I don't really get why all the hairdressers now use solely Shades eq for lowlights, when it washes out so quickly... Are your clients not annoyed to have to get this done every couple of weeks?
It’s less damaging. Blondes change their minds, and it’s better for the hair than lifting through permanent color. If her clients complain on how they get their hair then I’m sure she would use a permanent.
@@awhite3677 I wasn't talking about permanent colours as those should never be used solely for toning, but there are plenty of toning colours which last far better than shades eq, that's why I asked.
@@nastasiaaaaaaaaaa permanent colour wouldn't be a toner, so I'm not talking about permanent options. But I mean out of all toners, shades eq don't last at all- i don't understand the hype for it.
Love this change for her! It looks so good and blended. Question - I didn’t get to see her hair pulled back - would this end at all with a really bright piece only on the top/front of her hairline and not the sides?
Great job.I saw you just straight washed it and it did not smuge the highlights at all?I have a client who wants this to be done but scared about washing out.
My hair is fully blonde now but my roots are a dark rich brown. I’d like to ask my hairstylist to do something like this for me to break up the blonde. And also so I don’t have to come into the salon as much. Should I ask for the lowlights to match my root dark brown color?
I keep coming back to this video😂 I feel really good about toning! I am struggling with lowlight formulations especially for blondes! I feel like I add enough warmth but they look muddy. I used 3G + 4NW SEQ as a root melt & lowlight the other day and it looked green? I applied it on a level 8/9 so maybe it was just too dark for that starting canvas?
Why do you use shades EQ? Is it just cause she doesn’t want it for long? I have a client I’m going to do and I don’t know if I should use sades or gels? Don’t shades washout fast?
Usually shades washes out fast because stylist tend to not leave it on long enough. For a low light shades is perfect because it will give a good color & coverage but not be as thick & opaque as a cream color so it will blend into the blonde better.
I’m confused. Please help. You were using toner to foil in low lights… then you said, next we’ll do some toner. I always thought toner was for highlights only
…and I’m not hairdresser. I genuinely need to understand. I have remy extensions that are blonde but have shadow root & low lights that are turning from ash to bright copper. Toner won’t even budge them back to ash. Any suggestions by the pros would be so appreciated
10 vol doesn't lift. Only 20 or more lifts. 10 vol just deposits color. The only time 10 vol lifts is when mixed with lightener & even then just a 10 will lift very slowly.
Her hair is just stunning - so healthy & thick for processed. Gorgeous work!
What is the lowlight formula? What is a good formula for a root smudge? On a level 9/10 blonde?

@@vegan_guacWhat others are there? Ive only seen shades eq used but I didnt know there were permanent options.

@vegan_guac I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've only used shades eq once and I was NOT impressed. What do you prefer to use for toner?
Love your clear apron. Definitely need to get one of those :) thank you for the tutorial!

You do such beautiful color! You are very talented! I wish you had a shop in my city!
She is smart;)
thank you so much, thats so sweet :)
It's giving Jennifer Aniston vibes! Love it....Nice Work!
Can I ask you what products do you recommend with someone with frizzy wavy hair to get this style of waves? Thank you ❤
WT actual. STUNNING.
Wow… you are so talented, I wish you were in the Bay Area. So glad you are back making videos! 🙏🏻❤️

Yes! It will be so much less maintenance for you to add dimension (lowlights) back in there. Definitely say can you match my natural brown? 😊
How did that color not end up splashed all over your light shirt - I’d have been a mess
How long does it take to bleach?
Can you give me the dye numbers after bleaching?
OBSESSED!!!!!
yay! me too!
Do you use a bonder in your bleach? And do you take new clients?
My base colour is a 5 so what lowlights should I get on my blonde hair?
Who is the black male stylist in the back? I want to follow him too!
I love your new video intro!
ooh thank you for noticing!

Definitely too dark for the starting canvas. Try adding 6AA or something from the C series to your formula next time :)
Definitely needed a fill but we can’t do that with lowlights so adding a heavy warms as stated above helps with an even rich depth.
@@kennahconnett8480definitely not AA!
@@kimmy0868I add a 2 1/2 inch line of gold to my formula or use an NG or equal parts NG and Neutral!

Love this tutorial 😍 where is your apron from?
the brand is called ape the label!
before and after look really similar?
Beautiful ❤️ I had low lights put through my blonde hair and now I'm stuck with chocolate hair & all my blonde is gone 😔
Beautiful! 😍 How do you charge for this? Like do you call this service “lowlights?”
I charge the same as a highlight service. I'm using the same amount of product and time.
How do you do lowlights on bob?
you can do this same technique! doesn't matter the hair length

hello..mam..same work here...
😘 Beautiful
thanks!
Why do you use 10 vol if it will give you root lift? Is that what you want? :)

10 vol lifts my roots just enough to make them orange. Every single time. My hair is probably a level 5-6 😢
Looks grey not even ash
No it doesn't,and Her NUP is probably gold or copper gold so it will literally tone itself out in a couple weeks when Her NUP pulls through! 🤷
