Mylène is very special in france. she is a monster in shows and in same time she is very secret and shy in private life. she put so much of herself in her songs that often when she sings them live she cry. in many songs you can see her with cheeks full of tears. she is loved by the public.

In fact her voice is not powerfull at all, she has a thin crystal voice, but we can't see that in this video.
It's an average song of her discography (wich is one of the best in the world, like her music videos) and lyrics are quite simple (rare for her !) so your translation is quite good.
I have to disagree about "not powerful". Her voice and the range she can sing is very powerful in my opinion. It is literally giving me goosebumbs, something only few singers can do.
However you pronouce the name of the song, its so cute and we are proud to share our Idol with american people !! And yes her voice is captivating, charming... because she and her composers think that the voice is like an instrument as a batery or a piano and the effect is like your hear the voice as it... the voice makes love with the melody and the instruments... she is epic and so appart in France
