dismantled and transported to be re-assembled on another stage. This is why ALL 13 concerts from that tour were held in ONE city, on this ONE stage. The sarcophagus (burial chamber) that she lies in at the beginning is a play on a Sleeping Beauty who was lying in her bed in her eternal slumber. Mylene also used the Sleeping Beauty theme for the cover of the Avant que l’ombre… album (the album which this tour was promoting) - on the album cover she lies on the red sofa with eyes closed like a princess who waits to be awakened with a kiss. The crucifix on her neck is made of two matchsticks covered with red sulfur.

For me and it's just my taste her best intro it's 1) Coming from the vortex 2) at the Mylenium Tour and 3) this one.
